Can’t book classes

ChelseaPiersFitnessApp thinks my membership is at a different club so I can’t book classes with it. I’ve told the desk 3x and no one can help me. Very frustrating. Please help.

So many bugs - please fix!

When you log in for the first time, you have to reset your password even if you already have set it online? And the ‘save’ button doesn’t work unless the new password is specifically 8 characters long, so you have to have an 8-character password

The ‘learn more’ buttons on the main dashboard don’t work (under guest passes and complementary training session)

The classes list was default filtered to Chelsea (not my location) and when I removed it and tried to add a filter to my location…. there was no option to filter by location. Deleted and re downloaded app and had the same issue. Please fix this one especially — it’s really hard to see which classes are actually available to me when most of the ones I have to scroll through are totally irrelevant

Made for adverts

ChelseaPiersFitnessApp is optimized to look good in adverts over actually being functional. Trying to book a swim session went from 3 taps to god knows how many. Even though I’m a daily user, I am now supposed to tap through a plethora of screens with pictures of the gym, and pool, as an “upgrade”. It even makes me pick between the Downtown Brooklyn and Chelsea locations every single time. Woulda been nice to have redesigned ChelseaPiersFitnessApp for regular users but like all scaling businesses, the customer takes a backseat to marketing at scale.

Please fix!!!

The CP app is horrible! The add to calendar feature doesn’t work at all. I’ve clicked on it serveral times, I’ll get a prompt saying the class has been added to my calendar and nothing. I have several calendars so the fact that it doesn’t even give me an option to add it to a specific cal (Apple vs Google), is how I know it’s not working. I also check just to make sure, but no go.

The notify feature doesn’t work properly either. I don’t get a notification to remind me to sign up for a class. I’ll also sign up for a class tomorrow (as an example) and I will get more than 5 notifications reminding me that my class starts in an hour, although it’s not until the next day.

Considering members are paying a lot of money, it would be great if ChelseaPiersFitnessApp would work properly with such basic features.

Really bad for swim booking

I swim nearly every day and ChelseaPiersFitnessApp is now so complicated. Also, has the waitlist option disappeared?? This is maddening.

Bad UX

Lots of bad UX/UI throughout

Old app was way better!

Filter feature is all messed up. I have to log in from browser to filter the classes.

Overhyped relaunch

For as much marketing as they’ve done about this new app, not much has changed and some things actually got worse - ex: they no longer show how many people are on the waitlist which used to be a good indicator of your likelihood to clear. I also got 6 push notifications that I was due shortly at a class when that wasn’t accurate at all.

“Notify me” does not work

It’s always a nightmare signing up for classes that book up so fast. I don’t get any notifications if a class opens up or if I get off a waitlist.

Prettier layout but absolutely dysfunctional and crappy usability

Can’t book classes properly and the notification function is a total joke

Doesn’t recognize check ins

I’ve been 3x in the last week - able to use check in QR code without issue at front desk but check ins don’t show in ChelseaPiersFitnessApp (regardless login/out or re-downloading app).

Group fitness function also struggles. If you click notify, then when the booking window opens for that day you can book everything else except the class you notified for - still says it will notify you. Same issue happened when I got waitlisted for a class; didn’t tell me I was into the class. When I cancelled a class I was booked in, ChelseaPiersFitnessApp then told me I was waitlisted.

Location feature also glitching - Home Screen shows me I’m at flatiron location but group class feature only shows me Chelsea location classes and no filter option to change it. I can “delete” Chelsea as a filter but can’t select flatiron; also it didn’t change the class options anyway when deleting the filter.

Lots to debug here. Great gym, bad app.

Booking push notifications don’t work - PushKit

You haven’t integrated PushKit to allow for iPhone push notifications. There are settings in ChelseaPiersFitnessApp to control the type of push notifications you can get but you never integrated Apple’s PushKit for it to actually enable push notifications on the iPhone.

Too complicated

1. It was more convenient when you could just update the page and scroll down to the date and class available. There is no need to see so many days if we cannot book classes in advance more than 24 hrs anyway.
2. Besides that, it slows down ChelseaPiersFitnessApp when you scroll or switch between the days.
3. Location filter didn’t turn on automatically and there is no option to filter by location. Only when I closed and opened ChelseaPiersFitnessApp again, it showed the location.
4. Why do I need to enable my location settings to check in? I don’t want it to be in the background “always” and my setting is “while using ChelseaPiersFitnessApp ”. But when I tapped on check-in today in the gym, it asked me to enable my settings. Smth is wrong here and needs to be fixed.

I liked the old version more. It was simple and fast.
One day of using ChelseaPiersFitnessApp , we will see if anything changes.

A little better

Mostly better class and event browsing and scheduling, but a few fairly significant issues:

1. Notifications consistently ping me in batches of 3 for the same class. And they send right after booking when you book a day in advance (which is always). Had to turn them off because they’re useless.

2. Adding to calendar works great, but ChelseaPiersFitnessApp requests full calendar write *and read* access, which makes no sense. You have to reject access, then go into privacy settings on iOS and select add-only privileges for ChelseaPiersFitnessApp , and then it works.

3. It absolutely needs Apple Wallet support—notifications need to be off because of (1), and always-on location sharing should not be required for ChelseaPiersFitnessApp; using Apple Wallet passes can give location based prompting for the check-in pass on both the phone and an Apple Watch, without requiring notifications or location access to ChelseaPiersFitnessApp .

Check in button stopped working

I’m unable to get the check in QR code. The whole app fades out. I logged in & out, used 5g and WiFi, and restarted my phone.
Nothing helped.

Not bad needs work still

Getting better! Features from the old app that should be added
- ability to see previous months activity and visits for the month, not just week. Super important for keeping yourself accountable
- QR code pop up should prompt screen brightness to go up (and if there’s a way to save to wallet that would be great)

Nice app. Lap Swim Booking inconvenient

The new app looks nice. The class calendar works well. One criticism - it would be better if the lap swim booking was not lumped in with other activities like babysitting and personal training. There are too many steps to take to get there, especially if you want to book every day. A single button to the pool booking on the home page would be better, just like the class booking button at the top.
