Won’t search

It doesn’t seem to provide a location given a complete street address

I wish it was good

I like the idea and applaud the attempt, but it falls very short. This is not ready for prime time. I entered the entirety of my office address, and it didn’t find it. There is a N in front of the street name for “North”. It understood north, and gave me all sorts of street names except the one I literally typed in. My office building was built in 2012.

I searched for my mother’s street name 800 miles away. Again using the entire address. It suggested the same street in my state instead.

Due to this, it’s good features don’t matter because I can’t use them.

Hoping it gets better

Thought I could use it as a GPS… nope. I can use it as no more than a map of one place at a time. Not very useful for navigation… or else, not very intuitive. Google maps is much easier to use

Its getting there

I currently use Maps.Me for offline maps so I am familiar with this type of map tool. People have to understand that this is not Google Maps where you can find everything but I am used to that, you can still locate something and mark it for your use in this tool. The primary pain point I have found so far is an inability to order Lists alphabetically, you can order items in a List but not Lists by name.

So far - Excellent

I’m a stickler for privacy, so I was thrilled when I saw this reviewed by ZDNet. It’s great to see such richly detailed maps with an app where I really am the customer and not the product. I am very impressed with the detail this app provides with trails as well. Better than some trail map apps I have. One request: an option to show elevations in feet. I’ve had it map multi-state driving directions and it is spot on. Very nice app.

Great app, highly recommend

CoMaps has a clean interface, and an outstanding philosophy of transparency and community. I’m contributing on the team, it’s an amazing group of volunteers. New functionality is being released and I’m looking forward to what’s next.

Clean and intuitive

Easy to use map app that uses OSM data. Would like to see amenity search categories “parks” added. Since search for parks also brings up anything with the word “park” in the name. Also possibly add the amenity category for “trails”.

Great!

It’s great! Looks good. Works well. Also deserves support for being open source and privacy focused.

Two suggestions:

1. Ability to use voice commands to request directions with Apple CarPlay.

2. Ability to see small map window in multi-window display in Apple CarPlay.

Keep up the great work!

i love it

it’s good actually have many things, it will be better.
i hope remain free for us 😂🤍👌
