I use iPad in horizontal mode so it can stay attached to a keyboard. When I installed the PNP app, it won't rotate and display across the screen; instead it can only be viewed with the iPad in vertical position, with the keyboard up in the air. Since all my other apps auto rotate, I don't think it's my settings. If you can fix this, or let me know how to fix it, it would be great. Kudos to Fr. Josiah, the people of St. Andrews and the entire staff of PNP for taking a faith-based rather than marketing approach. Inquirers shouldn't have to buy things just to explore the teachings of the Church. Orthodoxy is such a paradigm shift from most western religions...it can take a really long time to consider the teachings before one is even ready to go to a service or meet a priest. You have everything here in one place from the earliest Saints to the latest sermons and I look forward to exploring all the sections. Thank you so much for making it free!

It is a bit clunky, but lots of great info.
The one thing I have an issue with is the synaxerion. I LOVE IT, but seleting the date is a pain because the selector always goes back to January 1. It would be nice if it automatically selected the current date or, at least, the last date you selected. Other than that, I really enjoy it.

PatristicNectar is excellent and allows me to download everything I need. My only note is that the synaxarion needs to be updated to allow choice by date as it was on the old website.

I listen to these lectures every morning on my walk. This is a blessing among men and helps so much to deepen the faith and ones theology.

PatristicNectar has been the most valuable thing I have ever had on my phone. Absolutely great teachings.

Great material that can pretty hard to find on “traditional” app. Highly recommend and am constant impressed with how much they’ve compiled from literature, music, audio books etc.

PatristicNectar has a wealth of informative, edifying, and regenerating lectures, psalms, and music. What a beautiful way to for any orthodox Christian to learn deeper about their faith. Wether it be the Divine Liturgy, an orthodox catechism, the original church of the apostles and Christ our Lord, or the origins of the world, PatristicNectar has it all.

I've been using PatristicNectar every day for several hours each day, and it has provided such a great deal of knowledge that I otherwise probably wouldn't have found on my own and puts it all in one place where it's easy to navigate. My entire family wants to convert to Orthodox Christianity, and until we are officially able to go to church and become catechumen, this has been so lovely and such a blessing.

I never write app reviews, but I had to write this one. This is a fantastic resource for Orthodox Christians and it should be financially supported. Before PatristicNectar , Fr. Josiah’s courses were available for purchase, but now they’re free! It’s very generous and the content is incredible!

I am not orthodox, only considering. However Father Josiah is one of my favorite Christian thinkers alive. I had purchased tons of these lectures before they were free. Now they are free I am donating 25$ a month. I hope everyone gives what they can because these are great lectures. It’s a great resource.

PatristicNectar is a must need for all who seek knowledge of the true God. It is full of spiritually enriching content that is relevant to all people of this age whether they are young or old, black or white, educated or uneducated. PatristicNectar is a must have for those who wish to truly know God and wish to know his true church!

Im really enjoying all of the content. The UX is very easy to navigate. Search function works well. My only nitpick is that once a tag is made it cannot be edited or deleted. I have one with a misspelled word, and another I’m not using. But they remain in the list as is forever.

Fantastic source for new orthodox inquirers such as myself. I have found myself using PatristicNectar more than I expected. Having access to catechism lessons on my phone has been such a lifesaver, especially when there is no Orthodox Church nearby, PatristicNectar help me feel connected.

I’m very thankful that Patristic Nectar came out with PatristicNectar. I had downloaded the catechism program earlier and I think that it’s great that they are providing so much free material for orthodox education.

I look forward to seeing what they add to PatristicNectar. Personally I’d love to see more from the modern saints, and practical guidance in spiritual growth.

This helps me be closer to God , and grow intellectually as well as spiritually despite my busy schedule , I am able to listen to psalms at night , lectures in the morning and sermons in the day to connect reality and life with God and not leave him out of growing in my career with also growing spiritually.
