I can not recommend EasyContacts due to the broken functionality of many key features. I am running the latest iPadOS 13.4 on a 2019 iPad Pro. The major issue I’m having is with the filtering tab, where EasyContacts filters contacts by specific fields and/or ranges. For example - show me all contacts without email addresses. The entire page of different filters do not work. Any filter you choose, does absolutely nothing. It just freezes. I emailed the developer twice over a month long period and never received a response. By looking at the other reviews, it appears that others also can’t get response either.

If you are a developer, collect money from customers ($4.99 in my case) and have no plans on fixing bugs or communicating with your paying customers, do the right thing and remove your app from EasyContacts Store, rather than ripping people off. Thank you.

EasyContacts deleted all my contacts and so I contacted support in a panic but heard nothing for an entire day so I paid $4.99 for a subscription specifically to access the backup feature because before all my contacts deleted I saw it initiate and complete a backup, I just couldn’t figure out where it went or how to find it, and the worst part is I still don’t know! I have no idea how to locate the backup of my contacts because apparently when you pay almost five bucks literally NOTHING CHANGES nothing! No additional features or options or anything. Just five less dollars in my pocket and no contacts. Maybe this is a sign from the universe or something...wow that’s actually rather poetic...I still want my money back, but I’ll consider the lesson, thanks universe!

My various Macs were duplicating contacts over and over taking my 1500+ contacts to tens of thousands. Nothing Apple offered could stop it or fix it.

EasyContacts seemed to have what I needed. But it too failed in specific ways. Yes it got rid of most but not all duplicates. However it also combined hundreds of names and also simply deleted many contacts I can never get back.

For example it deleted every family member of mine with the same last name. My kids, wife and extended relatives were wiped out. Also some people with my last name I’m not related to.

And this happed to every other last name match. I must know 50 unrelated smith’s for example. It combined a few but deleted most of the others.

I deleted EasyContacts and now have to try and find hard copies of all those lost contacts. Worse is I use the Notes section extensively with all kinds of professional and personal data that can never be recovered.

There’s a button that pops up automatically give them five stars. This is how they’ve gotten most of their reviews. When you use the free version and you want to delete more than 10 contacts it prompts you to buy the software. If you click the button to buy it it immediately charges your account $10 as a subscription. It will automatically renew if you don’t go in and shut it off. The 3.99 version may or may not have this feature. There is no indication of how much they’re going to charge you before they charge you $10. That’s a crazy amount of money in a very sneaky way in order to delete a few contacts. I’m deleting EasyContacts and I will not use it anymore.

I've been using Simpler for as long as I can remember. I've researched other apps but never found a reason to switch. It's user-friendly and has never given me any problems. It's got great features too, like the "duplicate" feature that helps you easily and quickly endure your contact list is clean, accurate and up-to-date. Don't be sucked into the higher priced more complicated apps, Simpler is all you'll ever need to stay on top of your contacts!

I have used this in the past. I LOVED it - key word here, love in the past tense.

About six months ago, after previously deleting it, I redownloaded EasyContacts and decided to try again. My problem is, I can’t add birthdays to my contacts. I can do first, middle, and last name, but as soon as I press the “add birthday” option, the “done” button disappears therefore NOT allowing me to save the progress.

I just updated about two minutes ago. I thought maybe that would fix the problem. After all, I couldn’t be the only one having that problem, right? Well, I was wrong! It did NOT fix it. So here’s the deal, if the problem is not fixed, if I continue to have trouble saving the “birthdays” options to my contacts, I will be forced to delete and go elsewhere.

Please do Not waste your time on this! Honestly, handwriting your contact info down would be a lot easier, faster, and reliable.

This application seemed great initially as it swiftly deleted all the duplicate contacts in my address book with ease. Then I noticed some contacts started statistic that I had just talked to/texted including favorites like my wife and brother. Had to restore my phone to before EasyContacts download. Updated to newest update and have another try. Again app had negative impact on hands free functions that have resolved since deleting EasyContacts .
I tried to give them as chance and reached out immediately upon first issue but has been several days and still no response. I use my phone for work at times so this was unacceptable.

I loved EasyContacts and used it for years, but over the last few months it kept notifying me that I needed to update, but to an earlier version! I continued to get this alert even if I clicked on the update. I sent two emails to Support about this, but no one responded. Then a few days ago as I was adding a new contact, suddenly all my contacts disappeared. I couldn’t get them back, although they’re still in my native iPhone contacts. The Help files didn’t help. I again sent emails for support, but again no one responded. I give up.

I’ve used EasyContacts for years and loved it- the ability to send out group emails. It started prompting me to update to a newer version, but didn’t update. Just the other day, it showed no contacts- all disappeared! I paid the $5 to upgrade to Pro, downloaded and still no contacts. There’s no way to import my contacts! I tried contacting support and an error message comes up. I’m still getting the prompt to upgrade when I open it, with the same results as before. Don’t waste your money on EasyContacts!!!

Like a previous reviewer, I tried opening EasyContacts after updating my iOS (in this case to iOS 14), and now all of my contacts are gone. I tried emailing the developer and didn’t hear back.

I followed the support instructions to hit the BUY button again to restore my previous purchase for Pro, but instead of restoring my previous purchase, it just charged me again. With No Update or Change!

I’m very disappointed in EasyContacts. Luckily, my Apple Contacts app wasn’t affected.

Have been using EasyContacts for some time even before it was called Simpler. It is so nice to be able to send a group email to a host of your contacts with just one message. Highly recommend EasyContacts for ios devices, its like using groups in Outlook on your PC.

I like a Simpler. I integrate it with Google and it’s nice to be able to clean up my contacts, especially as I migrated contacts from Apple to Google. Sync with FB for photos is also good. Great for people who want to ensure complete contacts, eg who is missing a phone number. You can trust EasyContacts thus far.

To this day we have been unable to load contacts into the system. Support is non existent. Every time I go to the faq or support section of EasyContacts , I get a cryptic message about not configuring user voice. My wife purchased the $4.99 upgrade, out of frustration, which was charged, and we never got the upgrade. I have been in IT for over 30 years and so can’t comprehend how anyone could possibly bring something this bad to market.

It's so much easier to text regular groups on your phone with EasyContacts. I love how it double-checks for duplicates and that it appears similar to my iPhone so I don't feel I have to learn a whole new system. I like the different colors on the contacts which make it kinda fun!

There is no direct email to reach this developer. I submitted a support request using their online form but so far reaching out to this developer is proving to be tricky and annoying. It’s nearly 2 days since I reached out to them but no response.
I raised a support ticket with apple as well but I am still unable to use the premium features that I paid for.
What worries me is that as a paid subscriber, I cannot get a prompt response.

I have been using simpler for a few years and just recently lost all my apps. Tried everything to get them back and to even start over but the program does not seem to be working and I can’t even get EasyContacts to update. Now I have to try and rebuild all of my contacts. Tried to contact support but they do not respond. Don’t waist your money, even the free version isn’t worth it. I don’t recommend EasyContacts

Found this so one day on a whim. I just stumbled upon it and I'm so glad I did! My contacts have quadrupled over the years. From getting new phones to setting up email addresses, my contacts were just so unorganized. Not anymore!

The absolute worst ap ever! Doesn’t tell you that if you delete a contact out of the ap, it deletes it off your phone! Took me hours to figure out how to restore them. For those iPhone users who lost your contacts: log into iCloud on a computer, click account settings, under advanced select restore contacts. Restoring my iPhone to the last iCloud backup had not fixed it. This is the only thing that worked.

Can y’all update less often? Or have fewer questions about whether or not I want to update? I realize it just takes a nanosecond to click it away but stilll annoying.
