I just downloaded InstantWebcam and am very impressed with the minimalist nature of InstantWebcam and the good video quality and minimal latency. Low latency is very important for my "camera backup" application where InstantWebcam runs on an iPhone looking out the back window of my Airstream trailer that is connected, via a local network, to an iPad running safari in the truck cab.

I couldn't see a way to contact with you directly, so I am using this review to also make a feature request. It would be awesome if I could flip the image horizontally so that I see a mirrored view in the browser. That way the camera image would be consistent with the other images I already have in my truck mirrors. Thanks, Paul

I had a babysitter emergency & needed to keep an eye on my kids while on a work call in our detached garage home office. I searched around & this seemed like the thing I needed. Here's how easy it is: you download InstantWebcam . You open it, which is a camera view. A URL pops up, you type it into your bowser. BOOM, streaming video. For 3 hours it never cut out or paused, just continuous, free live stream. I never review apps but this one is amazing. There are other bells & whistles (record etc) & I muted the sound so I cant speak to sound quality, but it was perfect for my needs.

Wow. This is one of the best $1 purchases I've ever made. For $1, you get a "wifi" (not cell data) app that sends the iDevice camera feed to ANY PC/Mac/Tablet browser WITH audio on the same network as you.

This makes for a top notch, crazy-simple baby monitor, or whatever you want to view.

Anywhere you can get electricity, you could put an old iPhone or iPod in a ziplock bag/watertight container with the charger and get a stable, consistent video feed.

So if InstantWebcam works for you, congratulations. I’m sure it’s awesome. After installing InstantWebcam - you know, the one that just works - I opened InstantWebcam to a message of “No WiFi Connection”, which is curious since I was clearly connected to WiFi. InstantWebcam that “requires no setup” is so confident of that that there is no Settings, no Help, no FAQ - no way to resolve the issue. Yes, I tried a different WiFi network. I was even going to download it to my iPad, except that an apparently identical version is “iPad only” and for that they want another $1.99. Pass. Fool me once...

Would like my $1.99 and 2 hours of attempted troubleshooting back. Will settle for the $1.99.

InstantWebcam is great it works flawlessly and smooth 30 FPS at 1080p, however a few days after downloading InstantWebcam I received an email with an AppStore receipt saying InstantWebcam costed $2.00 and billed me for it without warning me. I’m not really complaining because it works perfectly but they didn’t warn me about the late bill. Even though it was unexpected I still think it is a great app.

InstantWebcam is easy to use and I was pretty satisfied until my IOS device turned its screen off - connection lost. You have to restart InstantWebcam . Come on let's fix this bug.

InstantWebcam actually works!! And you don't have to download any programs on your computer, just open a web browser. It is awesome! Definitely worth the $1.99 I paid for it, wish I would've found InstantWebcam sooner.

InstantWebcam worked exactly how it was meant to. I experimented (and failed) with a number of other apps before finding this one. It was simple to use and worked flawlessly. Nice job!

Could not be happier with the results. Very low latency to the video stream, no drivers to install, video gets cast to your desktop browser window with the IP provided.

InstantWebcam works great and does what it claims. It’s pretty intuitive as well.

I’m not sure what the other review claims, but InstantWebcam was free and there are no in app purchases; it’s the best nothing I’ve ever (not) spent.

This is great, was even able to connect to the stream with a Google Glass 😱. Love it

Love InstantWebcam. It truly does require no setup. Would love and pay for additional features such as remote control.

InstantWebcam is very minimal and easy. Just works. Very neat, and I'll try to push it with multiple connections and see what happens, then I'll update my review.

Unable to swipe ip to get app switcher or home screen. Not anle to pick up wifi signal even though clearly connected. Needs a major overhaul since new apple devices have been released and to support newer iOS.

As the title says.
InstantWebcam does what it says and easily, no setup at all.
Launch App, open browser, you are done.

I would love an auto focus lock feature.

when turned sideways - landscape mode - a green bar appears at the bottom of the screen. sideways with camera upper corner. if camera sideways in lower corner then no green bar. please fix.

and more options for zooming out - i want smaller settings!

InstantWebcam is awesome and comes in handy quite frequently. It’s surprisingly robust too. Thanks so much for making it free!

It worked for a day but now I keep getting 'no wifi connection' error making InstantWebcam useless. I've restarted my phone and reinstalled InstantWebcam but no improvement.

My iPhone 11 is connected to WiFi, but InstantWebcam doesn’t think so. There are no settings to fiddle with. Issue persists with restart, and clean restore. Same thing in my iPad Pro and 5S. Want to give it 0 star rating, but that isn’t allowed either.

I purchased InstantWebcam and also put it on another iPhone. The url provided takes me nowhere using Safari. No connection from phone to phone. Worthless.

Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't pickup the wifi signal— rendering it useless.

There are no settings to check, no instructions... so when it doesn't work, you're more or less stuck.

I need a simple fix to cast my phone's video to my desktop for livestreaming, and this isn't reliable enough to use on a regular basis.
