Money Manager : Budget Planner Reviews

I’m a new homeowner and tracking my budget is a must now with mortgage, utilities, etc. MoneyManager is PERFECT! I’ve recommended it to my friends as well. It allows you to track all your expenses, create personalized expense/income categories, and export the data - which I do each month for review. My only peeve is that you can’t sort the categories automatically. I might be a lil particular, but I’d love the option to sort them alphabetically. You can manually sort them but it’s a hassle and some categories glitch out of order. Other than that, I’d recommend to anyone!

I just downloaded MoneyManager and wanted to note some flaws I’ve already encountered in less than 10 min 😑

1. As another user mentioned, there’s no way to create an account to save your info. MoneyManager only allows you to log in. How can you log in if you don’t have an account?
2. You can create your own categories but each one that you create will be named “category(custom)”. It’s annoying and ugly. Everything else about MoneyManager is aesthetically pleasing. Why wouldn’t they fix this aspect as well?
3. You only have one thing that you can control in settings: whether or not you want notifications. It would be nice to see some things you could customize.
4. There’s no calendar view. This would’ve been useful to have if you wanted to see each month’s spending/earning at a glance.

If a something is fixed or I notice other flaws, I’ll be back to update this review.

Edit: will not be using MoneyManager. There’s nothing special about it. It’s just pretty.

I really like MoneyManager. It’s been helping me keep track of what I spend my money. I like that I don’t have to link my bank account. I can easily update it myself and there categories for everything. You can even make your own as well.

The only down side is that I can connect my Gmail or Facebook to save my progress. It even won’t let my create an account to avoid losing an data. So, your kinda of screwed if you get a new phone or if something happens.

My budget and spending habits are right here at my fingertips! Helps me balance my income and expenses with ease. I’m also able to make better decisions when it comes to my spending because it’s right there in my face. So many apps need to link your bank and charge a subscription fee but this one is what you see what you get. Refreshing. And it’s actually efficient!

So besides the constant asking to rate MoneyManager (super annoying) if you rate it less than a “5 stars” it’ll take you to a message system where you can email the developer and avoid and “bad” rating. If you rate it a 5 when asked, it takes you straight to MoneyManager Store to leave a review…sneaky

As for MoneyManager it self, it’s functional but the keys to type numbers are at the very bottom of my iPhone that sometimes they don’t register or my phone tried to switch MoneyManager .

Annoying:
1. No ability to create multiple budgets
2. Your remaining balance doesn’t carry over to the next month (why)
3. Taps sometimes don’t register for numbers

Good:
0. Free
1. It’s simple and clean, easy to understand
2. Custom icons for expenses and income
3. Large remaining balance and expenses

First of, I love MoneyManager! It’s easy to use and is a great way to keep track of your money, the pie chart helps see what you spend your money on and can help you save money. Being able to create your own categories can help specify to your life, and the little icons are perfect for quick identifying. It’s a great app and I highly recommend it!

My close friend recommended this to me. This is one of the best layouts for a money managing app that WON’T make you input your banking information. You can create your own categories with pre-made graphics. It’s perfect for people struggling with their budget and young people just beginning to learn how to budget as well.

Simple, and clean. Wish there was an option to not have icons since I’m not a big fan of them but love MoneyManager none the less. I also wish you could input 0.00 for the amount when you don’t know the exact bill amount but you have it in your list to remind you when it’s coming.

I love that there are no ads and MoneyManager is simple to use. My only two suggestions are, 1) that there be a notes section, or a separate chart to differentiate between money in a savings account vs spending money, and 2) that the amount of money remaining carries over from the one month to the next. MoneyManager works great and helps me stay organized!

I really like that program. Because it is a system that is very easy and comfortable to use. However, i would like to suggest, It would be better if black background feature is added. Thank you :)

So far I’ve been liking MoneyManager because it’s easy to use and navigate. The only part I don’t like is that you have to input every transaction instead of being able to link it to your account. But I guess that’s what to expect with something you don’t pay for.

I am new to MoneyManager so I have not worked with it very much. I am hoping that I signed that you can have a monthly payment that just continues to go on each month. That I will not have to type in all the information every month. Otherwise I am very Interested on how this whole thing will work.

I love MoneyManager so much. Before this I don’t have a good money tracker and I don’t even know how much I spend every month. I love the fact that MoneyManager is free and kudos to the developers. If you guys make a paid version I am also interested as well.

I use MoneyManager every two weeks to budget my paycheck. It’s totally awesome and free. Keep up the great work!
Dev note: If you could add an ability to divide your expenses into smaller periods like biweekly, it would be great. Right now I have to delete my monthly every two weeks. Thanks.

it is easy to use it on a daily basis anybody can do it if I can do it you can do it you can see where you spend your money and the way you waste your money and that makes me say and think oh what I spend

Super easy to use. So much better than any other apps. Very easy to organize and the best part I like about MoneyManager is you can customize nearly everything as you desire.

I recommend MoneyManager for the user that wants to outline their spending at a birdseye level from paycheck to paycheck. Very intuitive for that purpose.

If you want advanced reporting, cash flow, or anything that would make this a full blown accounting solution, this isn’t built for that.

It’s built to help you plan spending from paycheck to paycheck and for the serious budget conscious people should be used as a supplemental software.

It’s free, it works, you can’t really knock it for anything considering that everything else is subscription based now.

I just started using MoneyManager . End of January so putting in you monthly income was really easy and MoneyManager subtracts for you. It is a bit easier to add what you spend right on the spot, verses sitting and trying to remember what you spent for food or gas . So I’m liking MoneyManager

MoneyManager is very useful. Enter incomes and expenses is very quick and the UI is well thought.

The best of all to me is that is easy to use from other apps and doesn’t overwhelm you with unnecessary functionalities. The features are just what you need. Kudos!

Please have it where you can share with your partner or family members yay I would like that. Thank you like where you can invite them they can see what’s being put there they can add or modify it too

I’m loving MoneyManager so far. A few minor things I’d change:
1. Does anyone else’s app crash after each new entry or edit?
2. Wish the colors for each category were more customizable
3. The “chart” interface is not as attractive as the rest of MoneyManager imo

I like that it’s easy to use and helps me keep track of my budget. I can enter all my income and bills at the beginning of the month with the dates they are due and I have an immediate picture of working cash that’s leftover for the month.

I always wanted to do something like this to budget our income but it seems like a far away dream. All the bills and expenses made it so hard to put everything into paper. MoneyManager is amazing, super convenient and easy to use. Thank you😊

I really like MoneyManager so far and I like that you can add your own categories if you want and you get to choose the icon for each one you add from a pretty large selection!

Great app super simple to use and very streamline. Preloaded categories encompasses pretty much every type of expense, and what they are missing you can customize it to your liking.

I just love MoneyManager for it’s wonderful features and the simplicity of using. Can’t think of any other app when it’s come to money management.

MoneyManager is incredibly simple and customizable. Great graphics and features. The negative side is the support; I keep getting synchronization failed massage, and when I need to contact MoneyManager supports a non-English Facebook page open with no useful information.

Everything is great in MoneyManager. Following are badly missing:
1. Multiple Accounts support
2. Cash Withdrawal Option
3. Carry Forward of left over Cash.

My suggestion would be to have a feature to introduce values in multiple currencies

Easy to use and does everything even lets you export the data.
