- If you have password lock on for opening VLC, it feels like content should pause or stop playing if it’s locked
- Button for looping only appears in the video controls when the player is in horizontal orientation
- OneDrive audio files limited to 2452
- Album art disappears in full screen mode and when minimised to the mini player mode
- Displaying the OneDrive audio file directly is aggravatingly slow
- Designed around thumbnails now instead of text, and since I don’t have images it just looks busy, everything is too big, and it takes more scrolling to find what I want
Hi, issues are 1) when a track starts, 1-2 seconds at the beginning of the track isn’t audible. 2) Sometimes when manually changing tracks no audio is present for three more track changes. 3) The display has difficulty keeping up with what the player is doing. iPhone 12. Thanks.
I keep getting the error message “playback failed” on my iPad so I have to play each track manually.
About 2 weeks ago some of the titles and labels in VLC became unreadable, as in a foreign language. I have downloaded VLC from several sources since that time and am very careful to select "English" as the preferred language. Regardless of what I do, upon completion of the download I receive a message that is mostly wingdings. I attempt to follow suggestions on web postings to get the text in English but the more I try, the more bizarre the text becomes. I would appreciate any help you could give in thissituation.
UDHISAPI message. Won’t scan library or get beyond this screen.
I cannot turn off subtitles on the iPad. All the advice I’ve been able to find refers to menus or buttons that do not seem to exist in the current version.
With the apple video adapter plugged into my iphone 13 pro max and VLC open and playing movie. When I plug the adapter into my iphone I get a message "video playing on tv" and this is mirrored to TV. I hear audio from the video but only the message for the video. Any suggestions on how I might repair this? The TV is an older Westinghouse and I am connecting with an Known good HDMI cable.
VLC is crashing in iOS. At first it happened on my iPad. I have not yet deleted the app for reinstalling (more on this in a moment), but updating the app and making sure I was running the latest version of iOS didn't help. Then, today, a few weeks later, under the same conditions, it crashed on my iPhone in the same manner: a brief glimpse of the orange startup screen, then a snap back to the iOS home screen. The app remains in the active queue until you swipe it up. At first I thought perhaps I had over-loaded my VLC library, but that pertained only to the iPad; relatively few videos were in VLC (or anywhere else) on the iPhone. If there is any commonality, I think it may be this: Both on the iPad and the iPhone, the crash happened after an Airdrop transfer of a video from my iMac. —In the first instance (iPad), VLC had already been booted. The file, an MP4, by default, loaded into Photos. From there I exported it to VLC and I was able to play a few moments of the video; then I quit out of the app and shut down. A few hours later, when I rebooted the iPad, and in turn tried to boot VLC, it crashed. —In the second instance (iPhone), VLC had not been active when the Airdrop transfer was made—an MKV file, directly into VLC. Which simply refused to boot thereafter. I was able to check the videos: Using iOS' Files app, I was able to move them (and others) from VLC to several other video players on which they played perfectly. (I have not yet deleted VLC because I don't want to delete its library on either device; I'm gradually moving the files to watch other players; once that's done, I'll delete and reinstall the app.) I think, though, that the problem may lie in a recent VLC update. Airdrop transfers had been working flawlessly for me for about 2.5 years. For that function to quit on two different iOS devices with different sized archives at approximately the same time—and in both cases the videos playing other apps after moving serving as proof that the files were not corrupted—suggests that something about the latest build(s) is not anymore wholly compatible with Airdrop. Or with accepting exported files in general. Please investigate and advise.
The speed is slightly fast all of a sudden . Was working on a guitar lesson . I put a different dvd in and the same .
