Worthy Effort, and Much Appreciated

I most definitely like XP4N, however it still lacks some things that I hope the developer is working to add. The biggest thing to me is to add an option for NOT applying a film simulation. Yes, I know we can have it save an unprocessed image, but I’d rather have the option to turn off the film simulations and not save two images per shot. It would also be nice to have some additional options for black and white, like color filters, and NOT force us to use film simulations. And lastly, perhaps most important, please give us a preview of the image in the viewfinder! If I’m shooting B/W, it’d be nice to see the preview in B/W.
In any case, thanks for creating XP4N. I love the wide angle format, and to be able to do it right on my phone is HUGE to me!!!!

Does what it does very well

this app is built to emulate a panoramic film camera and it does this very well, including the simulation of classic film types. A recent update added a couple of more film siulations and made accessing the settings a little more transparent. XP4N works best using the main iPhone camera lens. the ultrawide and tele phone lenses produce very small files while the main leans produces a 24MP file. XP4N cannot produce a 48MP main lens file because of cropping.

It should be noted that this is an analog camera emulation. It does not produce the type of pano found in the iPhone native camera where you pan to produce an ultrawide pano. That said, XP4N does what it's supposed to do and does it well.

Initial feedback iPhone 15Pro Max

I look forward to trying this after just downloading it. I like the simplicity of it, however the most confusing thing is how to get out of XP4N after taking the photo?

For those how can’t afford a real XPan

Being primarily a film photographer and would love to own an XPAN but can’t afford it, this is a great simulation and substitute for the real thing. A simple point and shoot. My preferred mode is Daylight since Portra was one of my favorite film stocks. Wish there was a way to turn off the volume buttons from being the shutter button, otherwise great app.

Awesome single-click cam

I haven’t used an app like this in years - I dig the simplicity. Looking forward to using this on my upcoming trip.

Maybe a little help for us lefties? If I hold the phone like I usually do for Camera with XP4N, the picture is upside down, and shutter button moves the right instead of left. Plus if I could use the volume button as a shutter… 🤌🏻

Exceptional!

While I’m by no means a professional photographer, I know my way around film simulations—both through post-editing and as a Fujifilm camera user, as well as an occasional 35mm/120mm shooter. XP4N continues to enchant with its wonderful simplicity and exceptionally well-calibrated simulations. The core function of creating an XPan aspect ratio crop is especially welcome, saving time and greatly assisting with framing.

Love it

I’m using it for landscape. The film choices work well in different situations. It’s easy to choose options and to go back and forth between them, especially the lenses.

Impressive Titles From an Impressive Developer

A commitment to apps and quality should be standardized upon Bram’s creations on iOS. He has patiently demonstrated commitment to his work and products. This should be respected by all. Peace.

A simply lovely camera

A simple camera without the bells and whistles in the best possible way .. lovely photos, a pleasure to use .. glad it’s here.
