I have to revise yet again my review that I initially wrote on June 9, 2024, and revised on June 18, because now, after almost two weeks, I have finally received a responsive e-mail from Mr. Matt Cowlin allowing me to upgrade the app that I downloaded on June 8, for the promised $1.99. The upgrade is, indeed, new and improved, but be ready for anything but quick responses from the developer.
Great improvements on this app from last version but… I would give it 3.5 stars

Used the prior version of this app for years. It was a great stand alone prompter but was a little glitchy with fonts and speeds. It was also a little difficult to edit. This version is much better on those fronts. If you want to use it as a solid prompter for copy with a separate device for recording, this is a good bet and better than the 3 or 4 other apps I’ve used. If it was possible to rate it 3.5 stars right now, I would but I rounded up as it’s sold as an app for the prompter feature.
I’m having difficulty with orientation and accessing camera on both the iPhone and iPad. Not sure if that will be resolved with an upgrade to premium or not. On the iPad, it’s not allowing me to adjust the orientation and goes to landscape when the camera is clearly in portrait mode and vice versa. Cannot be rectified on the version I’m using. It works better on phone but will not record. Maybe these are minor bugs with updates coming soon. 🤞
If you guys master the camera and sight line issue in this app and it can take audio from my wireless Bluetooth mics, you’ve got a slam dunk winner.

Teleprompter x has worked well for the simple things I do. It is a fully competent field prompter app, and has a lot of capability I haven’t even touched on yet.
Looking forward to using it for the upcoming football season.
