My landlord suggested I use this service to find someone to sublease my room. PadMapperApartmentFinder looked promising, and flaunted a 90 second quick posting process. I made an account using my email, made my posting, put the time and effort in to add photos a description etc. I thought I was done then I saw the notice that the listing I had made was not public and would not show on any searches or maps, and that I should email them to make it public. 1) this depleted the purpose of using an app like this if you have to hassle the company to make your listing public, which they never did. Who uses apps like this so they can send their listing to just friends and family? 2) They locked me out of my own account, and said some stuff about invalid listing or something and I can’t even log on because they flagged my account for whatever reason. I literally downloaded and made an account on PadMapperApartmentFinder an hour ago, post a listing that looks like everyone else’s, and now I can’t even go on to delete the listing myself and remove personal photos of my room and house and name. Very disturbing app, DO NOT USE it is a huge hassle and didn’t work in the end

I was going to rent a room in my house until for whatever reason PadMapperApartmentFinder decided to publicly post my name and address and advertise it on google. You would think they’d realize this is a safety issue. I reported my post after I took it down and reach out through support to have it taken down and it’s still up. So far I’ve had 3 people just show up at my house. One guy went as far as arguing with me on my front porch when told him we weren’t renting the room anymore and demanded he be let in to “at least see it”. Not everyone is just a good person looking for a roommate, and I should never have to deal with something like this because of a stupid app. So please if you do post on PadMapperApartmentFinder be careful when you set up your posting and exercise caution when giving PadMapperApartmentFinder any of your personal information.

This was impossible to use and I got no help when I emailed them. My Facebook account has always been attached to my old college email address. PadMapper uses your Facebook profile to “validate” who you are and will not let you change the email address from the Facebook email address. When I tried to set up another account with my actual email address, they again asked to verify with Facebook and rejected my listing because my profile was already tied to another account. So now I have no way to create a listing with a working email attached to it. I’ve tried to delete my previous account to no avail. Also the idea that you can only post from your iPhone is inconvenient and unnecessary. I very much recommend everyone here try Roomi instead. You validate who you are with government issues IDs and you can perform a background check.

When I sent a message to an apartment manager for a place I was interested in, I would get a notification in my email that they had replied. However, their response wasn’t in the email, and nowhere in PadMapperApartmentFinder or my PadMapper profile. It said to reply to the email to see what the apartment manager said; however, once I sent an email, I didn’t see any message.

So basically, someone thought a good method would be for people to blindly reply to messages they can’t read.

Also, I’ve had to unsubscribe to emails and alerts in three different places now, my inbox was slammed with notifications I didn’t want and didn’t ask for.

Never using this again.

I was wondering why nobody was contacting me about my rental listing. Then I realized that the account re-linked itself to my FB email address, which is not a real email account. I tried changing my FB email, but it won't let me. I tried making a new Padmapper account in my husband's name, but I must have typed the wrong password the first time; after attempting to link his FB account, it asked me to input the password again. I put in the password and it was wrong. I tried to change the password and it asks for the old one. I am literally ready to bang my head against a wall.

I don't think they have customer service either, so now it is likely impossible for me to list anything on there. Screw PadMapperApartmentFinder and the headache it brings.

Total garbage for people trying to do a posting. Unbelievable how poorly info is communicated on PadMapperApartmentFinder . The fact that you have to download their app just to post is just dumb, why not have options, like an option to use your computer to post like all the other sane posting sites do. Also, why not state that the user has to contact the company to actually post something, which isn’t very clear when you set up a posting. I waited for a couple days and realized my posted wasn’t showing up because I hadn’t contacted the company. Should just be a submit tab and that’s it, so confounding why they set it up like this. PadMapperApartmentFinder is not intuitive at all. It might be a great platform for looking but for posting, forget it.

After searching for a place over 4 months and reached out to ask how can I report a fake listing after calling a different number based on the address for the location and after reaching out to ask how can we report a site and advised them the number and email address is not valid, I was told: All contact information to get in touch with the property is available on the listing page for the property. Zumper does not have any additional information on how to get in touch with the person or company responsible for managing the property, nor do we reach out on your behalf.

So I’m informing you of a fake listing and this is your response.

I downloaded PadMapperApartmentFinder because apparently for some reason that’s the only way you can post a listing, which is weird to begin with. Why aren’t you able to post on your desktop as long as you have an account?

I decided to download PadMapperApartmentFinder and try it out anyways and drafted up a listing. There was an option to not put your address so I clicked on this for privacy matters. After I saved, the address location still showed in the draft. I tried to go back and see where the option was but could not find it. Then I tried to see if I can just delete and start over. I couldn’t do that either. Already frustrated with this situation somehow I got locked out of my account. I tried resetting the password but it would not and said my account is blocked.

I emailed support and have yet to heard back. But I am getting their marketing emails.

Awesome concept but can’t use it due to the below. I signed in for padmapper using Facebook to login but my Facebook email was outdated. I tried to switch my email on Facebook but your padmapper account keeps the original email you signed up with your Facebook at the time of originally signing up for padmapper. Once you synch your Facebook account it won’t let you unsynch your Facebook account and therefore you are stuck with whatever email you originally signed up with. A very specific problem but now I can’t receive emails from PadMapperApartmentFinder because they force you to synch your Facebook and resetting it does nothing.

At first, I really liked PadMapper. They rarely sent me ‘no pet’ listings. I thought it was an ‘on the ball’, detail oriented group of app developers. But now I am starting to think it’s rigged. The same ‘rented’ place has Stayed on PadMapper At Least 10-14 days. I reported it as rented Twice myself. It’s still there. When you click on this apartment, they try to sell you another for $450 MORE! Hey, I can get bait and switch from property managers, and the price difference is only $100! Maybe PadMapper is getting a payoff from some of the realty companies! Best way to find apartments is thru people you meet!

Every time I’m on PadMapperApartmentFinder for more than 5 minutes, it freezes and then my entire phone crashes. I have an iPhone XS and have never came across this problem with any other app I have used. It completely turns off my phone and I can only turn it back on by charging it. Once it turns on, I see I have over 50% battery life is it’s not that. I will have to look elsewhere for an apartment until they figure out what is going on.

Hi PadMapper peeps. Great app, only frustration is that not everyone works in Tech, nor even if they do, wants to live in one of those ‘Tech Dorm’ living spaces. I think you know which ones I’m talking about when a buldings puts in either bunk beds and or single beds. Please put in the filter option, like you have for ‘Exclude AirBnB’....exclude Tech Dorms.

I will forever be so appreciated. I think one of the biggest things that all apps miss is the putting yourself in the shoes of PadMapperApartmentFinder user (empathy) and how easy it is to use with all of the features to organize, etc.

I like PadMapperApartmentFinder but I haven’t received any responses from apartments. I wish there was a filter to search for “Verified Only” apartments. I also wish there was as a filter for how recent the posting is (on the website, you can choose postings that are no more than 6 days old)

I like PadMapperApartmentFinder but my issue was that several times when I went to view apartments, the rent amount was higher than what was listed on PadMapper.
Since I was budgeting for a specific amount, this was extremely irritating and a waste of my time.
The properties would say PadMapperApartmentFinder hadn’t updated in a timely fashion. ???
I did however, find an apartment using PadMapperApartmentFinder that I’m pleased with and in my budget. All in all, I would recommend PadMapperApartmentFinder.

PadMapper is a simple, no fluff app. It has just what you need to find a place in your area. The only issue I have had, is that an apartment show up in my area that had the same exact address as another apartment that was in a different state. That’s not a reason to stay away from PadMapperApartmentFinder though, since it’s the only time it’s happened. I wanted to share the good and the bad though.

Found my perfect apartment ok PadMapper. I could not have been more pleased with the customer service I received! They didn't stop until I was satisfied with my apartment. I will most definitely be using it in the future.

This is taking the stress out of moving for me. I’ve been in Denver for the past month searching for 1br apartments. I finally found out about PadMapper from Reddit. PadMapperApartmentFinder has been the most helpful so far out of all of the ones I’ve tried. The daily recommendations are great too.

Reviewing from Pittsburgh - this town loves Padmapper! Craigslist got me zero responses. With only two weeks left to find someone I was super worried about how I was going to advertise until someone on Reddit recommended PadMapperApartmentFinder. To my relief, I got dozens of inquiries within a few days and rented my apartment the same week I signed up! Extremely grateful.

I love PadMapperApartmentFinder I love the layout and how it runs it makes all those annoying things about house searching a bit easier to deal with I even enjoyed how it sent email and text reminders it would be cool to have it also sync with my calendar and I’m sure it does somehow lol but really I love PadMapperApartmentFinder and now I will be recommending this to anyone who is looking

PadMapper was a great web app when it arrived. From what I see now, the web app has been cut down so it doesn’t allow posting an apt. Instead, one has to download PadMapperApartmentFinder. But the biggest sin is requiring FaceBook to post an ad. Ostensibly for verifying that I am a real human, it is terrible that PadMapper forces one to get a FB account in this day and age of account safety breaches and FB losing trust faster than the Titanic sank. I don’t and will never have FB. Now I won’t have PadMapper as well.

I really wish PadMapper supported posting a rental from their website. Posting from PadMapperApartmentFinder is painful due to the need to copy content from my computer to my phone. This is especially true for photos. Photos are displayed in reverse-chronological order, with no way to view albums/collections. This resulted in a lot of scrolling to find photos.

Sends push notifications saying new units are available. When you click on it it says no new updates. Does this multiple times within an hour. It’s super annoying. I ended up disabling notifications entirely.

I actually found my spot in Boston through PadMapper and I’m hoping to make it 2 for 2 with finding a place in NYC. Filters are great and it’s very easy to use

I think it’s funny that the ad shows someone looking for a $12,000/month apartment.
