In my opinion PadQuillNotes is not what you think it is if you buy something it really does not work I would not get PadQuillNotes

For real just update it. Make it more compatible for new phones, fix the bugs, add more things.

I downloaded iOS 8 and all the data from PadQuillNotes disappeared. I am beyond furious seeing as I used PadQuillNotes to write on

I used the last iteration of the Pad & Quill app and was sad when that one was no longer updated. When I heard that a new version was coming along I was excited, as I loved the options for fonts and covers that were available. When the new version came out I immediately downloaded it and was happy with the usability and features. I even went in for the in-app purchase of more fonts and the ability to add photos. For a while I was a happy camper. Then problems started. One day, I could no longer type in landscape mode, the page freezing every time I tried to type. Next, the save feature ceased to function, causing me to lose my work. Then even when I typed in portrait mode the screen would freeze when I tried to save my work. I had to close out of PadQuillNotes every single time I typed something new and hope my work wouldn't be erased. I contacted customer support (through their website written in another language) with specifics but never received an answer. PadQuillNotes is a huge disappointment, and I recommend that you stay away. There are too many other good writing apps out there to waste time on one that is not properly maintained and gives no customer support.

After downloading PadQuillNotes this morning and paying $2.99 to unlock all the added features, I discovered that there are no added features, other than two other font types. There seems to be no other paper choices, no way to label notebooks, no way to see the notebooks together and no way to insert photographs within a notebook which would be useful and expected. Additionally, after additional features were "unlocked," I also discovered the notebook I had begun had vanished with all of its content. Refund please?

PadQuillNotes was a good alternative to using online journaling and for taking notes during phone calls! It worked all right, but today during an important phone call that I needed to take notes on, it crashed and wiped all my other notes (thankfully, I had them saved elsewhere). I'm disappointed that an app that worked well for me failed to deliver and perform well during crucial moment.

It looks it’s free or you can try it to see how it works out; but it gives you link to app cases and website for tablet accessories and no way you can try anything without buy it. They get higher downloaded number yet the least users and appreciation. Don’t download dishonest,

PadQuillNotes needs a free trial period to be added to it. There’s no way to preview all the features and I’m not sure how well it suits my needs without it. I’ve been looking for a journaling app with covers that I could customize and that I could add images to. What I noticed in the limited version is it doesn’t have a way to change the text or the colors of the text, the page color and style can’t be changed either. Has some bugs the quill at the bottom of the page has options but when pressed nothing happens it’s blank. You can’t add pictures until you pay for PadQuillNotes so I’m not sure what options you have or how well it handles placing them on the pages. No voice recording option and no tags.

I initially got PadQuillNotes and it worked very well. But then the problems started: I couldn't save and I wasn't able to type in landscape mode. If they would just have more frequent updates and bug fixes then I could rate the product a lot higher and use it a lot more often like I used to, but now I feel like I have to open a new notebook every time I want to use it and God for bid I use more than nine pages or it will freeze every single time.

I use to love PadQuillNotes! I would hold all my writings in it, but now it just crashes in the middle of me writing something, and it doesn't even save it! Sometimes my journals delete by themselves, deleting everything that I had written in it. I'm so mad that i wasted money on this.

I cant get it to work. I am trying to journal and the letters don’t appear on the screen. I looked for customer service to contact someone but can only find links to purchase products. I wish I could use it.

Love the design of PadQuillNotes but the red tab advertisement on every notebook absolutely kills me. The upgrade should at least give an option to hide this.
I like the simplicity of PadQuillNotes too. I purchased the upgrade and found that I can only upload square images to my notes (Really? I know we live in an Instagram age but how about an option to upload portrait and landscape images). Another key feature missing is the ability to arrange the table of contents manually. This is a pretty huge one for me. Not being able to organize my pages the way I need them to be is pretty frustrating. Not having this feature leads me to believe that this is more a journal app than anything else since every page is sorted by date.
So if you're looking for a simple journal app this might be for you. But if your looking for a note taking or all purpose writing app, then keep looking.

When I saw PadQuillNotes, I knew it was what I wanted. I wanted someplace to write stories on the go, and this was it. However, it needs more.
Could you enable titling on your journals so you don't get them mixed up? Like, a label on your notebook in the menu so that you can tell what journal's for what? Also, could you enable toggling the dates on and off and make PadQuillNotes a straight notebook that doesn't necessarily have to be a diary? Thank you.

I write fan fiction and this is a great app for writing to go! I've written a whole 12 chapter story so far. The only reason I'm not giving it a full five stars is because I wish it had a word counter on it.

I haven't used it a lot yet, but so far I'm well-pleased. Lovin it.

I hope the owners of PadQuillNotes along with PadQuillNotes makers are going over reviews from people using their product. I was looking for a good journal. Something to keep all my ideas in one place while I get rid of the physical papers and all the different projects I have. I came across PadQuillNotes through what seems to be an old 2012 article boasting this product. I came to the Apple Store to look for it and it seems it is left to nothing. The black and white format is bland and definitely not like the picture I saw in the article with wood grain background and books stacked upon each other to indicate the varying portfolio of ideas. Instead you side swipe for the various journals created. I am disappointed to say the least. I had been looking for something similar to the older version. Unfortunately, that is not what I found. I found a bland app which seems downgraded by its makers. I'm sorry to whatever brought you to the decision of revamping PadQuillNotes to it's present day form. Please bring back the old format with wood grain. Black journals with its title on the left and a black background.

I could not open it on my iPhone 6 but it works well on my iPad mini.

(Another reviewer requested the ability to name their journals...but you already can. Simply tap the gear icon on the notebook, then click the notebook's name to edit.)
What a gorgeous app. PadQuillNotes has transitioned nicely from the old iOS look to the new, and has looked beautiful all the while. It's a modern style that feels more like an old moleskine journal than any other app. It's a pleasure to use, and there have been no syncing issues for me.

I have just started using PadQuillNotes, after trying several journal and writing apps. So far, I like it very much. It is a nice, simple notebook app. Multiple notebooks, with as many pages as you like. With the upgrade, you get a selection of covers, three different typefaces, and the ability to add a photo to each entry. As a long-time journal-keeper in search of the perfect journal app, I find this one hits the sweet spot in terms of UI, flexibility, simplicity, and visual appeal. Please keep up the good work!

I've tried a lot of journaling/notebook apps and this is easily the best of them for me. It's straightforward, got a good layout (especially the menu for font and whatnot on each page), and it's beautifully designed. I'll definitely be buying the rest of the covers and fonts. The only complaint I have is that when you touch the page you're brought right down to the bottom instead of where you touched and brought to the top when you close the keyboard so it kind of jumps around when you're on a longer page. But kudos! This is a great app. Well done.
