Can't identify plants. Such as crab grass and Birch trees.

I have taken pictures of allllllll my plants twice and nothing loads and no pictures and it makes me very very upset.

PlantOn frequently misidentified the plants but worse, when you take a pic to diagnose issues, it says there isn’t a plant in the picture EVERY TIME, EVERY PLANT.

Does not identify well. Plus, I had the pro version and it reverted back to the free version and won’t let me restore my purchase.

Just down loaded, haven't tested it on ID / naming plants as yet.
Can't find a saved item to review.
Needs work based on other reviews and comments.

Does not work on iPhone 15 Pro with ios 17.5.1. App keeps asking if I want to “go Pro.” My App version is Pro but I always have to restore. App is terribly slow to populate screen with info to determine a plant’s type. App will not load photo taken into PlantOn ’s “My Plants” section after plant identity has been saved. Worse yet, there is No Way to contact the people who made PlantOn to report issues.

Installed PlantOn twice because it keeps crashing once I try to set up automated reminders. Also missing back buttons on the page when suggested plant name comes up. Once it crashes PlantOn won’t open anymore no matter how many times I try. Only if I reinstall it, but then does the same once it crashes again.

to be a great app, if it would work. It is supposed to work on my phone, but “my plants” icons only spin, never loading.

There’s no way to back out if the photo result is inaccurate, had to create an fake space to hold all inaccuracies which were a lot. Told me an onion plant was Aloe Vera. It needs a back button. Hoping it will be improved sooner rather than later.

I grow carnivorous plants, so I was happy to see that the first little tip that popped up had to do with Venus fly traps. I was not so happy to see that it said “there are plants that eat animals”. They eat insects, meat of any kind will rot the trap and possibly cause mold. I sincerely hope that the rest of the info is more correct than that is, because I don’t want to kill the succulents that I recently got.

Second issue that I’ve run into is the camera (I’m using a 14 pro). I have some Venus fly traps that are small, and the camera would not focus on something that close.

Also, it thought my spoonleaf sundew was a cape sundew. Capes have much longer traps than spoonleafs.

Had the pro lifetime purchase and app goes back to wanting to have you obtain pro again, the restore purchase option is grayed out and does not work, as well as the one in the menu. Doesn't even try, get no app store message of success or not. It wasn't all that accurate to begin with, usually would have to take the same thing about 3 or 4 times each one a different result before you can look up a second opinion/ verify what its backend was suggesting before you get a decent result. And worse is not ever going to be fixed as the developers send their canned message saying all the issues are fixed. So won't be any updates then, nothing even to update its now perfect, or a lie. One or the other!

Unfortunately not restore correctly and work as demo

Took this out for a test run today. Scanned about a dozen plants. Got about 40% accuracy. It’s say it does 98%. It’s a geranium not a begonia. It’s a blueberry bush not hibiscus syriaca. The leaves are not anywhere closely similar. Even got no plant in photo. There’s a plant in the photo. Hoping it will get better with updates.
Also, photos don’t show up in app. You just get the loading symbol. Three stars is the best I can give.

I like PlantOn , but beware. I got a lifetime subscription and now they say I have to pay again. Due to this I am now deleting.

It doesn’t seem to accurately identify a lot of plants. I took a picture of my Rose Campion (which I know is Rose Campion, but it identified it as something else that I have never heard of. There are several plants that I took pictures of and consistently got a pop up saying that there was no plant detected and to retake the picture. I changed angles multiple times and tried again but got the same pop up. I also tried searching for plants by typing in a name and selection filter options. When I click on Show Matches, nothing pops up. The screen stays blank. I’m not finding PlantOn to be user friendly at all. But perhaps I am not using it correctly. 🤷‍♀️

I live in the city and have a small balcony garden. PlantOn has been super helpful in identifying the various flowers I've been growing.
