Very poor, not what I expected from fluke

Let me start out, I am very tech savvy and know my way around some of the more difficult programs & interfaces out there, FlukeConnect is just a Clumsy mess. Did they beta test this at all?!

And a huge warning - they now want you to subscribe to access your data logs. I didn’t by a logging tester to be roped into a never ending subscription!!!! I should have to pay extra to access my data! Any lawyers out there? I would gladly join a class action, I expect better from fluke- extremely disappointed!

Useless

I dont know, maybe I just don’t know how to use it. As an everyday electrician working in a mill that uses a clamp meter for trouble shooting, I found nothing in here useful. Literally nothing! It brings up subscriptions needed, but couldn’t figure out how to get the subscriptions. (Not that I would pay to log the ohm readings of a mill motor) I was just curious. Maybe it’s for someone who’s got more going on than me and can figure it out, but as for me? Deleted.

Good Hardware - Lousy Software

Fluke 376FC and Fluke Connect (or not)

There are many folks who simply want to:
1) view real time data remotely either for safety or accessibility.
2) Log data AND be able to retrieve data to Excel.

There are many folks who DO NOT want to:
1) Be burdened with team environment and assets - I just want to measure my darn refrigerator!
2) Be burdened with fees when already having spent good money on the meter just to simply use the tool(s) for typical daily work.
3) Be burdened with super annoying nagging messages of notifications.
4) Having made measurements on a system where setup was complex and/or expensive just to find out later you CANNOT download the data (app crashes on large data sets). Fortunately I have an older iPhone with older software that is able to pull data off meter.
5) Explain to others (and management) that you need different equipment to take field measurements as Fluke cannot do it (software). Thats embarrassing for me who for many years touted Fluke and embarrassing for Fluke to not fix this garbage after years of review complaints.

Useless feature bloated app.

This requires a full sign up for a complete work order and asset monitoring application that I have zero use for. All I wanted was the ability to view meter readings remotely from my phone, which it barely does and looks complicated. This is the 21st century people, make a simple app that only does what it needs to!!! Not some feature bloated app that doesn’t work well!!!

Make a simple controller app PLEASE?!

Love Fluke products, if only you guys could make an app just to control your loggers/meters and remove account/cloud requirements then you’d be making progress. I have a 1748 that I can only control via a portable device if that device is using an older version of FlukeConnect and does not have a network connection. Won’t work with an iPhone XR, come on guys.

Absolutely packed with useless features that don’t work

If you think it’ll show you the minimum , maximum and average voltage and amperage you’re out of luck. It can’t do that. It’ll video call a friend to see your blurry photo but it won’t save your voltage without creating work orders and item inventory and still need two people. You’d think you could save measure voltage and save it. Nope. You have to have a second person tap save while you’re holding the probes on. It’ll make graphs and all kinds of crazy stuff (that won’t save) and even take blurry photos because it can’t focus the camera.

Garbage

I’ve had the 376FC since 2019 and just like every other review here I got roped in to the absolutely misleading hype. Monitor wirelessly crap!! Just like everyone else, I shouldn’t have to pay for a subscription to view and save my data on an idiotic app!! I mean talk about a crap company! 1.8 out of 5 why don’t you do something about that? What a Waste of money! Shame on you Fluke!! Thanks for nothing!!

Garbage

DOES NOT WORK!!!
Bought this in September of 2021 because it says that you can use their app and get the information wirelessly. NOT! After weeks on the phone with support where they kept sending me the same info on set up and linking with the data logger (which I did over and over, even videoing it to show the steps) I sent it back to have them look at it. It came back saying they successfully recalibrated it?!? What?!? I went Fluke because of the name. Too bad they don’t have as good a name as they used to, or they don’t care much to launch this Garbage. Make it work before you sell it!

Who designs Fluke software??

The graphing feature is absolutely horrible. Im not sure how you can’t zoom in and out, seems like an absolute necessity. When talking too support they told me most customers export the data and use excel to manipulate the data, seems like a cop-out. I’m using this for 3-phase power logging. One thing that’s nice is that on FlukeConnect it shows all 3 voltage channels on one graph, on the flip side there is no way of graphing all channels on the web version. Seems like a huge miss. The one thing I’ve learned about Fluke is that they really struggle on the software end of things.

What the fluke

every time fluke updates FlukeConnect they make it worse. Why do I have to create an account to access data that should be on my phone, not the cloud.

I’ve been frustrated for years with FlukeConnect. I started reverse engineering fluke connect protocols about a year ago. Now that the pandemic has given me a little free time, Im able to continue my node-red/ arduino implementation of fluke connect to free the limitations of this BS app and allow a ui that allows other brands and types of test equipment to be implemented using a singe FREE ui.

Ive invested 10’s of thousands of dollars in fluke equipment over the years. Im not going to pay a hardware company a subscription for subpar software development when you can achieve at least the same or better open source software for free.

Terrible

I have tried a dozen times, I have downloaded and re-downloaded as many - no matter what I do, this program does not see EITHER of the two 1748’s that I have running. All I want is to see them. They are there as hotspots, I can connect there, the blue light comes on, but the but program will not show them. I suspect that someone connected to a Windows computer and somehow locked me out, but my iPad and phone WILL NOT SEE THEM. A program that cannot even give me a hint as to what is wrong is worse than terrible, it’s practically evil.

Does not work

I’ve had very little success out of Fluke’s app. Which is very disappointing, considering they make very good quality handheld meters. I’ve got two Fluke Connect thermocouples and an amp clamp. Without a decent app to monitor real time data remotely completely negates the functionality of the products.

When I open FlukeConnect , it fails to open FlukeConnect . Just endlessly shows “loading”. iPhone 6s, iOS 14.3. I’ve had buggy issues in the past and just dealt with it, but now it won’t even open. Extremely frustrating

Not going to pay if I can’t try first

I needed a new clamp meter, I’m happy with the meter. I figured I might as well try the Fluke Connect seeing how other brand tools I use with apps work pretty well. I can’t seem to even connect without signing up for a subscription, none of my other brands(Appion,BluVac,CPS) require any subscription. I like the meter, but won’t be using FlukeConnect . To bad too it seemed like a good idea.
Would have been nice if the owner manual would have mentioned it. I read it 3 times before I pulled the trigger on the purchase.

Should have read the fine print

You just can’t beat Fluke product’s.
Going wireless would be great for Saftey during startups.
Not happy with over $200 bucks a year for the subscription to use the wireless is total BS!
Luckily the meter works flawlessly but FlukeConnect needs so much improvement.

Complicated to set up first time

I download FlukeConnect and after open it, I must create an acount, then I sign up, later I got mesaage I need a suscription to connect my phone to the device FLUKE 3540 FC , so nothing works.
Later over PC, I activate one year licence. After activating the device, but then still not working my app, I could not connect or link the measurement with my account every time I got the message you need suscription! I delete FlukeConnect reinstall it but the same message. After I try with other mobile same ios iphone x and works my account works !, means first step should be set up an account over PC and after that, download and use FlukeConnect, in oposite way probably will not work like on my phone.

Works well but room for improvement

App worked ok. I was able to do what I wanted to do, a lot of hassle. When doing reports you can not save things like company info or logo. I cannot access this from my computer and make a report. Way easier to do on a computer then a tablet. The recordings in the table of Content have some strange file name, that should be editable so it makes sense to people reading the report. Should be able to save report or a cloud service or print direct from the tablet.

App needs some love

I’m able to do what I intended: log temperature over a period of time. However, FlukeConnect has a few flaws and is overall not super pleasant to use. 1) FlukeConnect should NOT require an account to access the basic features; 2) FlukeConnect keeps losing the connection to my t3000 and I have to force close FlukeConnect and reopen to get the connection back; 3) Any time I re-enter FlukeConnect after quitting (which happens often due to #2) it gives me the intro tutorial screens, which is super annoying.

Overall, I’m thankful that there’s an app at all but since it was a huge selling point, I’m a bit disappointed.

Great idea poor execution.

The whole idea behind FlukeConnect is great, but it has some major flaws. I want to record a vacuum pressure over an extended amount of time (at least 24 hours to a few days). FlukeConnect will not allow me to do this, even if I would choose to surrender my phone for that time, since the phone will not allow FlukeConnect to stay open, and logs itself out. The connection get lost, and nothing records. The whole purpose is that I do not have to babysit and monitor this process.
I actually would like to use a laptop, but found very little support for it. C’mon Fluke, I know you can do better than this.

Works well but...

Overall I like FlukeConnect and the products that go with it. I would love to see an Apple Watch companion app in order to increase the range for remote monitoring. I have sent a couple of emails to the technical support contact in FlukeConnect about this and haven’t received any response at all.

Much improved, works great

I tried FlukeConnect a few years ago and was not pleased with it, but they have made some good improvements and now it works very well for my needs.
