The Bulwark is simply excellent. Prioritizes democracy over partisanship. Some of the best political analysis you can find, ever expanding reporting capabilities, keeping their finger on the pulse of both politicians and voters. So rare to find that kind of depth and nuance. TheBulwark is great for organizing the content you most want to see. Follow your favorite contributors, podcasts, and newsletters. Ditch the algorithms. Separate tabs to access your favorite formats - reading, listening, watching. The interface is clean and smooth, and has dark mode! Very well-designed, not surprising coming from this top notch team. Hoping for apps on more platforms in the future - desktop? Roku?

Normally I prefer browser-based usage, but this new app gets the job done well. Podcasts available- videos of talking heads NOT forced on the user. Audio podcasts play in background! Of course one feature request - podcast downloading for offline listening.

The Bulwark does everything well and TheBulwark is smooth, easy to navigate and search for what you want, and for members is a must have. Grateful to have this to access all of their awesome content

Love the fact that there’s an app for one of my favorite news outlets! Easy to use and finding the links to the podcasts that I watch regularly is much easier than through Substack.

JVL, Sarah, Tim, and the rest of the gang have put together something really special here. If you have problems with how the current administration is running our country, you need to be a member of The Bulwark.

What a terrific development. I’m a huge fan of pretty much all Bulwark content — it’s become my go to for news, so to have an app with everything together is amazing. And not a janky app in the slightest — they even have audio /read aloud for the written content.

I’m really impressed how well designed TheBulwark is! Super easy to navigate between articles and videos. Also, articles now include a listening feature!

Now I don’t have to go substack/youtube/email to get my Bulwark content. It’s all in one place and presented really well. TheBulwark ’s functionality looks great - it’s clean and very easy to navigate. I hope in the next update they bring in forums/message boards or someway to have community. I have read and listened to The Bulwark since its inception. At first, it served as a counterbalance to more left-leaning media sources I read, listened to, or watched. But in the last few years, I’ve come to rely on The Bulwark for a particularly insightful perspective on events of the day, while also engaging with the thoughtful and respectful community of readers and listeners who provide feedback and share their own insights with each other and the Bulwark team—and they listen. As the Bulwark grows, adding more reporters and commentators, the content becomes richer, and discussions are ever more relevant and thought-provoking.

I’ve been a paying subscriber to The Bulwark ever since they began taking subscriptions. They are a great source of news and opinion, with the latter from a center-left to center-right perspective. Contributors such as Tim Miller, JVL, Sarah Longwell, Sam Stein, Will Sommer, and so many others make this one of, if not the best, political news and commentary site on the Web. Highly recommended.

I always enjoy reading, watching and listening to people from The Bulwark discuss the events of the day, but it’s been kind of a hassle to go between apps for them, and now there’s a single app that holds it all. Thanks, JVL and everyone who helped get this thing out the door and on to TheBulwark Store and Google Play Store.

I screamed when I read TheBulwark was released and my hands were shaking as I downloaded it fearing something would go wrong and it wouldn’t open. The Bulwark is EXCEPTIONAL among news sources and TheBulwark makes everything easy to find. So smart and insightful. I listen to many podcasts and read extensively and this is my hands down absolute favorite news source.

I try to get all my friends to read/watch/listen to The Bullwark. It is the best single source for real news and thoughtful analysis in all the interwebs, and my first stop to learn about and understand what the hell is happening. And now it’s easy, one-stop info.

Have been listening to The Bulwark and the Bulwark’s The Secret Podcast for several years now. Listening to Tim Miller, JVL, and Sarah Longwell hash out political happenings - and discussing same with experienced guests - each with their own knowledgeable, nuanced, heartfelt perspective - always brings me closer to understanding what the heck is going on and how I feel about it. They are thoroughly enjoyable. This country needs more of what they are doing. Thank you for being there!

I’ve been a Bulwark reader since almost Day 1. This is a terrific organization and now a great app that provides well-researched, well-reasoned insights into the matters of the day. Most of it is politics (and also unfortunately therefore culture these days), but even the movie/entertainment content of Sonny Bunch is worth your time! Download it. Subscribe. Learn. Breathe out knowing that you are not the crazy one and there are millions of others like you out here.

I’ve suffered through Substack’s broken app for a while because I owe it to the people working hard at The Bulwark to produce the best political content out there.

No more! Now, because of TheBulwark , I can quickly find the articles I want to read, watch the vids, etc. without getting lost in Substack’s nonsensical and frustrating design.

Plaudits to the devs that put this together, and kudos to everyone at The Bulwark for the important work you do.

These are smart people, with longtime, inside-baseball knowledge of DC power dynamics, campaigning, foreign policy, voter trends, and the evolution of the GOP into the party of Trump. Collectively, they’re a vital pro-democracy voice tackling hugely important topics with intelligence, integrity, and flair. If podcasts or quick-hit videos are your jam, you’re in for a treat. (Though I myself rely even more on the excellent newsletters for my daily dose of insight.) Remember: JVL is always right. Except when Sarah Longwell is. Bonus points if you check out Sonny Bunch’s simply terrific entertainment coverage!
