Person assigned to do blowout canceled within a few hours of start time. this app took an hour to find replacement only to say no one’s available. I asked if makeup person could do hair. They said no. Makeup person calls 5 min after start time and learns this app gave her wrong address. Will be 20 min late to appointment because of this app. When I mention the already awful experience with this app, she says she can and does do hair!Awful. Will not use again.

it ever actually worked. I've had PRIV for YEARS on my phone & EVERY time I open it, it just stays on the all white, loading page that says "this app" until I close it out or until it just closes itself out.

it's a genius idea/great concept.. just terribly technologically, neglected.. the platform has definitely not been updated or maintained in anyway, & it shows in all the glitches & app-failures. super annoying. I'm finally deleting it after having it over 7 years & never once having a fully functioning app.. I'm over it.

I scheduled an appointment with this app a week in advance for a blowout for my daughter’s first freshman year PDC dance. The dance was on a Sunday evening at 7:00pm and there was a picture party at 5:00pm. I scheduled her blowout/hot tool style for 2:00pm. I sent a text to my confirmed stylist, Terrence H. At 8:30am on that Sunday morning just confirming our appointment. I also included a couple of photos of what my daughter wanted her hair to look like. I received a text at 11:05am from this app canceling my appointment, but the message said they were looking for a replacement stylist that was equally as talented as Terrence H. Then at 12:23pm….just hours before her event on a Sunday….this app sent another text saying they were unable to find a replacement stylist. The text ended with “apologies for that”! Needless to say, my daughter was devastated. Beware!

I got a single text message less than 24 hours before my event informing me they canceled my makeup artist and had no replacement. That was all the communication they sent, just a random text, leaving me without any options to find a new makeup artist. It was Friday afternoon at 3pm. I called every makeup studio I could find in my area (Newport Beach). But everything was already booked for the weekend. I had made my appointment at least a month in advance. So, I guess I’m doing my own makeup now…..Beware!! Would not recommend PRIV or service!! You’re better off booking direct with a studio or salon, where you won’t get some anonymous text canceling at the very last minute with no apologies or options.

I would give zero stars if possible. DO NOT BOOK if your time or event is important.

I travelled to Baltimore for an event and used this app since it was an easy way to book a makeup artist while away from my home city. My booking was at 5 pm. Several days before, the artist - Marquita - asked if my time was flexible. I explained my time constraints. Marquita said she might be a little after 5 and would let me know when she was en route.

After 5, Marquita was not on site but also not responding to messages. I contacted this app and they did not reach out to their network to offer to send another option. They said Marquita could come 90 minutes late. When I said that was unacceptable, asked me if I wanted to cancel and that was the end of the support. Marquita messenged at 7 pm (my event start time) and lied that she had communicated with me as she worked with clients throughout the afternoon - I hadn’t heard from her in over 24 hours. Not showing was one thing, the lie and lack of integrity was an insult.

The whole experience was unprofessional and a complete disappointment.

Booked hair and makeup for an event several weeks in advance. It was going to be one of those days with many things going on and hair/makeup for the evening event was important to be able to get to places on time. The time was carefully scheduled. this app made a few changes to the personnel and then confirmed the appointment weeks ahead of the day. 15 MINUTES before she was to arrive, she sent a message saying she would be 1.5 hours late!!! Of course that would not be okay!!! Turned a celebratory event into complete frantic-ness. So upsetting. this app is unprofessional and has vendors that will do this to you!

PRIV is difficult and it’s challenging to get prompt customer service if your professional bails.
My make up professional was excellent. My hair person canceled 55 minutes before the appointment. I understand life happens, but it became my problem to try to find someone or do it myself. If I wanted to do my own beauty, I wouldn’t have booked two weeks in advance. I had to keep booking on PRIV and wait for anyone to respond. Each time authorizing my credit card be charged. Customer service responds well after the scheduled appointment time. Not the first time; actually two out of two for using PRIV and service.

I keep choosing a date and then when I try to pick a time it tells me to pick a date. It would be nice if an error description would come up or available dates and times would appear. More glitchy than the old version. I could actually book appointments on the old version.

PRIV seems to be working better, except it keeps telling me to reenter my cc info even though it’s entered correctly.

Working with Kate was a wonderful experience. She took the time to discuss what look I was aiming for in advance. Showed up right on time and transformed my face like magic. I definitely recommend Kate and will be using her in the future!

I couldn’t have asked for a better first time glam app experience than what I had today. Keaira on time, professional, and had creative ideas for my glam. The airbrush was flawless and lasted all day. I’m very pleased and would definitely do this again.

Blair is extremely talented in applying makeup & lashes. She arrived timely with a professional setup to include a chair, lighting and a wide array of makeup. Her professional demeanor and positive attitude made me feel comfortable. My look was so fabulous that I received numerous compliments. I highly recommend Blair, and will use her again when I return to the DMV,

Chadd is an amazingly talented and beautiful person. He did a great job making us look and feel beautiful for New Year’s Eve. He used the best products and created a unique look for everyone in my group. I would highly recommend him. I hope to work with Chadd again in the future!

These people were fabulous! After scheduling my services they were in touch by text to make certain all details were correct. The day of the services scheduled, having never done anything like this before, I was a little concerned no one would show. The stylist was there as scheduled and I do not have the words to describe what this precious, talented, and confident lady brought to our day! It was my son’s wedding day and quickly became quite chaotic. She did 8 hair styles ranging from children, men and women’s styles. Lauren was the calm in the storm. What an angel. I am forever grateful to this app and Lauren.

I was visiting Austin Texas where I had to speak for the first time in front of a room full of pharmaceutical sales persons and I wanted to look my best. Heather came and not only ensured that my look was on point but I felt perfect. Thank you and if I should ever be in the area Heather is my first choice. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Thanks Heather!!!

I recently heard of this app through RHONJ after Margaret used their services for her mother.
I had to look it up because I thought it sounded like the coolest thing!!
Unfortunately their services are not provided quite yet in my location (Lake Geneva, WI).
I just wanted to write a review to share my opinion.
Lake Geneva would be a great area for a this app specialist to find work. If you know of the area you know it is known as the “Hamptons of Wisconsin”. I know a lot of women that would truly appreciate your business! Especially me!

First off I absolutely love the new UI! Much cleaner simpler and easy to navigate.

I've done everything from haircut to fitness and even massages and it's nothing but perfection. PRIV has done a tremendous job of not only creating an easy to use service, but also loading up PRIV with incredibly talented specialists.

An app I never knew I needed has become a vital part of my daily routine

I don’t know what I’d do without this app. But from the booking to the actual service, everything has gone so smoothly. It definitely beats having to go to a salon when you can stay in the comfort of your home and have them come to you. It also allows you to save your favorites so you can easily book with them again. Some of the best makeup experiences I’ve had has been from them. Thank you this app!

Used their services for the first time after my friend recommended it to me. My hair stylist, Sakeenah, was punctual, professional, very friendly, and though I started with an idea of what I wanted for my hairstyle, she asked me along the way to make sure it was exactly as I wanted. My makeup artist, Valeria, did a great job too!

Sending your pro’s some inspiration is highly recommended so they can gauge your style before arriving. Sakeenah and Valeria were both flexible and gave me some ideas I hadn’t considered.

Their price points are worth every penny!! The in-home or wherever you are professional services make getting glamorous easy, convenient, and red carpet worthy!

Thank you for making my New Year’s Eve birthday and engagement so special!! The pics say volumes!!

I’m so happy I was able to find PRIV! My niece was having her junior prom and told me last minute she had no idea what to do with her hair or make up. I was very fortunate to find someone last minute and book for her hair and makeup to be done at her home. They both did an awesome job and I will definitely consider using PRIV again for any future events. My only complaint is they do not service all areas which is unfortunate.

Gianna is the type of makeup artist you hope for. She arrives with her own lighting kit, an extensive brush and cosmetics set. She also has all of the extras and little things for the unexpected needs… puffy eyes, lashes, etc. Her experience and knowledge of products and application helped to give me the exact look that I wanted. Gianna was the absolute best. Strongly recommend for any event.
