First off let me say the book that first got me to check out RedChapters is awesome! Sadly I couldn’t find it available anywhere but RedChapters so I decided to check it out. Second the amount of credits or whatever you want to call is to unlock chapters is to dang high and I said screw it I purchased what would of been more then enough to be able to finish the book, shocker it wasn’t!! I could have bought a paperback cheaper. Third if you accidentally go back to a previous chapter it charges you credits again!! Lastly if you use your tokens/credits to unlock chapters why in the world do you still have to watch an annoyingly long ad every other chapter??!! The “ad breaks” are longer than the ads you watch to earn fee tokens/credits whatever they are called. Having amazing authors/books may get people to try out your app but RedChapters itself is what will keep people engaged!

Anyone who gave RedChapters 3 or more stars is a bot. I have several reading apps and this one is the worse. I should not have to watch 14 ads to unlock one chapter followed by watching 15 ads for the next chapter and so on. Who in their right mind came up with this? Did the developer watch 50+ ads to unlock 1 chapter for 100+ chapter book? I doubt it.

After I have read this one and only book I will be deleting RedChapters. I have to watch 10 adds every 4 pages. And the 8 hour timer resets after I watch the ten adds. Oh you can get around it by buying coins at a ridiculous rate.

Ads galore! Just for kicks I thought I would see how many ads it would make me watch for a single chapter—15! Each time I opened a chapter, one more ad would required to the previous number in order for me to read the chapter. Then I go to sleep and the chapter I stopped on the night before (chapter 20), RedChapters took 30 coins from me for opening RedChapters to chapter 20 (which I already read) and took another 30 coins for opening chapter 21. I read chapter 21 and wow! RedChapters wants me to watch 16 ads just to get to chapter 22. DO NOT waste your time, energy, or money on RedChapters. I have already wasted my time on it for you.

You have to either wait eight hours or watch ads to unlock chapters. I currently have to watch 15 minutes of ads to read a six page chapter. I realize I can pay to unlock them, but it would honestly make me even more mad to pay to unlock a chapter & only have it be six pages long. My other issue is that when you go back into RedChapters , it doesn’t save your place in the story & you have to scroll through 3 or 4 chapters to get back to where you were & it has random “ad breaks” & you have to watch ads just to get back ti where you were.

After I finish reading the first book I have started I will be deleting RedChapters. The amount of ads I have to watch to open one chapter is 40, and it increases each time. If I don’t watch ads, there is 8 hours between chapters and I cannot continue to enjoy reading that way. I realize this is their ploy to get us to spend money but I would rather purchase the actual book than spend money on a book I cannot keep. As it is, it will take a long time for me to finish this book. Very frustrating.

Story is ok but it’s a money grab. Whether it’s from your pocket or of your time to watch ads. 2 pages of reading will cost you 20 minutes of adds or 8 hours of waiting.

Up to 16 ads now just for a short chapter. Coins are too expensive. The cost for an entire novel would be more than a new hardback.

Every chapter requires more ads. Currently up to 18 just to read 1 short chapter. Absolutely ridiculous!!!

I was really interested in one of the ads books… but RedChapters is horrible! By the time you really get into it, it makes you watch an extra ad to open each subsequent chapter. I’m now spending 30 minutes watching ads and only getting to read 5 minutes or less! This AP is ridiculous

The stories are great and keep you excited to read the next chapter. But, you need lotsa dough to read an entire book. For each chapter completed, you have to take an Ad Break but you get 2 coins. Unfortunately, you need 30 coins to read each chapter. You can buy bundles of coins or watch an ad for 1 coin per ad. It is too rich for me. I’m done.

I love that I don’t have to buy coins I can watch ads or wait a couple hours for the chapter to unlock!

Easy to read and the books I’ve read thus far are good. I like the large covers.
