Why does ChiMarathon default in metrics? Who in America tracks their pace in km/min?

Oh well!

The pace should be in minutes per mile - not kilometers! Or at least give us the option to change it in settings.

You can’t click on the search bar to enter in runner information- it takes you to the previous screen- please fix! (iPhone 10)

Get the NYC marathon app development team to build one for you. The runner has run for 30 mins now which based on his pace should have run 4-5 miles already and yet it shows 0 mile and no pace info. Very disappointed!

The biggest bonus of ChiMarathon is supposed to be the ability to track a runner. It doesn’t work. Fix it!

IPhone XR, iOS 13.1.2. Tap on Track, returns to previous page. Well done, Tata. Reinstalled Saturday night, around midnight. Same result. I hope this is activated Sunday morning before the race starts.

ChiMarathon desperately needs help. It is clear the corners were cut in the design and editing of ChiMarathon. It is nearly impossible to use in some sections.

The tracker function does not work. Can’t even enter info to search for a runner.

I get that there is a lot of international runners in this race and the metric system is the universal standard, but most of the participants are from the US and we track by min/mile. Should be able to change to this form of tracking easier.

I tried to track my friend on Sunday. It showed she never crossed the start line then once she got to the 5k point it loaded the start time and the 5k Point then I tried to find her around the 25k point then the 25k line disappeared completely from ChiMarathon then all of a sudden she was at the 40k point. When I looked at the results at the end the 25k point magically appeared again. If you are going to have an app for 40k + people running you better be able to support that amount of people tracking everyone. Such a disappointing tracking experience.

Was trying to track a friend running the marathon. Finally resorted to using the website to do so as ChiMarathon stalled when opening it and never updated her tracking despite the correct bib number being entered, etc. Yes, tried rebooting, closing and reopening app, reinstalling.

Why do the leaderboard and elite field sections default to male runners? Even when I re-sort to women runners and click on a profile, if I go back it returns to me to male runners. Why are men the default?

I could not find anywhere in the Chicago Marathon app the start times for the race. How can you leave out one of the most important statistics?

Over all this is a decent app. Individually tracking 40,000+ is impressive.

The disappointment is that the claimed tracking isn't real-time tracking. It's an estimate with check-in points every 5 k.

That brings me to the second strange quirk. It's in Chicago (which uses Imperial measurements), it's advertised as a, "Marathon" (which is 26.2 imperial miles) but the check in points are metric... Like it or not, 90% of American users will not be able to visualize the metric distances and be able to tell where the competitors are on the track.

Finally, ChiMarathon insists of zooming back to my location on regular, 30 second intervals without prompting. As I'm scrolling around the map to see the runner or locations, I would just locate the desired information and ChiMarathon would zip back to my location. I'd have to go back on the scroll hunt for the information I desired.

Basic functionality is good, just some weird things going on in the minds of the developers.

(1) The setup procedure was quick and easy
(2) The tracking map was spot on. It had my friend tracked that we had no problem spotting him and cheering him on.
(3) I was able to switch the map from Ks to miles

ChiMarathon definitely helped me reached my PR! I run with my phone (doing so for years) with the tall building my GPS watch is off... I tracked myself on ChiMarathon . After crossing some of the timing mats I checked ChiMarathon . It shows your estimated time at that pace. I knew when to slow my pace or pick it up. Was kike my own personal pacer!

Easy to download and navigate through each setting. Made it easy for me to remain engage!

Worked great to track my friends. Very cool!

I ran my first Chicago marathon this weekend and ChiMarathon missed me at the starting line and the 15K mark. This caused stress for my husband and kids that were tracking me and then ChiMarathon reported a time of over an hour slower than my true finish time. It tracked my friends that I ran with just fine the whole way. But I had heard reports that happened to others. My time is correct on the race website but it’s been 2 days and it’s still wrong on ChiMarathon . I hope it gets fixed as I trained so long for this race.

I restarted ChiMarathon and the buttons finally worked. I was panicking for a second. I like how it automatically refreshes!

Can’t get it to load! Trying to track my family! This really upsets me! This is the worst site I have ever tried when tracking a runner! Get someone else to do this ! This makes me so angry, I have tried for three hours, the race is well on its way and I can’t get you to load! We need other options and not something that doesn’t work! 😡

I’m a spectator and this the worst I’ve been to. Tracking doesn’t work, little to no signage and your guides or what ever you call them were useless. Ran me all over the place for east viewing Bebe got there but 30 dollars was paid for tickets,
