Summary of Kevo Problems 🔥

- Too many notifications.

- Scheduled keys and guest keys never work.

- Lock takes a while to lock and unlock.

- No “check for update” button within the app.

- Rarely works when trying to lock or unlock the lock by touching the lock.

- Kevo app takes too long to recognize the lock.

This is a horrible app. The door unlocks less than 10% of the time. After reinstalling it, and taking the lock apart again to "reset" it, it is even less reliable with android phone. You have to unlock your phone, navigate to the app, turn it on, select your user ID and then wait a few minutes. After all this, it "might" work. Kwikset has a real piece of junk here, and they have done exactly nothing to fix it. Don't buy this product!!

How to fix Kevo app crashes or not working on Iphone (iOS):

Close and restart the Kevo app on iPhone
Update Kevo app to the Latest Version for iOS
Uninstall and reinstall Kevo iPhone app
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

Fix Kevo on iPhone unable to connect to server/internet connection issues::

To resolve Kevo network issues, Reset phone network settings:
1. On iphone, goto Settings » General » Reset » Reset Network Settings.
2. Enter device passcode » confirm [Reset Network Settings].

Turn off iphone VPN:
1. Goto Settings » General » VPN

Kevo Android App Issues and Solutions

Fix Kevo not working on Android, crashes, errors or is unresponsive:

Force Stop the Kevo App
1. On android, goto Settings » Kevo » click [Force Stop]

Update Kevo to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear Kevo App Cache and Data:
1. On android, goto Settings » Apps » Kevo » Storage » click [Clear Data] option. This clears both data and cache.
2. restart Kevo.

Fix Kevo unable to contact server/ Kevo internet connection errors on Android:

On android, goto Settings » Apps or Manage Apps tab.
Click Kevo » [Force Stop]
Next, goto Storage » click [Clear Data]
Again, goto Kevo » Mobile Data » [Allow Background Data Usage].
Go back to Settings » Connections » Mobile Network » Network Mode. Change the network to 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
