Acceptable product

Unacceptable company , they monitor and spy on your chats and kick you off if they don’t like you . Everything goes into Splunk and it’s indexed and searched through and logged in the cloud . Should be banned from networks and channels for privacy and security reasons

They’ll take sides in IRC disputes, they’re UK based and they embrace cancel culture. Which is probably something they’re proud of , but that’s a dirty word in America.

So cancel them.

Just wrote a bunch, switched to a different app to look something up before sending, switched back and everything I typed was gone. This is regular.

Maybe the info was easy to miss or not provided, but I received an email notifying me that the stay-connected option is a PAID service with a free trial. While that is an understandable part of keeping the servers running I feel duped because the information about this feature being a paid service wasn’t provided up front.

Half the time I try to erase a typo the message ends up getting sent because the send button is right next to backspace and it’s a larger touch target. Similar to the interface where I’m typing this review, the send button should not be inside the keyboard.

About 3 months ago it just started lagging like crazy. After 10 seconds or so it would slow down and then freeze completely. I’m really not sure what happened but I used to use IRCCloud daily. Such a shame.

I cannot get it to connect to anything, any network. All I get is the spinning wheel after inputting my information. I’m a paying customer online, so I was disappointed. Mutter install not one problem.

The look and feel of IRCCloud is nice, but you can’t connect to passworded servers with a free account, which all but makes it useless.

Would be nice if I knew that beforehand, but oh well.

After sign up it says I have to confirm email. I get the email and click on the link to confirm but app continues to say I have to confirm email to connect to IRC servers.
Is IRCCloud even supported anymore?

It’s ok, nothing special but IRC is old. IRCCloud does too much and leans on Firebase. I wish it was more just functional and not trying to add slack-like features.

Apple put this in the new app basin as a productivity app. The only way i can imagine irc as productive is: I developed a productive cough while ****-talking on efnet, snapping at n00b hackers on freenode, arguing about something controversial in a controversial topic channel full of aspies, and trading unmentionable digital commodities on some heretofore unnamed network.

So far seems pretty simple to configure. Works with registered nicks and hides ident. I do like that I don’t have to keep the iPad on. I can just open it and it pulls all the messages when I was disconnected. I don’t see how you can really use an iPad or iPhone for IRC and not have this function.

For what it does it works. I would give it 5 starts, but it is pretty slim on features, but for what I use it for works perfect.

Good job! I am not sure why the reviews are so low. I will update my review if I have issues but so far a few hours in and works as expected.

Pretty amazing how well this works on a phone.

I used this app 2 years ago for awhile. Although it was great feature-wise. It had one serious flaw which made it useless for me: it was extremely slow. When you were reopening your app IRCCloud would take 2,3 seconds (every time) to load chat history.

Today I gave this app another shot and I am in love with it. It is great, fast and full of features.

I hope they would make it faster. Because I think the only thing they can improve is speed, and I think there are still space for improvement speed-wise.

Wonderful app and BNC. Just needs the 3D party client support that was mentioned several years ago.

I want to upgrade, but I cannot find it.

The user interface is very good and easy to use and it doesn’t disconnect when it runs in background.

The developers have been very active in regard to fixing issues and adding new features. This is my go to app for using IRC on both mobile and PC.

I honestly don’t understand the bad ratings. IRCCloud gets around an annoying issue: That iPhone usually disconnects from IRC after the screen has been turned off. This cloud solution is perfect.

This one is perfect, spent all day trying to solve the notification to IOS issues. Perfect, good work.
