🏷️ About:
Rave Guardian is the best way to improve your personal safety by leveraging those you trust to be your own private safety network. Rave Guardian provides rapid and proactive communication with your organization.
RaveGuardian is useless. It keeps going back to the sign-up screen even after it confirms my info and logs me in. So if there’s danger RaveGuardian isn’t going to save anyone. And there is no place to get developer help. Whatever my school paid for this service is too much. I do not recommend.
Disappointed

Daughter was told by her university to download RaveGuardian but it claims her email is invalid though it is not. Also, the “submit tip” button does not appear on her screen like the administrators say it should and she cannot access her “my account”. Suggestions?
Rave discriminates against students who attend multiple universities
2022-07-30
by KCNurses
I attend classes in a partnership program between two different colleges with two different campuses. RaveGuardian will not allow the addition of more than one email address; therefore, no more than one campus can be available in RaveGuardian . It can not be changed. So I have to choose with which campus I want to use the Guardian app. When contacting Rave, they said RaveGuardian is working as intended. Universities need to stop contracting with this company until they offer equal safety to all students who attend. Extremely poor development foresight.
Stuck in loop
2022-08-31
by Zmqr9843
Continuous loop asking for location services and the only way to stop it is to turn off the phone completely. Then quickly close app once the phone is on again. It should give warning or allow user the option to cancel request without getting the phone stuck in an endless loop. You cannot do anything while it’s constantly blinking asking you to turn on location services. Good thing I did not have an emergency at the time!
All of the data, photos, emergency contacts, etc. I had entered were lost in “upgrade” to version 2.0 (June 2018). Functionality lost, such as timer, photo upload, etc. Am I missing something? Is there some way to recover everything I had entered in previous version?
Update uses too much battery
2022-11-02
by Me 1214
I’ve had RaveGuardian for several months with no issues. After the last update, I would go through over half my battery while at work on the campus that RaveGuardian is for! Deleted RaveGuardian and voila - no more draining battery. Also didn’t really find that I used RaveGuardian at all. I can get notifications through my work.
New version lacks crucial safety function
2022-12-04
by Kaylammm
With the 2.0 update, the timer and automatic notifications function was removed (plausibly for improvement in the next version). While I understand this is a relatively new app, this is unacceptable especially without notice to users and in the summer when there are less people around and crime tends to increase.....
So far has managed only to drain my battery

Installed at my employer’s urging, turned on location as RaveGuardian indicates it needs in order to function properly, proceeded to relentlessly run down my battery over two days.
App drains too much battery
2023-02-05
by Jfkdyrugeeidugkdltivyrlg
I checked my battery usage in setting, and it is using up over 90% of my battery. I haven’t even opened RaveGuardian in the past 3 days or so.
My college is using RaveGuardian to send us alerts for anything, so I can’t exactly delete RaveGuardian right now.
Folks who use this frequently, like for late night outings, might not have this issue, but for those of us using RaveGuardian to contact University law enforcement, in the moment of a crisis, either will not be able to enter or will forget the complex password you require.
In an emergency, rapid contact is key. Even folks who remember their own will be fumbling through the key pad in a stressful time. The "phone call" app is faster.
Put an emergency call button on the screen - pre-login. Let the dispatchers authenticate while having the other resources RaveGuardian provides. Otherwise, in an emergency, I will opt to place a phone call.

I don’t know if it’s just me or not, but I can’t see the “location” settings on my phone for RAVE Guardian. I’ve searched for Guardian and Locations in the settings. I don’t see Guardian in the settings for “location” or “turn on location” in Guardian.
I have an iPhone XR, it’s only twoish years old.
Edit: NEVER MIND! I FIGURED IT OUT!
Help

My work uses this but since I got RaveGuardian I have not been able to get any messages. My employer said my app Home Screen would be green. It’s blue and I see no notifications on RaveGuardian
Missing the text/photo option?

This is an app that pur campus security highly recommends, especially in the case of us being alone. One thing though, is that in all of their presentations, they talk about the feature of texting in anonymous messages or sending in pictures to aid in their searches. My app doesn’t have either of these functions and I’m not sure why. Any help on this will be appreciated.
Can't delete of an old inbox notification

RaveGuardian keeps showing that I have a new, unread message
I haven’t had to actively use RaveGuardian yet, but I am happy it exists. However, my one complaint is that is uses so much battery. My battery has been dying super quick ever since I downloaded it, and according to my battery reports, it had the second highest percentage of battery usage at 13%, without me even opening RaveGuardian . If possible, I’d appreciate an update that allows RaveGuardian to use less battery life. After all, no matter how useful an app is, a dead phone is not a useful phone.

Buggy. They don’t accept bug reports either. Just use 911 or call your university policy directly.
Rave Guardian- a MUST HAVE app!

This is a fantastic app to stay updated on current campus and city affairs. It’s intuitive and well thought out. I feel safer just having it on my phone. Definitely a FIVE STAR app!
Update - now does not work

by I Hate Forced Usernames
With the update RaveGuardian won’t open on my iPhone 12 with updated software. I tried to contact RaveGuardian developer via Apple App Store but it takes me to a website that does not work.
Prior to update I enjoyed the peace of mind RaveGuardian provided to me.
I am an officer on a campus and we always tell our students and staff to download RaveGuardian! It helps us when they use it as well as helps them to feel safer on campus and in everyday life!
