MacroPoint For Truckers Reviews

I've a complaint that may pertain to a few locations or 1. There's a shipper (water near Sara/ Reno Rd) in Oklahoma that uses this and it sits between or near Yukon & Oklahoma City. The issue is the distance it AUTO tracks updates arrival and departure. One can go a mile or more near shipper and it'll show arrived and or departed even if you're not going to shipper because it's not time. Also the signal (because of AUTO) bounces between Yukon and Okc cell towers which causes AUTO issues. And the bad part is the "tracking" teams who can't change this to manual inputs will get excited / worried and use their screens to electronically harass a driver/ dispatcher. They'll call or text excessively even tho this tracking system is said to reduce contact. So no matter when you arrive on time or depart, the "system" has auto stated something that isn't always the case.

Going to be honest with you here. MacroPointForTruckers works as advertised but I seriously do not like having to download MacroPointForTruckers onto my personal device in order to complete a load. Every time I have a load that requires me to use MacroPointForTruckers I only download it when I am actively delivering the load and immediately delete MacroPointForTruckers afterwards. I feel it is incredibly invasive to have MacroPointForTruckers on my PERSONAL device. What information does MacroPointForTruckers have privileges to? My phone contains private data that MacroPointForTruckers is not clear on whether or not it has access to (financial records, personal pictures/videos, contacts, call/text records, etc.) There should be an opt out option available but apparently I’ll be fined if I don’t download this invasive application on my phone. I am a company driver, my job does not pay my cell phone bill. This is not a “work” phone device. I’m honestly questioning the legality of such a system.

As a carrier I am providing overall review of MacroPointForTruckers for multiple trucks we use this with. Very unreliable. Works flawlessly maybe 1 in every 4 times we set it up to track. Those aren’t good numbers. Often we are having drivers reset their phones and MacroPointForTruckers or reinstall MacroPointForTruckers all together. It sometimes will not integrate with Our customers system to provide them updates. Their customer service is very poor and either doesn’t respond to an issue or takes days to respond and then provides no real solution or fix. They seem to only be interested in charging carriers a monthly service fee for a service that is 25% reliable at best. Frankly I’m surprised they are still in business.

As a driver, MacroPointForTruckers is neutral. It's potential is better than it works. I must switch between 3-4 apps just to manage my time and workflow. This is onerous for one who should be concentrating on the surroundings.

I don't like that your active load has to refresh every time I switch between this and other apps, necessitating attention and screen clicks. Another pain is that there is no simple way to release a load if it is no longer my responsibility to service. That has to be done with inconvenient phone calls.

After you guys updated it and changed it, it no longer works like it used to. Now I get multiple text messages saying I have to share my location even after I’ve already done that! On one load I received 11 text messages over the course of two days saying I needed to share my location even though it showed I was all set! One driver was even docked pay from the broker because he didn’t share his location even though he did and MacroPointForTruckers said he was all set! Also why is it draining my battery so fast!!? Get it together people!!! Fix your damned app!

Less check calls from brokers . Some brokerage firms . Still haven’t got onboard with MacroPoint. . And they still call , and after you do tell broker your current location.. they don’t make a memo ., and another assistant/ broker will call you 5 min later .

Sirs: I was told I needed to get and install MacroPoint for a load I was going to haul. So I did. It apparently worked as advertised. Then I wanted to shut off the continuous tracking. No can do. So I deleted MacroPointForTruckers . Where I am is nobody’s business unless I have their load in my trailer, and then it’s where their load is located. I used to get robo and other miscellaneous calls before limiting outside access to my accounts and numbers. Please respect my privacy and remove the continuous tracking requirement from your app, or at least let us option out.

Really tracking apps are useless driver downloads MacroPointForTruckers what’s being tracked is the drivers location not the load actually, if driver goes to bathroom he’s not with the truck, if driver parks the truck and goes to visit family and truck is at truck stop what is MacroPointForTruckers tracking only driver location not the trailer we’re the load is actually located hopefully with the power unit, also brokers still call driver irritating them because MacroPointForTruckers lags so brokers will call still asking drivers location ask me how I know...

I’m at Minneapolis and will leave around 6pm it was about 90 miles away so I want to open and starting my hours to the closing time thanks I will pick up this load don’t worry about!

I’ve used MacroPointForTruckers before, and it just jammed me up and froze. This time, no problems. Very pleased... keep up the good work team, we re all in this together to get the job done..

This is the worst site when comes to sharing your information with other people. They share with other brokers your company information and locations. You get junk emails about loads everyday. There is no place to opt out and no one ever contacts you back. This is a scam and should be banned. Apple needs to remove MacroPointForTruckers because of privacy violations. What a joke and garbage company.

Good application, finally works with iPhone XS. However, you need to do something with current version. It keeps crashing every time when you try to look at active load details or view location history, something is messed up there.

There’s no reason MacroPointForTruckers should only work when the location access is set to always. It should work when the location access is set to “only when in use”. I do not use MacroPointForTruckers for every load, and it does not need my location when I am not under a load requiring it; it is an invasion of privacy and drains my battery. Fix this feature and I’ll consider editing to a more favorable review.

MacroPointForTruckers can not stay open for more that one minute before in crashes. U are never able to see ur history or check address using MacroPointForTruckers cause in crashes in a matter of seconds after you open in. They need to fix what even is cause That. Is there any fix to this I tried opening the section that allows u to upload a pod and it crash before I can even make a selection

I use grasshopper as my business cell number. Loads don’t show up and don’t have a way to edit number it pulls info from.
Calling them is an auto response with no option to talk to someone.
Submitted feedback within app. Shows blank white space as typing so can’t see what’s being typed or if it’s saving info being sent.

I really hate when customers ask me to use MacroPointForTruckers. I have tried multiple times to delete and redownload MacroPointForTruckers , different iPads and even on my iPhone. All results are failures and usually get “Error 502: Bad Gateway” when it does do something other than just sit there. And that’s with the “Invade my privacy” setting set to always allow instead of a reasonable only when in use.

It was fine until Brokers stopped using MacroPointForTruckers. There I was all set to use MacroPointForTruckers, I was talking with the CH Robinson person and she told me that they were not using MacroPointForTruckers anymore. Something about Drivers App, I am not familiar with the new one that they are using.

Every trucking company known to man has gps on their trucks. So why im forced to download this stupid app which runs in the background draining my battery by every broker is beyond me. All because a broker is too lazy to pick up the phone, and just simply ask the company where you’re at. Good grief, as if brokers weren’t annoying enough already. Oh FYI, they still call you non stop anyways 🤦🏻‍♂️.

Once it is downloaded a broker need only shoot me a text. The text integrates with MacroPoint immediately allowing them to track me at all times. When I arrive and empty or load a trailer I just push a button. All liability is on the driver. State and federal laws against texting and driving apply. Even if I do not have MacroPointForTruckers MacroPoint can still track my phone via cell towers.

Great app but it drains my phone battery too quickly, lose about 20% every 30-45 mins on new iPhone 7 Plus with iOS 10.2.1 MacroPointForTruckers needs to be updated before I will download it again. They cannot track you by text message, only by using MacroPointForTruckers .

I have had to download MacroPointForTruckers multiple times. It does not work properly 9 out of 10 times. It gets stuck on the sweepstakes and won’t show the load info. I am tired of this y’all need to fix it. It has been happening for about 8 months now. Do something or tell the brokers it doesn’t work so they will use something that does!!!

This is really useless not good at all have been on several broker loads that wanted me to have MacroPointForTruckers on my phone it only displays the brokers name and load number does not look like anything of the pictures and description of MacroPointForTruckers unlike my other app CarrierLink has everything displayed and all information needed so what is wrong with micro point app

Broker keep calling and asking me to set it on. I had accept to receive tracking, but seems it doesn’t work. Doesn’t help to build trust in our business.
On second hand. I can’t know who can keep on track on me after accepting lots of requests. I want to be able see all info. You guys need to fix it.

Previously I could have it set to track only when using MacroPointForTruckers so I could open it a few times a day and update my location, now MacroPointForTruckers forces you to “always allow” which kills my battery. I would delete MacroPointForTruckers completely if I could. Only DL if you have no choice

I keep trying MacroPointForTruckers but it just functions poorly. Apparently the only way it wants to run is always allow for location. That eats your battery. Then when I run trucker path or the travel America app they will not function while this MacroPoint is running. So thanks but no thanks I am done with MacroPointForTruckers.

I hate this #1 kills battery #2 tracks every move you make if brokers that worried call my dispatch the eld with gps can tell them what's going on and # 3 if I drop load and another driver takes it to the receiver it's still tracking me no way to clear out load info unless you complete it or delete it

Love MacroPointForTruckers but we need to be able to send an explanation text sometimes along with our arrival and departure times “very important “

Being tracked at all times is total BS! All pee need to do is call to verify. I refuse to use MacroPointForTruckers. Drivers need to start coming together as everyone is trying to get their hands on how we should do our job and always wanting to micro manage. I still get great loads without this garbage!

My only complaint is I don’t know if it is possible to delete history, or at least not have it show on my end.
