Today was my first time trying Coconote and I was using the free trial. I set it to record and at the end of the sermon, I clicked to SAVE. The whole app crashed and it saved nothing. The sermon was lost. This happened to my friend who tried the same thing. Coconote crashed and she lost the sermon too. Love the idea but what a risk to record and then lose everything! Please help fix. Next time, I will not trust Coconote but VoiceRecord and later play back that recording because losing it all is the worst.

Tried to record a whole 15 minute lecture and it saved 10 seconds after I pressed ‘stop’. Then I tried to do another class and wouldn’t even let me record again because I have to pay. People use AI and then still charge you because they made it do a cool thing. Kind of disappointing I’ll try it again to see if it works.

I took meeting notes for two of my meetings today. When the meetings concluded, I attempted to save the recording, but the file failed to save. To seek assistance, I filled out the "Contact Us" form, but I have not received any response. I am starting to feel frustrated and believe that I am not receiving the full value of my paid subscription.

I asked this app to transcribe a 3 1/2 hour lecture and it basically just gave the high points and example would be it just said that the guest speaker spoke about the cosmological argument, but he didn’t give what the cosmological argument was nor any evidence at all. It’s basically a useless app at this point unless someway of getting more in depth notes. It’s a ChatGPT product obviously based on the notes and it’s if you use ChatGPT, you understand you’ll ask ChatGPT for something in depth, chat, GPT limits or governs the amount of information created very disappointed

I purchased this through my own appleid to share with my dyslexic daughter through family sharing. Coconote should be able to be shared, the developer just says to contact them directly and they will send instructions. I contacted the developer multiple times with no response. I purchased the year subscription so am now out $100 and my daughter can only use a device signed in to my account- which is the ipad I need for work.

Coconote is unreal. I’m so excited by about school now! The only thing that’s missing is an audio feature. If it had audio it would be perfect! Audio for notes, for quiz, for flash cards etc. And make it so that the audio is continuous so that I don’t have to press next on each flashcard. It would be amazing if I could voice respond on the quiz! I’m a busy mom and sometimes I only have time to listen. Please add audio! The audio also needs a speed option. Also! I want the option of creating a 2nd and 3rd quiz! One quiz is not enough for me.
Also an option button to make a few Mnemonics.
Will update my review if updates are added.

Really like Coconote . Last week when I tried it , it allowed for copy paste. So I purchased. However, don’t like that I’m not able to copy and paste the notes outside Coconote . As a student there are items that aren’t captured in the recording like diagrams or web links that by being able to move to a document these items can be added in. Every other AI platform has a copy feature. Please put this back in.

This is genius! How I wished Coconote worked. This is such a great app but it does not deliver. I see what the developers are trying to do but it needed more peer review before rolling out. It converts you tube videos to other languages and I had to convert to English. The quiz answers differ, e.g says answer is B but points to C. I hope the developers can get this resolved because the concept is great! Also the only things available during my trial were 3 media related uploads. I didn’t have access to copy and paste my notes or upload a PDF or word doc. Is that in development or was unavailable during trial?

I like Coconote overall; it works quite well for lectures with professors, even those who have accents. However, I dislike the pricing model; doubling the cost for each decrease in the payment cycle is absurd. I understand that a monthly plan might cost more per month than an annual plan, but it shouldn’t be more than twice the cost per month. Additionally, I don’t think the trial period provides enough time to decide if you like Coconote before having to pay a lot of money to continue, only to possibly find out that you don’t like it after all.
Conclusion: I unfortunately will not be continuing use of Coconote but I think for many students this is a great resource if you ignore the pricing structure.
Clarification the price is fair in my opinion I just don’t like the extreme increase from model to model.

I think Coconote is great and all but I didn’t like that when I recorded a two hour lecture only a few notes (not even a page) maybe around half a page of notes were recorded. I didn’t like that at all because I know there was definitely more notes. please fix this and I will definitely be using Coconote more often!!

I really like the general overview and layout that makes up the note however Coconote overall can be better. I like that it automatically makes a title for the note, it splits it up into sections/topics.

1. I see that now you can download the recording which is nice becuase one of my notes wasnt complete and you could tell got cut off so I will try to reupload.

2. It would be amazing if you could click on a bullet within the note and it takes you to that particular part in the recording so you can relisten. There is technology that can do this as notablity has this feature.

3. Customize the amount of flashcards or quiz questions that are made.

4. Folders to organize the various subjects/classes

5. Be able to print directly from Coconote instead of having to copy and paste into a document which messes up the format to the note.

6. Be able to record from your laptop and not just your phone!!! I have to record certain techniques which disrupts my recording since I can only use my phone to record.

7. Be able to upload powerpoints / word documents and notes like when recording.

I tried Coconote on a free trial. The notes were great and I even had my son try it since he’s in college. We both agreed it was pretty good so I spent the chunk of change on a family plan. Well I don’t know why I didn’t notice before but I can’t record if I have my headphones on! I usually wear them when I’m in meetings, they help me focus. Dang thing won’t record. I reached out to support. NO RESPONSE. Since I spent $179 I expected at least a response.

So if you are thinking about purchasing Coconote please keep that in mind! I’m very disappointed.

I would really like to see two features added: the ability to organize notes by class subject with folders, and the ability to re-generate the notes summary. I’ve only been able to use Coconote once so far, but when I did, I think Coconote lost connection while it was saving my recording. Thankfully I didn’t lose the entire lecture (thank you for adding those features) but the entire 1 hour 40 minute long transcript is intact, and the notes generated by Coconote only covered a small fraction of everything we went over.

Having just paid $99.99 for a subscription, I hope I come to like Coconote better than I currently do, because I currently don’t feel it’s worth that. But, as a current student, that amount of money is really hard for me to come by, so my review may be a little biased in that regard.

Would be even more helpful if we could upload or attach voice recordings that were not done with Coconote for the transcription and notes and not have to go through YouTube.

If it’s a long lecture, do not use it. I’ve recorded a couple lectures that were 2-3 hours and it can’t take in that much information and make quality notes. I recommend take the information and doing 3-4 recordings of long lectures and the quality of notes goes up.

The quizzes and note cards are nice quality checks. One problem I have though is it only generates one quiz and one set of flash cards. I wish it could generate more than one quiz to truly test all the information that Coconote takes in. Paying for the subscription and getting one quiz per recording is kind of silly.

Just a heads up for anyone else in an academic situation. This is a solid app to give you an “outline”. If you’re using it for meetings or something simple, you should be ok. If you’re hoping for a detailed transcription it won’t do it. The transcription it fits provide has zero punctuation, often includes words that are completely different than what was actually said. An hour lecture provided me with less detail than the PowerPoint slides. I was hoping for so much more. And exporting the notes is a nightmare with formatting. Given how expensive it is, I don’t recommend it if you’re in an academic setting.

Needs a way to feed it a document other than audio (aka PDF, Word XML, etc), 4. Needs a way to mass select notes for export or delete. 5. Needs folders to subdivide the notes 6. Needs a way to utilize my iCloud storage rather than your server storage for privacy concerns once the information has been processed by your server. 7. Needs to store the data on iCloud in regular folders with regular file types in a structure that this app can interpret and is usable via the Files app or the Finder.

Coconote is incredible and such a time saver. Having lecture transcript is so nice to refer back to. The flash cards and quizzes created are accurate and very thorough. I would love if Coconote could let me organize notes. When I use this for more than one class it becomes confusing to find content. Even utilizing the course name as a filter could be helpful.

Soo I have a question. With the free version, do you only get one note? That’s what Coconote is doing for me. I have a review before, and at that time (when I had just downloaded Coconote ) it had let me make at least two. I’m not sure what’s happening, kinda confused. But I did still rate Coconote a four because of the note taking ability and quiz.

I love using this app for my AP European history class, my teacher makes videos that are really hard to follow but they cover all the material he will cover in class the next day and i find this app INCREDIBLY helpful because i cannot read his handwriting on the board and I'm a visual learner!!! I especially love that the AI doesn't add anything that sounds very much like AI to the notes like chat gpt would. HOWEVER, I really don't like how you cannot scan a document or input a file for it to make into notes. Yes, there are other programs that can do that, but I think with the amount of money I paid for the unlimited notes, It should be included. I don't want to pay for another subscription for something that should already be a feature in this app! PLEASE consider this for the next update I am BEGGING!!

I use this every day and I love it however it needs tweaking. Sometimes it does not download the note if the screen times out. If I receive a phone call, it will not take the note. i’m very busy person and I receive phone calls all the time. Sometimes I need these notes to re-summarise. There have been a couple of times where I had a meeting and the most important note was deleted. I obviously keep my own notes but it hurt pretty bad. Other than that, it’s a great concept and it does work but it needs improvement. I would love to record even though I receive interruptions like phone calls or screen time out. When I created a new folder and it did not take the note, it did not save. if these could be fixed, then I would give it eight stars if possible. I would still recommend downloading Coconote it does help.

I used the free trial and it was absolutely perfect for my history class. The only reason this is not getting 5 stars is because of the fact you have to pay yearly. 100 dollars is a lot to pay at once and for a broke college kid I can not give up 100 dollars for a year when I will not use it the whole year. I feel as if you were to offer the monthly plan at a slightly more expensive price like 10-12 bucks more people would be willing to spend that money a month then a whole lump sum at once.

I saw an ad for Coconote on Instagram and I was skeptical but decided to download. I must say I am amazed at what Coconote can do. I have been studying for my cardiovascular board exam and found the task of making study guides and flash cards overwhelming and daunting. Now I don’t have to do either I just have to study what was created!

This is a studying game changer!

Suggestions:

I wish that we could create folders. Right now I have a long list of notes but it would be nice if I could create folders based on topic. It would also be nice if there was a search function. It would also be nice if we could upload more than one file at a time using the web version. Uploading one at a time slows things down.

Would also be nice if we could print the study guides or save them as a pdf.

Otherwise please don’t delete Coconote it’s wonderful!

UPDATE: The reliability has been FAR BETTER since the recent updates to Coconote . Have had zero issues saving the content I was recording. Thanks for the improvements!

I’ve tried using Coconote several times. Sometimes it takes but mostly it does not. It just gives a failure notice. By no means would I just rely on Coconote to capture what you need to. Def take your own notes if the event is important.

Absolutely fantastic app but would be better with a few tweets. 1. an option to create folders to organize lecture notes by subject 2. add a search feature so you can search key words within the notes 3. fix flash card generator..flash cards generated with longer answers are not fully displayed on the screen, cutting off parts of the answer making it arbitrary.

I was about to write a review about being able to ask questions about your notes and then saw that there was an update just for that! But still, I would like to be able to ask things about all my notes not just 1 by 1.
Otterbox does this for me but I hate there layout on the website and app, so I was giving Coconote a try.
It is expensive! Hopefully there will be a loyal customer discount for people he keep purchasing year after year please.

At first I was a bit upset at the price range of this product, I was too busy at the time to even realize how much potential of a product this is, this could potentially be used anywhere, and it’s really good especially if it’s run by only two people. I feel bad honestly for what I have said about Coconote, it’s great for those that can afford it and what I’ve been hearing is that they’re working on the prices for it. The future for this group who work on Coconote is looking pretty good.

Have been using Coconote for about a week or so and really have enjoyed the time it’s saved me on taking notes so that I can stay engaged with the lecture conversation. It gets a little redundant sometimes, but overall does a great job. One thing that would be helpful is that when I move a note to a folder that it removes it from the homepage, so that I don’t have to scroll thru all notes to see which ones I have filed or not filed. Hope that makes sense and if possible, that would be great. Thanks for a great app!

I love Coconote . I did the one week free trial and I love all of the features. Unfortunately though I can’t afford Coconote . I’m already a broke college student who barely has time to work. It would be really cool though if there was a payment option that was like $9.99/ per month instead of per week and you could do like $1.99/per week in place of the $9.99 if you want or you could take it out.

I am a teacher, and I absolutely love Coconote! It is a one stop shop for everything I need to record my lessons, provide notes, and even give quizzes over my content.
When I first used Coconote , I couldn’t download my audio note. I emailed for assistance, and I received a timely, personalized response that immediately solved my problem. The email was even from the actual creator of Coconote ! I 100% recommend Coconote for teachers and college students. It is worth every penny.

this app has been a game-changer for me when it comes to keeping up with notes from lectures, meetings, or even my favorite sermons. As I grow older, I find it harder to stay on top of note-taking, but Coconote has helped me immensely. I've especially appreciated how it has allowed me to grow in my faith through the summaries it creates from the faith teachings I listen to. The Spanish translation feature is also incredibly accurate and has been a great help.

The download to use the trial was easy, and after viewing the exceptional results of a brief portion of a meeting, I was sold. I then shared it with my husband and he immediately thought of several ways in which he could utilize Coconote. WOW! This is the tool my brain wishes it would have had a decade ago😉

I downloaded and started the 7 day trial as a test to see if I wanted to purchase for my college-aged son. I recorded a meeting at work and the notes were better than I have ever taken myself. Unfortunately, I forgot to unsubscribe and the annual purchase posted to my account. I messaged the developer and he responded promptly and allowed me to transfer my account to my son’s phone. It was a seamless process and communication was always responsive and helpful. Now to decide if I purchase myself a license. My boss would vote yes.

I love Coconote so much!!! I use it for my anatomy class to have more summarized notes from the lecture as well as the notes I took. It condenses and summarizes the info perfectly to where it’s much less overwhelming to study. It also makes the flash cards and quizzes for me, which have been so helpful in studying!! In my opinion it’s totally worth the money because it is such a helpful tool, and it’s only 8.99 a month. I’m willing to pay that even as a broke college student because it’s so helpful!

With the world changing as fast as it is, I am finding being the HitL (Human in the Loop) is more and more advantageous than ever. Tool like this app make life just a little bit easier as I cram multiple meetings, webinars, and in-person interviews into my calendar. I know the ads are aimed at college students, but this is a great way to help keep you conversations from just about any meeting or lecture or whatever recorded and have the brief-notes at the ready! Super cool world we live in. I will say Coconote is not great about picking up every little tidbit, however with a full transcript and recording available it sure is an easy reference tool!

As a mom and busy nursing student, I need every bit of help I can get to keep up and Coconote is a life saver for studying! I love that I can record my lectures then it creates a full transcript (accurately) and create an outline of what the lecture covered. The flash cards and practice quizzes I can generate with a single tap are perfect! I’ve been telling my teens, their friend’s’ parents and all my classmates about Coconote since the first day I used it. I’m stingy at about buying apps but bought a year of access before my free trial was even done and plan to buy the family one for my teens next year when they are in college.

First off, let me say that I am not one for leaving reviews. That being said, Coconote is honestly changing my life. I have dyslexia, and it reeks havoc in my profession. I am very intelligent, but have difficulties listening and understanding when I am in meetings when I am required to take true and accurate meeting minutes. Coconote is a lifesaver. I am in an average of 4 to 6 meetings a day that I have to take meeting minutes for and this saves me so much time. My old course of action was to record each meeting and then go back and listen to them to be able to accurately document what was said. Now, I don’t have to do that. From the absolute bottom of my heart, thank you to the developers of this app!!! I love my job again ❤️

I just purchased this item for $99! I recorded 35min of a lecture and when saving, Coconote crashed and I lost my entire recording. Please help recommend what to do. I purchased this just to record lectures… please help… thank you!!

As someone that has ADHD and auditory processing disorder I struggle to write notes and pay attention especially when asked questions. I’ve always recorded lectures but it’s only helps to a certain extent
During class I still write down notes but more for certain things like images as I am in medical school. With Coconote it will help me study and even creates quizzes and flash cards which is a great help.

I was so interested after seeing the ads on instagram but honestly thought was it worth the $$$?
It is worth it!!!

My son is in a 4 year dual enrollment program as a freshman in high school. He has ADHD combined type and ASD. Focusing and taking notes are hard for him. Even though some teachers allow him to record a lecture, it is still a struggle not being an auditory learner.

I have spent hours upon hours writing my own notecards and quizzes for him over the years. Coconote does it all! It also does it better than I ever did. We love it.

He still has to put in hours of work but this makes all the effort easier and we can see a big difference in his retention of information. Coconote support email team is fast and helpful. We are so thankful.

Wonderful teaching tool. More and more IEP’s say teacher shares lecture notes with student. I am 20 years in. I can lecture off the top of my head on most topics. That mandate was a mess and a burden. Now I just turn this baby on and my notes are created. I can also make a quick quiz with Coconote.

I’m studying for nursing and Coconote as truly made a difference in recording my lectures and putting them into notes that is easy to understand and to follow. It has help cut down my study time with all the fluff and gets to the high lighted parts! I am beyond thankful that I found Coconote and gave it a try!

I started a new job and I need help with lingo and different terminology and Coconote helped me understand so much. After using about 4 apps that were terrible. I’m only on the free trial and I can already see how beneficial it is. I have a hard time paying attention and keeping track of things but Coconote as a AI note taker, it’s going to do numbers in the future once it becomes more popular. Hopefully it will be across all app stores for all devices soon.

Takes accurate notes, then will make flash cards and quizzes to help you remember what you learned in the lecture / talk. Totally worth the price. Worked perfectly the first time I used it, have had no problems since.

The notes they give are very accurate and clear to understand. You will need to mess with Coconote to see all the different things it can do. But once you get the hang of it you will love it:)

Fantastic at transcribing lectures, would like to have an option where it gave a more detailed summary of the lecture. More in depth bullet points. After reading the transcription there is a lot it glosses over but I am still very impressed with it’s accuracy and ability!

Really, coconut has been life-changing in terms of notetaking and summaries. I am the designated secretary for my group and it just allows me to focus more on what’s being said, rather than writing it down. I can be more participatory in the meetings and it does a pretty good job of summarizing what was said. The transcript is Sandy to so that I can go back to it highly recommend, and I have!
