IntelliFlashcards lacks some of the bells and whistles of the other apps. I'm okay with that, I don't them anyway. After a few hours I figured out an efficient way to import cards. Again, I'm okay with that. After importing 50 cards, IntelliFlashcards informed me, the free version has a 50 card limit. I don't remember seeing that before, but okay. A developer needs to make some coin. However, when I try to find out what the update costs whether it be through IntelliFlashcards , on the author's web site, or in the Apple Store no info. It's as if he wants to trap you into paying - tap... tap... tap... Gotcha! Too late! Thanks for the $$. Seems pretty dishonest to me. I done with this guy.

Importing limited to 10 cards per deck.

This is a great App that is based on principles of adult learning: repetition, variety, randomness and self-pacing. Words you've learned reappear at a reduced frequency. Words that you are still learning re-appear more frequently. Want words in one language, or the reverse-- that's easy. Want them randomly mixed in not languages, that's easy too. Synching between devices makes IntelliFlashcards versatile and device friendly. Highly recommended.

IntelliFlashcards is very simple to use when you want to create and organize your own content. I am a Family Medicine Resident Dr and I am using it to study for my boards. I am not the best with technology and I love when it is user friendly done.

After a year of testing the spaced repetition algorithm, Derek Sivers (entrepreneur, programmer, founder of CD Baby and just a great person) stated that it was the most helpful learning technique he has tried for 14 years.
The best combination: learn new information by building up the associations and move that information to long-time memory by repeating it with flashcards.
The app is built around Spaced Repetition technique, which is not the best to learn new information (yes, I was wrong believing that initially), but the best to keep the information youβve learnt.
Iβm aware of the fact, that average user would add 1500+ flashcards on his learning path.
Thousands of users love Intelli Flashcards for its simplicity, effectiveness and elegance.
So here is the deal: download it for free, try it with the only limitation of 50 flashcards, and if you love it, support the project by making an in-app purchase.
Under the hood you will find Sebastian Leitnerβs algorithm which basically has two simple rules: if you remember whatβs on the back side of the card, the repeating interval is doubled (1-2-4-8-16 days and so on).
From developer: after finishing working on Intelli, I started to use it to learn Spanish just to test the effectiveness of this algorithm.
And when somewhere in the future you realize, Intelli has supported you a lot on your path of learning, Iβd love your short review in AppStore.
You add flashcards on your own, with vocabs or information you want to remember.
Intelli Flashcards was designed to be used every day by someone, who learns foreign language.
He might be outdoors and in a rush, so the process of creating a new flashcard is 0 clicks away - itβs right on the main screen! The repeating session is just 1 click away.
Intelli is not the only tool Iβve used, but it had the biggest impact on the learning speed and effectivity.
Inspired by that article, Iβve worked on the possibility of adding images directly to flashcards.
