Can’t get past sign up page

I’m trying to sign up for Dollarwise but it keeps saying to verify through a code sent to email but the email is not being sent to me. I’ve also checked spam. Unable to sign up.

Too Many Glitches, Don’t Install Right Now

Downloaded Dollarwise and from the get go Dollarwise is far from usable. It can setup your budgets well (mostly), but not showing your accounts you’ve linked. I’ve tried linking my accounts multiple times but Dollarwise will not display them at all, plus you have to link them at least twice everytime you try. Not really sure I would trust an app that can’t securely connect to my accounts, especially with a subscription that expensive.

Also, if you close Dollarwise and go back in or log out and log back in it won’t display everything anymore. I’ll probably keep using Rocket Money until Dollarwise gets better, which hopefully it does.

Doesn’t work

Hello can you programmers test your stuff and make it work? Asks for an email but never get any email to get a code. Then when going back it freezes up and can’t do much of anything. It’s called test and make sure your app works in Java.

Needs work, annoying to use

I used the Fizz card and find it incredibly annoying I can’t add my purchase history to this budget considering it’s always recommended to guests. I keep trying to edit transactions that the budget has missed labeled and it won’t save so now half my grocery and gas (from the fizz card) is saved under “drinks and dinning out” which is incredibly unhelpful when it’s not even apart of my budget so it won’t actually show up under my budget.

If you want to charge $15 a month for a BUDGET APP then make sure it can actually be useful

Won't email verification code

Can't get past the initial screen. Says it will email me a 6 digit verification code. No code in any folder. Tried multiple times.

Extremely hypocritical

Gotta love the hypocrisy of preaching living on a budget and charging $15 a month to do just that. Y’all should be ashamed.

Copilot Money is better

I like Caleb Hammer and his videos but I have to say that Copilot Money is better that Dollarwise in every way. It’s also cheaper.

Not free :(

I love Financial Audit so I wanted to try Dollarwise. I am very disappointed that to add a credit card or bank account, you have to pay for a subscription. I was really hoping for a free version since he mentioned it in his video.

Overpriced Product with few features

Being created by someone who’s goal is to help people better their finances, creating a budgeting app that’s at minimum $150 a year is outrageous. Dollarwise has some bugs, primarily around account creation. I had to force close Dollarwise and reopen to get the account created. Dollarwise has a very basic budget creation and that’s fine, it’s in the name. The issue is that is all this is. It has transactions and your budget. No reports, charts, recurring bills, calendar, cash flow, net worth tracking etc. Now I understand it’s labeled as a simpler budget, so maybe the more in depth features are not supposed to be here, but the problem I have is you can get budgeting apps with all these extra features for 33% less than Dollarwise charges yearly. Clearly priced to cash grab the financial audit audience. If you care about your audience, halve the price. You’re promoting to the people who need the most help, not taken advantage of.

Subscription really

I love the financial audit and I was very excited to see that you guys made a app but making us have to pay is lowkey ridiculous guess have to fit it in my budget somehow

Needs work

The plaid linking has deleted both of my accounts from Dollarwise and the overall experience is currently buggy. I look forward to adding some stars to this rating once the kinks get worked out.

Disappointing

I want to love this because Caleb’s YouTube channel is really entertaining and has gotten me on a better mindset for finances, but this seems to require a subscription and it’s confusing with how it’s worded.

Is there a way to add income without linking to a bank account? It seems to suggest that, but then you go to add monthly expenses under “Budget”, and it adds it as income. It doesn’t make any sense. When I try to make a custom category as “Income”, it says that already exists but there is no category that says Income.

Dollarwise requires a subscription to link your account but I’m not really feeling like this is worth $15 per month when there are free alternatives that have existed for longer and aren’t as confusing.

I’m kind of surprised since this is something Caleb would likely not include in someone’s budget at this price point. The most recent episode had a girl who was -$2 after setting up everything, so how could she afford this on top of everything else on a monthly basis? Seems a bit hypocritical.

I know he wants to make more money and this is a good idea for viewers like me getting into this groove, but $15 per month is not it for what this does. And the wording needs to be made more clear so people understand what this does.

Setup and pricing made me uninstall

I know Dollarwise just launched, and I’m sure the bugs will be fixed over time, but my first impression wasn’t great.

Following Caleb’s QR code from his YouTube video took me to his website instead of Dollarwise Store. That’s fine, but when I clicked the install button on the webpage it just scrolled me lower on the page instead of redirecting me to Dollarwise Store. I had to find the link in the hamburger menu to get there.

Signup was another frustration. After setting my password and clicking complete, I got a loading wheel but no confirmation that it saved or registration was complete. I retried multiple times with shorter passwords before finally closing and reopening Dollarwise . That’s when I realized it saved the last password I entered.

Beyond setup, Dollarwise works fine (no lag or crashes) but nothing about it stands out. Given the premium pricing, I expected unique features or a better experience, but it doesn’t offer anything special compared to other budget apps.

And the pricing is steep. At $15/month, $40/quarter, or $150/year, this is the most expensive budgeting app I’ve seen. There’s a free version, but paying $12.50 to $15 per month feels excessive when other apps provide similar tools for less.

Unless major improvements or standout features are added, I personally can’t justify the cost.

Great UI, missing some features

An early note, it would be nice to add a rule for transactions to be automatically categorized under a certain category. For example, always putting walmart under groceries instead of shopping.

Best budgeting app out there

Really enjoying the ease of use! Straight forward and clean

Simple Dashboard

Very simple dashboard to view all my accounts and track where my money is going. Much better than a spreadsheet!

Clear and efficient

I’ve gone through multiple budgeting apps and this is the one that stuck. Am I a big Caleb fan? Yes! Do I ACTIVELY want to start taking control of my finances? Absolutely.

Simpler Budget is straightforward and I can always see where my numbers are without seven million distractions.

Here’s to a better future!

Amazing Budgeting App!

Dollarwise is perfect for what I needed. It is very easy and intuitive to understand unlike a lot of budgeting softwares and apps. Everything can be allocated into their own category and set up exactly how you need it. It takes your monthly expenses and your monthly income and gives you a cash flow number that helps you see where you can cut spending and how much you are in the green/red each month.
