Really Helps Me Map My Triggers
This app has truly helped me during a time frame when I can’t see an actual therapist due to insurance reasons. My friends are definitely sick of hearing my fears, anxiety and stress about my LOL but in reality this app has help me realize that if I get bad sleep or lack of sleep my anxiety, social anxiety and depression is really bad the next day. Which is some thing with a therapist I never really would’ve realized. Also I use only the free version (I am disabled and not yet receiving my SSDI) But the free version has VERY helpful things such as the uplifting quotes or meditations or jokes to help put me in a better mood OR perspective. I like the random things they ask you to write about like “things to be appreciative about that day” helps me put my life and a better perspective. Only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I wish there was a way to combine all the checkmark things that I’m doing for the day and be able to write about my day in one pass instead of having to go through it all over again. But all in all this is a great app I would recommend it even to people who are in therapy or group counseling it’s really a great tool to better mental health! Great for teens too, my niece is using it to deal with her teenage issues without worrying about peer influence or gossip. Helps her a lot!
Even the free version is great!!
This app allows you to put a picture with your journal entry and it will even give you journal entry ideas if you don’t know what to write. You can track your moods and turn on reminders so you can see what your mood tends to be during times of the day. It gives you a night routine that is very helpful during covid to get on a better schedule. They have courses where you can learn more about mental health and what you can do to improve your self care and mental well being. Though it’s annoying that some things are restricted to only people who pay, I like what they do offer for free. It’s overall a great free app. They even have scholarships to get it paid for. I do not have one but I think that’s awesome they care about customers and will help pay for some people to use the premium features. Overall I think it’s great and would recommend! 👍
Great but would love to suggest things
I’m very excited to have tried this app to track my moods and find it extremely helpful, especially since it records time when you journal (and I am terrible at journaling but a quick note on a phone I can do!) AND activities that you were doing when recording a mood change. I would really love more options for both emotions (worst, low, normal, high, and elevated are very limiting and I’d like more specificity) and activity icons when I’m adding my own activities. Angry, afraid, anxious, guilty, content, etc. would be amazing to have as emotion options. “Normal” and “high” don’t capture enough or aren’t correct for me sometimes. It would also be nice to see all activities under a mood in Insights, rather than only the most recently used five. I’m only on day four but I can’t wait to see more data and get much-needed insight into my emotional states. User interface is great, visually appealing but simple and easy to use. Recommending to friends for sure.
Great partner app through my depression
I was going through a real down period and felt like I couldn’t really get my thoughts down in a reliable application. Tried a number of different methods even using ones that works previously and nothing seemed to stand out. Once i started using mooditude and made an effort to use the app, it slowly became a part of my routine. After a number of months using it i finally paid for the subscription. It really has helped me monitor my feelings overtime and I appreciate how quick and easy it is to wrote journals on this app. This is literally my first review for an app and totally deserves it.
I like it
I wish the routines had more customizability, but it's alright as is. I think the most important part to me is the journaling aspect. I don't have a physical notebook I feel comfortable writing in, but when I write on here I have no filter. I can express myself to myself far better than I can with any other person, and changing these thoughts from feeling to words is really helpful. I don't really use the other features because I wanna work on just journaling and routine following before I add any more for me to do.
Life changing App!
I have recently updated the app and it now has an added feature which allows me to look back and identify what kinds of thoughts I was having leading to a poor mood. I have suffered from emotional eating for years and now that I can reflect and see patterns that cause me to eat emotionally. I have since then lost weight.. Thank you so much for creating this app. It has changed my life !
Good at tracking symptoms but not at diagnosing
This app is extremely thorough in allowing you to track your mood, what you were doing when you felt that way, time, etc. as well as sleep patterns, exercise, meditation, medication, and menstruation. It gives analysis and graphs for highs and lows and streaks, but there’s no real diagnosis or follow up that comes with the inputs. I am not, of course, expecting this to be a form of therapy or to take the place of a doctor. In fact, I think it’s a great tool to use to bring to a therapist for reference in certain areas of depression and mental health tracking.
This app is great - really well executed - based in science- I was extremely pleased and surprised and the quality and actual helpful content contained within the app. I never buy apps - I’m too cheap - but I payed the $6 to enjoy the full content - not only because I truly think it’s worth it but I wanted to support the app designers because I do really like this product and think they deserve it.
It helped me exactly when I needed it
I tried therapy and meditation, which wasn’t for me. I started losing hope, but not long after I was introduced to Mooditude which created a safe place to journal my feelings and get THE HELP I needed. I was guided through my thoughts step by step which lead me to solve my problems. I use it everyday for mental health breaks, and it’s on demand by my side for whenever I need it. Love this App!! Thank you!
The app has helped me
I use the app every day and it has directly increased the quality of my life. Thank you. Since I live in a country that international payments are not possible, the premium parts won’t be available for me. But I am grateful for the parts that are free and if some other parts become free as well, it would make even more change in my life.
An app that really helps
It’s really helping me with my anxiety and depression and on re play thoughts, I’m thinking to upgrade to have full access to app but as far as the free version it’s still very useful but I feel having full access will be worth paying for it. I’m glad I found this app 😊
I’ve been using Mooditude for 2 weeks and find the app to be really helpful & easy to use. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to track their mental health and how it correlates with sleep, meditation, menstruation, and other activities. Strengths: - simple mood rating & activity logging system means I can quickly record what is going on - automatically graphs data - ability to personalize activities means I can make the app work better for me Ways app could be improved: - make graphs easier to interpret by labeling axes - make it easier to understand what the mood faces are meant to be (still unsure what the grey face represents) & how they are translated into graphed numbers - is there a way to export and save the data?
I’ve been looking for a free mood tracker to help deal with my anxiety and depression, especially as of late. The fact that you can choose the amount you’d like to pay, even if it is $0, makes this worth a try at least. Can’t wait to continue using this

Free to download pay to use
I was going to recommend this to students with emotional problems that I work with since it looked free to download. Since you can not access even a basic version without paying I am not going to recommend it at all. There is no chance for me to thoroughly check on this app, and I would not recommend an app to my students they need to pay for because many of them cannot afford it. A basic free version should be made available.
