I will say in general SugarWOD is great.

If you have any issues and try to contact them you are screwed.

Beginning of November I had issues trying to pay for a subscription. Kept getting an error and submitted an email through their website & had 0 response. Waited 2 weeks and did my own thing. Tried again with same error and submitted a second complaint. Few days later still no response so made a new account as I need to train for a comp.

The first response I got from their customer service was nov 19 that my issue was getting escalated (over 3 weeks from my initial attempt to contact). I just got a resolution email tgat the problem is fixed yesterday (Dec 7).

So if you need any assistance from their customer service good luck. I recommend creating a new account otherwise you sit in limbo forever. Not exactly great for an app to help you track your daily training.

My gym just switched from Beyond the White Board to this app. So far, the biggest difference is that it is way harder to find/ log workouts that aren’t your gyms prescribed WOD. I have a very physical job and in addition to my gyms regular stuff I need to add in and occasionally substitute WODs that are more functional for me. I’m already missing BTWB because it was so much easier to add other work in. In addition, I feel like the layout of SugarWOD is clunkier and less professional feeling. I’m trying to take it easy on SugarWOD as I get more acclimated to it, but it seems like a pretty big step down that I can only assume the gym took as a money-saving measure with COVID-19’s impact on their bottom line.

It’s very frustrating that is the owner of the business I cannot go further saffiliate manager should be able to access entire week of workouts on this app into the week beyond one day and make edits to workouts and programming should I need to when I don’t have access to a desktop computer. Whatever functions can be done on the desktop should be able to be done from a smart phone. For this reason, as a business owner, I give a one star feedback. The least of my worries should have to be trying to scramble to a desktop to make adjustments to my gym is programming

I have very much enjoyed SugarWOD and it has functioned well for me. My only complain is the inability to record additional custom benchmark WODs. It always you to log custom WODs but unless you go back through your history and find that specific WOD you have no way of comparing the two as you do with the Benchmark WODs they have in SugarWOD . This really should be added and it would make this a 5 star app in my opinion.

App does its job, however I have memberships at multiple gyms, a couple of which use SugarWOD. It’s super annoying to have to log out and log back in every time I want fo switch programming. Can you please update to allow toggling back and forth without having to log out and back in to access different programming?

The last update came with an utterly stupid acknowledgement message when you hit a one rep max. In order to get rid of the "You've set a new one rep max" or something like that, you must hit the button that says "I am awesome!" Please, please, please get rid of that stupid message. I know no one that thinks that is an appropriate message. For those that like the message, give people the option of seeing that message every time they spell a word correctly, but don't make me have to acknowledge that again.

I recently began to travel for work and was having a hard time finding CrossFit affiliates for drop-ins. The hours, locations from my hotels and costs added up quickly making difficult to keep up with working out.
Th is program has fixed all of that. When I am on the road I use this program in the hotel gyms everyday. The workouts are easily adaptable to hotel gyms. There is no questions about what I am doing from the general warmup to the WOD prep through the WOD. It’s all there, I don’t have to guess, or makeup my own WOD, which I always made too easy. Thanks to Garage Movement I am getting back on track.

It’s a great app but when viewing the wods sometimes doesn’t show the full workout for that wod. For example, under Barraza only the time cap and the run and deadlifts are listed under the general description. The burpee bar muscle ups are missing from that description. I’ve noticed a few wod descriptions being like this. If you could fix that then it would be a near-perfect app. Thanks!

I love SugarWOD! I’ve been doing CrossFit for about 2.5 years and I have always kept track of my workouts in a notebook. Sometimes I wouldn’t track because it takes too much time to write down the workout and then track it. Ever since I started using SugarWOD I track every workout. I love how I can look back quickly at my 1RM and all my info for any workout. SugarWOD is so user friendly and helps build our positive CrossFit community where you can encourage each other on workouts! Nicely done!

Being a member of the military gives me a chance to travel to different locations, where I have opportunities to experience several crossfit drop-ins here and there- Tolland crossfit has been, by far, The BEST gym I have exercised at. I felt welcomed from day one- DJ, one of the coaches/owner was VERY pleasant the moment I approached his desk, telling him that I would like to become a “ member” for 2 weeks-

You leave the gym with a feeling of satisfaction of the workout you have done— even though you are tired— I ❤️ XFit!

DJ- be PROUD of your gym community- you have an excellent group of coaches, including you, and excellent members- EVERYONE has been nice to me.

I will return ,for sure, anytime I am in the area-

I love SugarWOD . I have been using it for 2 years now. For SugarWOD team, when I search a workout in the logbook, I can’t find old workouts. For example, I tried searching yesterday’s workout and even though I know it’s there it would populate. I even typed it word for word. Just something I seen that could improve SugarWOD . Thanks for your time

If you need an easy way to track your lifts and WOD times this is ur app. Even on the floor sweating u can tap in your results. Love being able to see score of others in your gym and to give them positive feedback. When you work percentages you just pull up the lift and your data is all filled in. Only gap I’ve found is that the assault bike or bike Erg arnt included in the selection for endurance efforts.

Next level personalize service at group rate prices. How hard do you want to work and at what rate? Up to you, but whiteboard shows you where you stack up to others and then competitive juices start flowing - now I have to get up and get my work in!

I never write reviews for apps, but this one deserves it. Whoever the developers are should get the ultimate pat on the back. I used to use Wodify to track my stuff at my local box but now I rarely remember because this one has virtually take its place in all areas. It’s intuitive, easy to use, clean interface, and PACKED with features. Plus it’s free. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Love SugarWOD. It’s so great to keep track of your workouts and encourage your fellow gym peeps along the way. It would be nice to be able to click on notifications though to see snag people are fist bumping. Like if I get a notification that John Doe fist bumped my image comment I would love to be able to click that and see what image comment. I can’t tell what anyone is fist bumping.

Been using this app for 5 years now and would normally give it 5 stars. Great way to build a community and track your progress. Giving it 5 stars because when going to the “Benchmark” area it causes SugarWOD to crash. This is a key feature and when fixed I’ll chance my review and would suggest to anyone.

Updated my review due to above issue being fixed. Thank you this app!

Notifications used to be accessible via the bottom navigation bar. Now they're several taps away in a menu you can only access from certain screens. Please move them back to the nav bar.

I understand y'all want to add this store thing, which is fine, you deserve to get paid. But it's not at all relevant to me and notifications are. Can you at least squeeze a 5th item into the nav bar for notifications?

If you do, I'll update to 5 stars again.

SugarWOD helps me log my workouts, look up times and weights used for past workouts, and gives me percentages of my max weights for preparing for future workouts. It's very user friendly and I really like how it makes me acknowledge that "I'm awesome" when I reach a new PR. My cousins live in a different state and go to different boxes, and I appreciate that we can be "friends" on this app and see each others logs/posts and help hold each other accountable.

This is the only WOD app I've tried, but it works for me as expected. I like the goofy little "I am awesome" message w the confetti. Its goofy but makes me smile. I like being able to see my slow steady progress. Seeing the rest of the gyms results is appreciated. I'm bottom of the men's list in my CF gym of those who record w this app, but it gives me the incentive to push a little harder each class. I see the advancement every day and thats what matters. Thanks for a good, easy app.

Love SugarWOD - it’s helped me track the last year of my fitness as I’ve grown. Been doing CrossFit for 13 months and this has helped me see my growth in speed, strength, endurance etc. My box uses this for all members and I’ve enjoyed SugarWOD throughly - easy to use and great to go back i time to see PRs and other lifts. Also love that it helps you calculate your % for life’s if way you want to lift at 65% of a 1rm for a certain lift. I highly recommend this app- not glitchy at all.

App is great and our box uses this application. Would like to see Apple Watch support through app so we can track as we go. App is a bit slow and sometimes requires frequent refreshes to see what you already got a notification for. Would like a better way to fist bump others with out having to go into each one individually.

This is a good app for daily workouts the only complaint I have is that they are inconsistent with the times that the post the daily workouts. Sometimes the daily workout with post at 12am and sometimes it won’t post until 3pm if at all that day. If they fix this and set a standard time for daily post it would be a five star rating.

I love SugarWOD ! I get to track my progress, see what my friends have done and give/receive encouragement and praise! Love the enhancements which one I just noticed was the additional rep %s under the barbell tab. Love that. Also love that it is easier to give friends fist bumps. Just overall great app! Now if only it could enter my WOD results for me! 🤣🤣🤣
