Amazing Potential But Too Limited and Way Too Expensive

2024-03-12

I am a huge fan of the Atomic Habits book. I have been hoping that James Clear would create his own app for years. His development team have made a good looking, intuitive and potentially helpful app. However, limiting users to only three habits is frankly a non-starter. I understand the thought behind setting fewer habits to increase your chance of success but many users have been employing James systems for years and want to be able to track more habits.

And, quite frankly, the price for a subscription is way too high. Atoms is being priced at a similar price tag as things like Apple Music, and or video streaming platforms that will be used hours a day. those apps manage to make a profit, even though the cost that they must pay to content providers is immense and maintaining those platforms is incredibly complex and expensive. I understand the value too investing in yourself but, quite frankly, I can do more with a pencil and paper than this Apple allow me to do, and it cost me nothing.

I love a potential of Atoms, and will check back in the future to see if the price and feature set improve. I am hopeful that James will make this tool more accessible to average people by either lowering the subscription price or at least making it a one time purchase.

How is pressing one button worth $10 a month

2024-07-23

This is one of the simplest apps I have ever seen. You make a habit based of the book atomic habits and press a button every time you do it. Occasionally it will prompt you for your thoughts on progress. There’s a mindset section with quotes from the book too.

Fine. Then, if you want to have more than one button, you have to pay $10 a month. What? And even at that you’re limited to 6? If you’re argument is that you also basically get the book atomic habits with Atoms, then my counter argument is how much is the actual book? Oh - it’s a one time fee of $10, the one month subscription price of Atoms.

Atoms is a clear and blatant cash grab. It’s as simple as that. If Atoms costs $5 or even $10 for a lifetime license or download that’s different. Atoms is very nearly a single button, with some quotes from a book that was already written. All respect is gone for the author of the book who is clearly just in this for money.

Pretty, but limited and expensive

2024-08-31

After reading the book and finding it extremely helpful, I suppose my expectations for Atoms were too high. But yes… it’s objectively limited, expensive and doesn’t even truly matches the objective of the book. At some level if feels like the author is monetizing on his fame… good old capitalism, I guess.

So it’s expensive. VERY expensive. My mobile plan in Europe is cheaper than Atoms. Even Netflix is. And I don’t mind paying for something that’s worth it, but Atoms sure isn’t.

Take for example the habits you can track. Six! Yes… S.I.X. You want to cultivate a different habit each weekday? Nope…. You’ll be missing one day. The habit tracker template on JC website has almost 20 habits. And it’s free!

Moreover, the way habits are formulated are limited and incongruous with the book. They have to follow a format of “I’ll do X at Y, to become Z”. No Habit Stacking, no breaking a habit, no other cue managing, no nothing. You get that format and that’s all.

Besides that, the other functionalities, like the quotes and the community, feel so lacking and underdeveloped that I might be better off by asking a chatbot to motivate me.

Yes, it’s pretty and it welcomes you with shiny animations but how Atoms has a 4.8 stars review just baffles me. Go to Reddit and read the reviews, they’re as critical as mine, if not worse.

ONLY THREE HABITS IN PRO!?

2024-08-31

Update: They went from 3 to 6 habits for pro at $100+/yr?! That’s your fix? Absolutely not. Deleted.

STOP THE PRESSES… Atoms was going to change my life, but I can only have a max of three habits?! At the $100/yr pro level!?! I’m HEARTBROKEN! We gotta figure this out friends because your ADHD girl needs help with basic habits—not just something I wanna “add to my routine” for funsies—I’m trying to start a healthy routine of many, many habits!! 😭💔 Original Review: PROS: I’ve only been using Atoms for two days (it just launched), but I can already tell it’s going to be a game changer in my life! Unlike other “productivity apps”, I can feel the science and teachings of Atomic Habits behind this. I can already feel it working. As a person with ADHD, the accountability partner area is genius! It gives a continuous “body doubling” aspect to Atoms to keep me motivated and connected with friends who also struggle with habits/getting things done! CONS/THOUGHTS: I know Atoms just launched, and it’s early days… but I’d love to see the widget enhanced. I wish we could give our habits a “shortcut name” to maybe fit better in the widget area? Right now I only have two habits, but I know I’ll be adding others. I’m hoping all of my habits will fit/display.

Still only 1 habit allowed

2024-03-06

I’ve updated, logged out and logged in, and still only allowed to use 1 habit. I was a beta tester and 3 felt low. Not to mention nowhere in Atoms to visualize or build habit stacking. But 1 is just strange. And $17/month to upgrade? Yikes.

Update: oh my gosh, I thought the bug fix meant all users can have 3 habits (and I assumed pro could have more) - that felt so obvious to me. Why would anyone use a free app that only lets you track one habit? And why would anyone pay $120 for an app that only lets you track 3? So I assumed they took that feedback and updated free to allow 3 habits. But no. They updated it so the pro users can make 3 habits right away rather than having to have a few-day streak before creating a new one. Big whoop. That’s not the flaw here. lol.

Too expensive

2024-02-25

Cool app, seems like it could be helpful, but not at $17 a month. I can create all sorts of habit notifications for less than that and buy Atomic Habits the book for everything else with the remaining money.

Opening the menu >> help and support section also froze Atoms .

Doesn’t work

2024-02-25

Can’t get passed either first two actions: creating an account or making the first habit

Doesn’t work

2024-02-25

I want it to work but it doesn’t.

Not Worth What It Costs

2024-03-23

I gave Atoms two stars not because I had any problems using it, but because the Pro version is far too expensive for what you get. I had Atoms for two weeks and had access to the free Pro version trial for the two weeks I used Atoms .

A) If I want a reminder to practice a habit, I can just set a repeating calendar reminder on my phone (completely free). Atoms would need to have significant functionality beyond tracking a habit to be worth paying for the Pro version. Maybe I didn't use Atoms long enough to discover more functions, but it seems as though the only other useful functions Atoms provides are the ability to select an accountability partner, access to daily tips (see next comment), and a self-evaluation function.

B) All or most of the articles and tips included with Atoms can be found on Clear's website or in the Atomic Habits book. Yes, Atoms makes it easier and faster to access the information; however, having the information slightly more accessible is not saving me $120 a year.

I personally think that Atoms would only be worth paying around $25/year, based on how much my time is worth. Currently, Atoms seems to be catering to an elitist crowd.

Cost way too high

2024-04-14

This is cool, anyone who has read the book and tried its teachings knows that it’s effective yet hard to keep going. Atoms is a nice 2 minutes a day of good Atomic Habits energy and tracking. Way more effective than trying to remember to read his newsletter email.

I just can’t believe the price. It’s insane. On a monthly basis it’s as much as Disney+ or Netflix. These are multi-billion dollar businesses and they spend millions on content each year. Is this app going to spend millions on content?

It’s should have been like $2-$3/month and they’d gave waaaaaay more people signing up for pro. Honestly, even if someone feels like the book changed their life so they feel obligated to pay the upfront $120 for the full year, there’s no way they resign up next year, and the whole year they can’t believe they paid that much.

Great app but disappointed

2024-02-25

I LOVED Atomic Habits, reading it kicked off my self improvement journey and I find myself going back to the book whenever I’m in a slump. Atoms is a perfect way to make the concepts actionable but at a hefty price of over $100 a year!! If you think you can make your habits stick in one month or less then this is for you, otherwise expect to spend money for features you can get on other habit tracking apps for free. Love Atoms design and concept, but really disappointed in the pay wall for an app meant to elevate your life.

Mediocre at best

2024-02-27

If you have read the book then there is no need for you to waste your money. For the $200 a year plan billed monthly or even the $10 plus dollars a month if billed annually, it just isn’t worth it. There are some nice reminders in there but again most of it is directly from the book. The frustrating part is that you can’t even do more than three habits. I have been using it for over three weeks now and feel like I already got everything I can out of it. Not worth it so I will be deleting my account.

Doesn’t work

2024-02-25

Tried it on two iPhones. Can’t get past the third step in the process. Frustrating

Great Idea, low impact.

2024-03-24

I’m sure Atoms could help a lot of people! It’s well designed in the way it prompts you with knowledge and mindset facts as you create the habit through the UI.

Sadly though if you have more than 1 habit and want to use it, you’ll be committing to $100+ a year. To me that’s insanely excessive for an app to track and improve habits - though I can see the dev has continued to respond with all the other frills of Atoms , which is great for those who can afford and desire it. But for just a habit tracker that price is steep.

It seems allowing even just 3-4 habits on the free version, or offering a lower paid tier would improve the apps total impact by increasing accessibility to those people that can’t quite afford that high yearly cost, but want to make a life change.

Confused

2024-09-12

Hi my friend set Atoms up for me as I support many people in life changes as coach. He added two habits I do frequently and am incorporating into my life. I just opened it for the first time since he set it up and because I missed the intro it isn’t actually clear to me how this “logs” my action. Is it because I opened it? Do I touch something? I also can’t go back and add the last 10 days of the habit now that I am actually ready to engage with Atoms . I can go back one day - I am guessing this is intentional and makes sense- create the habit of using Atoms !
There could be more clarity or basic instruction which would capture people who may be tentative users at the go and need a reminder of how to do basic things to get them
Involved and going. I looked here on Atoms Store to see if there were instructions for this very basic part of using Atoms and I can’t find it. Hopefully I’ll take the time to come back tomorrow to see if I can figure it out - but that is a quick way to loose the very short attention span of most people. Thanks!!

Could be great

2024-09-12

When creating a habit, I noticed that you cannot create a habit that does not have a specific time. To me this is a huge limitation since sometimes part of habits do not occur at a specific time. I liked the features for reporting and the easy navigation of UI; however, setting up habits that are tied to a specific time limits the usefulness of Atoms in a big way. A lot of our habits occur because we crave something. For example, I am most like to use social media when I sit down on my couch with my phone, I do not see how I can build a habit around this with assigning it a specific time. The ‘when’ of this habit is when I sit down and feel bored, it does not occur at a specific time each day. I also feel like replacing bad habits could be improved. Currently, it is structured the same way as a ‘good’ habit. I’d love to see some more of the advice that’s given in the book about habit stacking implemented in Atoms and so far I’m just not seeing all of the things that are discussed in the book as items that are actionable in Atoms .

Not a good habit to pay subscription fees

2024-09-12

Atoms has great user experience and I love the way it builds up and vibrates when you complete a goal. This is very rewarding and provides a great feedback loop, genius idea. The worst part about Atoms is that you get a free trial and THEN IT restricts your use.

Most other apps will start you off with limited features and allow you to upgrade to more features, not give you features and then limit you to just one unless you upgrade.

I don’t mind paying a one time fee, I don’t mind there being ads, but I bought the book and move it, I don’t think Atoms does enough to warrant $60/year! Seems like a bad habit to get into to pay $60 or more a year for a phone app. Especially if one of your habits you want to form is to spend less time on your phone or be better at budgeting.

A bite-sized version of the book

2024-06-06

This is the perfect every day app for someone who hasn’t read Atomic Habits! I absolutely love Clear’s book and his weekly newsletter. Atoms is a great introduction into his world. It’s immensely satisfying, easy to navigate, and I loved the perusal of the “mindset” tidbits. My favorite aspect is the Daily Habit!

I will say: I don’t think it’s worth $120 to track only three habits. The information included is really awesome, but I have already read his book. Instead, I’ll refer back to the book I already have instead of $120 annually.

What I suggest is a lower price point for the current offering, or more accessibility featured with the $120. I would pay no more than $60 annually for the current version. For $120 I would expect to be able to track many habits, mindset tidbits by other professionals in the field, the inclusion of the book into Atoms (kind of like the Bible app where you can do other stuff AND flip through the book on one tab), something similar along those lines.

Overall I think it’s a wonderful app to have on my phone, but I’ll probably continue at the free level after my trial!

Great concept, needs some flexibility

2024-05-07

I’m really liking Atoms so far, especially for the template on writing a habit and all the great tips/reminders coming from the book. However, I would like the ability to mark a habit as completed on other past days, not just the one previous day. Also, it would be great to separate out the habit frequency choice into one part that’s about how often you want to do the habit (like 3 days per week) and another part that’s about when you would like a reminder (like MWF at 8am). Keep the “calendar” dots to just stay a full calendar with gold dots filling in whenever the habit is completed. This way, if I end up doing my habit this week on MWSa because something interfered with F habit, I am still seeing my progress and feeling the accomplishment of doing the habit 3 days per week as I had intended.

Onboarding needs improving

2024-06-06

I love the book Atomic Habits and Atoms. It only gets 4 stars for now until they fix the onboarding process. Atoms only lets you add one habit the first day and you can’t add a second one until day 3. I understand the intent is to prevent people from adding and failing at too many habits. But I already have 7-8 daily habits that I’m very consistent with and I want to use Atoms simply to log and see a visual representation of my progress. Either let people backdate the start of a habit (and subsequent accomplishments since then), or allow multiple habits to be added at once, perhaps giving a “warning, adding multiple habits lowers chance of success” but still allow the user the power to proceed. This feature is for people who are already tracking their habits from reading your book and simply desire to go digital for the record keeping.

Making Atoms a Habit

2024-06-06

Currently on my second read (audio this go around) of Atomic Habits and decided to add Atoms as part of my daily set up for success. Since I believe in a 1% better theory, I decided I would allow room (stars) for improvement over time.

Atoms does take a moment to work through when setting up habits, I’m assuming especially so if new to creating habit stacks, but the time spent creating these stacked moments in your day will lend to a smooth outcome to a new focus for the individual who is struggling to adhere to new goals.

Baby steps here. Adding new items one or two AT a time over TIME will make using Atoms and book one of the most beneficial acts of kindness you can offer yourself.

Amazing but has bugs

2024-07-23

Atoms is amazing and will not disappoint! This is by far better than any other habit tracker on Atoms Store and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to take control of their life, however, I did encounter a few major issues that prevented me from logging my habits.

First, when I log the habits, it should take me to a screen that shows me my streak and how many reps I have been putting in the past 7 days. But it just stands there and spins indefinitely. I close Atoms and try again, and to no avail.

Second, after finishing the trial period, you can only log one habit at a time, however, I get the “upgrade to pro” banner that appears after the first habit I log. I could click any unlogged habit and still get that banner. To solve this, I tried deleting all but one habit, however, the banner appears preventing me from deleting habits as well.

Glitchy but hopeful

2024-02-25

I’m giving it four stars because I am really hoping that this will come through. I was looking forward to Atoms, but I am seeing an amazing number of glitches right now. I can’t get past the first few screens without it freezing. I’ve tried to create a habit, create an account, and nothing works. I’m not sure what the issue is, but I’m hoping that it gets ironed out in the very near future.

No way to “back-log” habits

2024-04-13

I have been using this app for 36 days now. I really love it! Beautiful, and a pleasure to use, with parameters that make it easy to implement specifically James Clear’s methods.

My one problem is that I went on vacation and Atoms did not log some of my habits correctly because of the time change. Really disappointing that my count is off on my tracker now forever and I cannot change it, even though I contacted them and everything to see if they could change it for me. Hopefully in the future they will fix this issue…but for now I guess I will just have to settle for a blip in my track record.

Do NOT Hesitate

2024-10-08

Full disclosure: I was part of the test group for Atoms while it was in process of tweaking for ease of use. My deepest thanks to all who were involved to bring this forward. Several things: as a counselor, many clients misunderstood habit change and this was a significant issue stopping them from reaching both small and big goals. Secondly, Atoms will help you see patterns in your life and help guide you to make necessary tweaks you how you plan your day. It is eminently practical. Finally, I used it myself to jumpstart a new habit and wow, I am much further along and really excited about my progress. I am so thankful! Also: the freebie tips and lessons that are included are invaluable for self reflection and awareness. Atoms is a keeper.

I’ve been waiting for this

2024-09-12

So far, so good. I love James Clear’s book Atomic habit and I can’t wait to get deeper into Atoms !

You can set up one or multiple habits with Atoms. It helps you create your habit in the form of a “SMART” goal. It gives you guidance along the way making it easy to express your thoughts and reflect on why you are setting your goals. It also allows for you to invite an accountability partner to join you in the experience. You can set a reminder to match the cadence of your routine. It tracks and logs goals so you can easily see if you are staying on track.

Many more features such as daily lessons and deep dives into other topics. Enjoy getting a little bit better each day and share Atoms with people you want to see doing the same!

The first app that I felt giddy over it’s surpassed my expectations!!!

2024-10-08

Coming from the software and hardware industry since 1978, I can attest to how I feel, and the value of this user interface and how it brings JAMES CLEARS core work together to make an excellent experience with form and function.

Congratulations!! I do believe it’s an outstanding job done. I look forward to hearing from the 30 plus people that I have bought your books for, or referred your newsletter, and other reading materials to over the past few years.

This is exciting. Thank you for sharing your genius and your energy. It’s made me a better person for sure. It’s helped me help others repeatedly.

Perfect accompaniment to the book

2024-02-27

If you loved the book by James Clear for its bite sized wisdom (atomic?) then you will find Atoms the perfect aid to put those lessons in to practice. Keeps it simple and keeps it obvious and provides little recaps of the book as well. The Pro version is a bit too expensive for me right now, but I think it’s worth it given so much we waste otherwise.

Great start!

2024-03-06

I like Atoms a lot, of course we would all like it if it was a bit cheaper but I understand, business is business.

Maybe the devs can change one thing though? Allow for the habit to be completed multiple times per day and not just once a day? For example, do 20 pushups before break time. I have 3 breaks but can only log one habit completion per habit per day. Kinda throws me off but at the same time I could just change the way I have the goal, but tracking it might be nicer if I can push the “accomplished” button. (Or even if I did an extra one, I could push it again that day)

Other than that, I like getting the little lessons, I still need to find out if there is a way to see previous lessons or an archive of some sorts. I’ve only had Atoms for a couple days so still exploring.

Amazing but plz let us rearrange order of habits

2024-10-08

Atoms is beautiful! And I’m excited for the chance that this could replace my paper tracker. The one feature (unless I’ve missed it) that I feel like is missing is the ability to re-sort or rearrange the habits. For example, I’d like to rearrange the habits in order of when they take place in the routine of my day. But if I initially set them up, and I come up with a new habit, it automatically places it at the bottom, creating some chaos and confusion in the layout of finding tasks. I think being able to drag and drop the placement of habits within Atoms would be amazing! I know it just launched, so hopefully this is on the roadmap. Other than that, fantastic job!

Easy to use with a bunch of extras

2024-02-27

Atoms is simple to use and set up habits while also giving you encouragement and feedback when needed. It tracks your progress so you have an idea of how you are doing over time. And the mindset tab basically boils the book down into easy to digest sections that can help you focus on what you’re ruffling with

Fantastic App!

2024-09-12

If you have read James Clear’s book, Atomic Habits, were inspired by what you read but were unable to turn the books insights into practice…have I got Atoms for you! Enter Clear’s new app, this app. I have been using Atoms , since in launched in beta, and I LOVE it! It’s really helped me: 1. Clearly define my goal & 2. Keep at it. I also love the “Mindset” section of Atoms filled with great advice from the book. I’ve just been invited to add a second goal and this morning I got cheerful reminder not to forget to do it…w/out Atoms I would have totally forgotten. :) I’m genuinely grateful to James & his team for developing Atoms. I’ve loved Atomic Habits & Jame’s weekly emails - but felt too overwhelmed to actually BEGIN the process of setting a goals and sticking to them. this app is just what I needed to turn inspiration into solid action!! Thank you so much for creating Atoms. I think it has the potential to do so much good!

Helps me to track a much needed habit

2024-10-08

Updated review: App is working well for me, now that I’ve learnt how to log my habit after the day has passed and can see the calendar to further track my habit. I personally find it quite motivating to see my progress. I use the free version which suits my needs at this time.

I don’t always get to log in my habit right after I finish the habit because life gets busy. However, once a day has passed, there is no way to log that you actually completed the habit. This makes the tracker look inaccurate. Also, I wish I could see my habit in calendar style like Streaks does. The “calendar” shows up only when I log my habit and it only shows a week at a time. As such, it won’t help me review the past month for example to see if there is pattern (i.e. days I am more likely to miss my habit) which might indicate more about a failure of my process on that day compared to other days.

Excited to try this!

2024-02-27

I have learned much through the book and regular emails I get from James Clear. I’m excited to try Atoms to track my progress on the small steps I need to do for a bigger change in my life. It was easy to set up, it only took about 3-5 minutes to have Atoms downloaded and my first habit set up. It’s user friendly and looks really nice! Thanks for making this trial available.

The power of 1% for LASTING habits

2024-02-27

Atoms has been exactly what I needed to start building positive habits. I've been following James Clear and his work since he began with Atomic Habits. He's a thoughtful writer with a lot of wisdom to share — both his book and newsletter are full of actionable advice. Naturally, I had to check out his new project, as I trust his work implicitly. I'm excited to start this journey and strive to becoming the best version of myself — with purpose and intention.

Lets go!

Love at first tap🥰

2024-03-24

Atoms is the perfect complement to a goal setting system. It helps keep your desired outcome front and center in an environment that's constantly trying to distract you. It also provides just the right amount of dopamine to motivate you to keep going! Where I've found other trackers intrusive and frustrating because they add friction, this app is very soothing to my brain. It works in flow and allows me to expand over time. The user experience is highly intuitive and encouraging. I highly recommend this to anyone intentionally building change.

Great little app to keep your mindset positive

2024-02-27

I enjoyed testing and going through Atoms . My favorite part is Mindset. Reading these little bits help me to remember the positive and stay focused. The book was great, the weekly email is my favorite and Atoms is going to be a great way to keep the focus front and center and for me to read a quick Mindset passage when I need that little pick me up.

Atomic Habits working well

2024-03-24

The bug fixes eliminated the problems many wrote about early on. It was very easy to get into Atoms and start using it. I will enjoy the 28 day trial period and see where it takes me. I have already enjoyed the supporting materials available through the site. I would suggest you read the book as well, it will help you adapt to this mindset much more quickly. Very excited to apply the recommended practices, they are easy to understand and act on. Don’t waste any more of your 25,000 mornings, the book and Atoms will help guide you on your improvement journey. Once a habit, always a habit! Cheers Ron

Better methods to pick up new habits

2024-02-27

Atoms is gorgeous and I love all the little details throughout. I haven’t read the book but I can already see why it’s such a hit. I love how Atoms reframes how to build better habits, and it’s really nice to have it in an app format where it’s more interactive.

Exceeded my Expectations

2024-03-24

I’ve used a few different apps for building habits and none of them have really compelled me enough to keep using them. Atoms has countless articles explaining various different topics in regards to how to better your habits (and your life in turn). Beyond just setting and tracking new habit goals you’re able to learn from countless different articles more about how our brains work in relation to habit building. Also, Atoms allows you to invite accountability partners, so you can get your friends involved too and get better together.

Five stars

2024-03-24

Loved the book, but Atoms isn’t the same. For a really good habit tracking software, I would pay at most $10 as a one-time purchase. I’m not completely sure what math was used to get the number $17 per month, but subscription based mobile apps make me sad.

For the cost of less than one month of Atoms’s premium, you can get everything Atoms offers and more… by buying the book! Once you have it, it’s yours forever. 10/10 book, would recommend.

In contrast, Atoms is a bit beyond my meager app budget. I’m sure it will still help lots of people, but if I were the devs, I would reconsider your target audience. I have a really good free time management software right now, and the extra features just aren’t worth the difference.

Mr. Clear, I give your app five stars because I know you are trying to help people. Kudos to you for that. No offense intended. Do what you may with that knowledge. I really like your 3-2-1 emails, also :)

Life Changing!

2024-02-27

I’ve tried other productivity/habits apps in the past and they were okay but this one is life changing! I’ve been using it for 27 days and have 3 habits I’m working on. Atoms in conjunction with the principles in the book guided me to choose 3 manageable habits (one at a time) that I’m confident I can maintain long term. I truly feel I am changing not just my habits but my identity. I’ve told so many friends about Atoms because I think it is an incredible value. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

Exactly what I expected/wanted

2024-02-27

There’s no bug! Those were old reviews before Atoms was launched to the public.

I enjoy reading his 3-2-1 emails each week and I’ve been looking forward to Atoms ’s launch for a while now. Atoms is well designed and breaks down the habit into exactly how Atomic Habits does. I’m excited to have this handy tool on my phone finally. The one thing I’m hoping for is that it’ll eventually allow more than 3 habits.

Simple, Beautiful and Effective

2024-02-27

I’m not normally a huge ‘apps’ person, but this one is different. If you’re going to have any app on your phone, make it this app. I’ve been a longtime fan of James Clear and couldn’t be more excited about Atoms! It’s so easy to use and an effective way to track habits.

Suggestion: add a function to track habits you don’t want to do or are trying to break (e.g. I don’t want to check social media on weekdays, I don’t want to watch TV in bed, I don’t want to use my phone during dinner).

Very valuable tool

2024-02-27

I was one of the beta users and found this platform to be an encouraging, well developed app. Even though along the way I dealt with some minor issues it seemed they were addressed about the time I found them. If you are wanting to learn how to make changes and develop good, new habits along with great mindset development this is a great tool to help. I wish the price was a bit lower, however the value of material is worth way more. If you haven’t read James book Atomic Habits then I recommend you do so and then his app would make more sense. V1 Looks Great!

Atoms has a great design and is user friendly. I like the haptic features and soft color scheme.

When setting up a habit, I suggest choosing a time be an optional feature. I might wake up at different times each day, so having the option not to associate each habit with a specific time of day would make it easier for me to use.

I know James Clear cares a lot about quality, so I'm sure kinks will be worked out as Atoms develops, hence the five star rating. I'm so glad Atomic Habits finally has an app! The book changed my life and I'm sure Atoms will help many more!

Super happy with the new ATOMS app

Utilizing Atoms was fairly easy right away because I have been a fan of atomic habits since I read the book. Next I started the challenge of building better habits with the weeks course.
The Thursday emails have been a great support. When I heard an app was in the works, I was very excited to use it on a daily basis.
I love all of James Clear’s work!
I am most happy with Atoms ’s clear format and even the color scheme used on the articles is pleasing to the eye and comfortable to read without having to make any adjustments.
I didn’t need to wait to upgrade to the Pro, where I can add & track 2 more habits. I wanted to start tracking on my birthday yesterday.
I also love how easy it is to share articles. I have been recommending the book, challenge & Thursday emails to many family & friends.
Sharing articles makes it even easier to recommend Atoms .
Nice work James Clear!

On its way to the top

I’ve read “Atomic Habits” and one of my big struggles is that I would try to take on too much and get burned out before the first week was done. With this system, you can only add a second habit after you’ve done your first 1 at least 3 times. It forces your to slow down and actually develop at a comfortable pace. Since these are small but mighty habits, it’s worth taking the 3 days of repetition to get it right. I stand by Atoms 100%. I had some glitches when playing around with it on launch day, and I’m confident they will be ironed out in time. I highly encourage everyone to be patient with Atoms , I think you will find it worth it in the long run.

Definitely a quantum leap to my daily routine

I deeply enjoy James Clear Thursday’s emails. His emails are one of the few, among the hundreds of mails I receive daily, that I don’t delete right away. His 1,2,3 gives always concrete insights. His book has helped me, I bet Atoms will be an extraordinary tool to put into practice the useful methodology he gives in his book. It will launch me even higher. Awesome job James 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻thanks for bringing this to help thousands of people… all kinds of people… the ones that are super structured and those who lack structure completely. Thanks again!

Right on Time!

I currently have this book that I read in the past, which helped me change my mindset and lose weight 2 years ago, but after reaching my goal, I became ill and depressed and lost sight of my progress. As a result, I fell back into old habits and regained all the weight. Although the book is still on my bookshelf, I often forget to pick it up and read it as I get busy with life and work. However, I was thrilled to discover an email today that said Atoms was available. I love the mindset tool feature and plan to continue using Atoms beyond the trial period.
