Feyn - Flashcards Reviews

I love the idea of vertical cards for working on a horizontal display. At first on loading Feyn I was disappointed because I traditionally make all my cards horizontal. But now after using I see your logic, because I can do half or quarter screen with another app and still create my cards! Excellent idea. The writing is good and system easy. One suggestion would be to be able to thumb flip the cards -- as reaching to the top becomes tedious. Thanks for working on Feyn. Handwritten cards are really best for memory retention. Get's the whole mind working.

Feyn is exactly what I was looking for, however I like to create my cards using Procreate and currently there is no way to import cards from anywhere else. An import function would be great for Feyn! Also, I struggled to write information down due to the lack of a zoom feature while creating cards. Overall, Feyn is amazing for a start up!

Please make the flash cards bigger on the iPad! The card itself is tiny on the screen of an iPad, so making it bigger would allow for easier access to write on them with the Apple Pencil.

Great concept. Feyn has a lot of potential. The biggest issues I have are that you can’t practice your cards again once you’ve already checked them off. Also, like other reviewers said, you have no say in the order of the cards or anything like that. Lastly, it would be so helpful if you could zoom in on the cards while writing. Would love to see some updates!!

Awesome app! I’m a very visual person, so while i’m learning my different languages that have a different alphabet, I draw down the letters and things that I learned in that lesson. Later, I can go back to them and look over them. Thank you for this, it has a lot of potential. Definitely recommend downloading.

I really like the concept of this app and I wanted to try it out, but I found out that you can’t import the cards from your Ipad to your Iphone. I take a bus everyday and don’t bring my Ipad, just my phone, so I can study. How am I suppose to draw on my iphone? It just looks messy and I have this thing where I can’t study unless it looks neat. Overall, I’m sure Feyn is great for Ipad users.

Has the feature I need, which is simply a hand written flash card that can be used when reading. Obviously in early stages, but essential idea is there. Main things I would need are: Folders, export to anki, and pinch and zoom.

Feyn is amazing. All I would ask for is an import feature, so maybe a friend could send a file and you could import the flash cards into Feyn and edit them.

Otherwise, great app!

I wish we could organize our cards more freely instead of just folders, like moving the cards around

I think the only thing I would change is the ability to zoom in because it can be a tab bit difficult to add small details.

Simple and easy to use app. However, I wish there was an option that allows the flash cards to be scrambled while using the spaced repetition feature.

I love this concept of making fun flashcard while studying. However, some people don’t have apple pencils so it is sometime hard to write. Also, please enable zooming in on the flashcard so that us users can write more exact notes. I love Feyn!

This is a really good app. No “premium” subscription for cloud sync or Apple Pencil support - everything works. I love making cards on my iPad and immediately having them on my iPhone to review. This is a really good app.

Absolutely adore Feyn for the idea. Totally understand that it is just a beginning. Would love to have the following functions:

- switch back to front and front to back views when revising cards; absolutely essential for me as most of the time I use it for language learning
- folders? Although tags work for me but the main page would look neater I think

Used a considerable amount of background processing on iPhone before app set up was completed. Will reinstall once this is addressed.

Feyn is great at what it does. I just wish there was nested folders and more organization in general, especially since I use flash cards for many different subjects.

I like the drawing feature a lot, however I wish they also had an option to type it in.

I saw my friend using Feyn, so I gave it a try. After spending an hour and a half creating my notecards for OChem, Feyn crashed and refused to open. After uninstalling and reinstalling, all of my notecards are blank. Incredibly frustrating. Don’t waste your time with Feyn. Just go find a better one.

incredibly helpful for visual learners but pleeease make it so we can zoom into the drawing grid, especially on ipad. it’s hard to see what you’re writing sometimes and the ipad’s larger screen isn’t worth anything anymore if the drawing interface is still stationary. other than that, v well designed and pleasant to use :)

I made some cards on my iPad and for some reason I can’t see some of the writing on my phone. It’s like it’s dark writing on the iPad and light writing on the phone so I can’t see it against the white card background.

I really like the simplicity and look of Feyn so far. The SRS system works pretty well and the filters are nice. However I would like to be able to group the flash cards. I am able to tag and filter them, but it would be more convenient if I would be able to group cards together and label them (ie. Earth Science-Water Cycle or something). It would also make the interface less clustered looking if the cards were ‘stacked together’ in groups.

Simple app. Well designed. Great study aide. Free!
