The old app worked great. This new app does not even connect to my grow lights. Just says “unable to connect to the server”. I also tried pairing my lights again, and that did not work either (despite seeing them as options).

Why make a new app if it’s worse ? Will not be buying any more grow lights from them.

AeroGarden is more of a marketing tool than a useful tool. First login tries to give you a discount to get you to buy more product just a glorified web app buried in what appears to be something useful. AeroGarden works for what you need but focus is way too much on trying to get you to buy more product. Lose the marketing and AeroGarden will be a lot better.

Overall there seems to be some miscommunication between AeroGarden and my Farms. I find myself needing to use buttons on the Farms to turn lights off or adjust settings- seems to defeat the purpose of having an app to control these things. Hopeful these bugs will get fixed because the previous app worked nicely and was helpful.

New app looks nice and functioned well for a few days but this evening all I see is a message that it can’t connect to “the server”.

Why do I need to connect to a server to turn lights off and on?

Not liking the new upgrade so far. It’s not as intuitive as the previous version….items on AeroGarden are not well organized for ease of use. One thing I do like, being able to go directly to AG website directly from AeroGarden .

New app can’t access my garden. I want my old app back. I don’t want to give my phone number for your data collection. Without creating a new account and logging in through your new app, my this app is useless. AeroGarden will be the reason why I never give another this app as a gift.

The new app is just an attempt to grab more user data.

Same issue as previous reviewer. Does not change light height on a Farm Plus.
Terrible app. Give me back the old app. That worked!

The old app was working fine and should still be available until AeroGarden is working properly.
It messed up my settings .
I have to log in almost every time i open AeroGarden .
I don’t like that i have to log in to the this app cloud to use AeroGarden .

I’ve deleted AeroGarden and will do without until the bugs are worked out.
The new app looks good but the old app was good enough and worked flawlessly. I liked the landscape mode also.
Please fix these issues and i will update my review.

I tried to use this with a “Farm” and it does not even work to turn the lights on and off. I am not looking forward to checking what else does not work…

Scott is replacing an app that works with one that doesn’t. Absolutely the worst!!!

It won’t let you use the old app anymore and when you try to set up the new one it says “garden already claimed” I bought this brand new, not used. Both the old and new app are complete garbage.

Everything work fine until the new app.Now I cannot connect to the WiFi or login if it isn’t broken don’t fix it!!!

I own three farm units and cannot connect to any of them. Worse, now I can’t use the old version which worked just fine. Every time I go to it, the only thing allowed is to download the new version. It can’t even read the bar code correctly. Hopefully someone at this app will see this and take immediate action.

The new app doesn’t seem to do push notifications when the garden needs attention. It also makes me manually log in every time I reopen it.

The old app was buggy but this one just feels like a bad beta build…

New app sounds promising, but doesn’t allow transfer from AG WiFi app or adding as a new garden. Frustrating. Please post detailed instructions how to get it to accept codes. Old app had no difficulty but new app doesn’t function.

I can’t enter my gardens in AeroGarden as it says they already exist. I can’t find them in this new app. Useless right now.

I downloaded AeroGarden and was unable to add my products. I receive an error that says my product is already registered. That makes this new app useless unless your product is brand new.

I haven’t been able to use the old app for over a year so I decided to try the new one and still the same issues remain. Still can’t login to my account, never receive a reset email, also won’t allow me to create a new account with a different email address. Even using sign with Apple fails. As a former software developer this is unacceptable but I guess it’s not a priority for this app.

I downloaded the updated app today and am very disappointed. I cannot raise or lower the lights on my Farm 24 from AeroGarden . It does not respond. It is on the island in my kitchen and I use AeroGarden because the controls on the garden are too high for me to see without clumping up on the counter. I can turn the lights on and off with AeroGarden but that's it.

For my Bounty Elite- it only gives me the option to adjust the light cycle for vacation mode.

I'll take the old app over this be any day.

There’s no option to stay logged in. I have had to log in it I don’t use AeroGarden for a while.

One of the great features of the this app was AeroGarden integration that sent notifications to my phone or tablet when it was time to add food or water. Since AeroGarden “upgrade” these features no longer exist. I’ve run my garden empty so many times because I no longer get notifications. All AeroGarden does is send out solicitations to buy more AeroGardens. It’s truly worthless.

I found the updated app while starting a new garden and was happy to see a brand new interface. Also happy that I don’t have to hold my phone sideways to use AeroGarden ! This version provides a lot more information than the old one did and generally seems nicer. Light/dark mode which I just noticed is a plus.

However, every time I tap the icon on the home screen, I am presented first with the screen from the old app and then it quickly switches to a screen with a download option. I have to tap that to move on. It sends me to AeroGarden Store, then I have to open AeroGarden . Those extra steps are annoying and that’s one reason I did not give AeroGarden a higher rating. But this version is definitely a big step in the right direction!

Ever since the new app, my pumps are not running. The planter will not update the number days planted or update to the plant food days. My tomatoes are starting to wilt and die. Super frustrating (and expensive).

Really love the ability to manage my farm XL’s on my phone in portrait finally! Great job folks.

All the functions seem to work. I haven’t had any problems yet after a couple of days.

I noticed on AeroGarden Store that this particular version of the this app works only on the iPhone. My question is, can we use the old version of AeroGarden on our iPads and enjoy that landscape experience with our AeroGardens! 😊

I only have one this app thing so far (a Stem light) so the interface changes didn’t affect me much. However, it now has a recommendation for the lighting timer, and possibly since I named the device “succulents” in the previous app it figures I need 10 hours instead of 8. Still not taking advantage of the full iPad screen, though.

Nice job on the new app, it’s much easier to use than the old app and portrait mode is a much welcomed change! App works great! Thanks! 👍👍

I just downloaded the new app for my Farm and Bounty Gardens and what a huge difference. The ability to change the amount of time for the lights and the intensity, along with the duration of sunrise and sunset is soooo much easier to do now. It’s much clearer in navigation and you don’t have to have your phone oriented in a certain manner in order to look at anything.
The only fault I can see at this point is the login screen. When I was typing in my password, the page kept getting a popup and it would move my screen to the bottom, which can be a real pain if you’re trying to see what you are typing in. But this isn’t so bad that I felt it needed to lose a star.
I am very impressed! Bravo this app!!!
