I really liked the IDEA of RetroWeatherTV so I got it and for the first 2 days it worked, so I decided to get the Pro version, after that, for whatever reason, it doesn’t work AT ALL. RetroWeatherTV is already frozen the literal second you open it. I gave it a few days to see if it was a glitch or needed an update. Got 2 updates and still awful. I guess don’t buy RetroWeatherTV if you want it to work.

I truly want to like RetroWeatherTV but in its current state, it’s just not reliable for checking the weather. I mostly check the widget for quick info and then open RetroWeatherTV for more detail on upcoming forecasts but as of now, I experience freezing and incorrect locations nearly 90% of the time I try to use it. I’m keeping my subscription for the time being in the hopes that the funds for this solo developer help to make RetroWeatherTV what I hope it can be. Love the idea and will look forward to a time where it functions more than as a fun trip down memory lane.

I love this concept, but ever since actually paying money to subscribe to RetroWeatherTV, it is unusable. RetroWeatherTV freezes and does nothing but play soft jazz, no weather data display at all. Closing and restarting does nothing. Devs, please fix this stuff because I want to use your app!!!

I loved this, so I upgraded to pro. After that my phone became very hot. I couldn’t close RetroWeatherTV . Couldn’t turn off my phone. It took multiple attempts. Talking to Siri, taking screenshots, and trying to do anything to force another app to take over. After draining about half of my battery I finally could hold the lock button and volume down, and restart my phone. I opened RetroWeatherTV and the same thing happened. So I deleted it and cancelled the subscription.

since upgrading to Pro, i’ve had multiple crashes that require force closing but still persist after RetroWeatherTV reopens. not quite the replacement for my regular weather app yet

things like setting multiple cities broke it for me pretty consistently to the point where i just stopped trying

i really like the vibe of RetroWeatherTV and the base song that comes with RetroWeatherTV is a bop. let’s iron those things so it can be as great as it should be

I love RetroWeatherTV and have always wanted something exactly like this. Unfortunately it’s constantly freezing, crashing, or sitting with a “weather outdated” message. I even bought the one time price version but am disappointed RetroWeatherTV barely works after a reinstall, update, and using different networks

I adore the concept and the layout, but I’ve encountered numerous, repeated issues with connectivity, and more troubling, after paying to upgrade, when I rotate the phone for the alternate lay, RetroWeatherTV locks up. Hoping that updates correct these issues.

Has the design scheme and aesthetics I was hoping it’d have. Only improvement is needs is having few more songs

This is a wonderful weather app! It has been my go to upon hearing about it! Love it!!!

I shall only use this as my chosen weather spot on my phone, and I shall not use the stock Weather app Furthermore!!!

Love RetroWeatherTV love how the set up is better than other weather apps just having one small issue that I wish I can have figured out, but I seem to can’t figure out it keeps telling me that my data is outdated and sometimes doesn’t work, but sometimes it does and I don’t have this issue

Awesome. I hope they add a widget option for your Home Screen or lock screen at some point. Otherwise I love putting this on my tv while I clean or have guests over.

Very nice app! Chock full of great weather information, and of course that beautiful retro design we all remember and love from our days checking into the hotel on a roadtrip, turning on the TV, and heading right for TWC!

Best weather app on the market. Not only is everything you usually need on the first page of RetroWeatherTV , but the theme adds a little free joy every time you check. Solid, 11/10 app.

This is the best weather app I’ve ever used. Born in ‘88 and a child who would keep the weather channel on in the background while on the computer gaming. I absolutely love RetroWeatherTV thank you for making it. Please never stop.
