3.8 out of 5
Frustrating for a Professor

I am an accounting professor who teaches auditing, and was planning to use this in my class with a case from Ernst and Young (EY Foundation). This would be amazing software to teach my students. The only issue is there is no educational trial or plan that would allow students to try this in any meaningful way. The case has a picture of over 3,000 sheep in an aerial view from a drone picture for an inventory count. The free trial allows you to count โ€œup to 10 items.โ€ It would be unconscionable to require my students to purchase an $80 software application that they will likely never need again (their firm would have access). So, unfortunately, while the software is likely great, the accessibility is not. It would be more effective to allow the free trial to count any number of things but limit it to 5 (or some number of) separate counts. This is immensely disappointing, as Iโ€™m missing out on being able to deliver a great learning opportunity to my students.

Waste of data

This has to be the dumbest app Iโ€™ve ever seen in my life. You literally have to click and count on whatever you want CountThingsfromPhotos to count. Complete waste of time

Counting boxes is awful

Doesnโ€™t account for depth of the pallet. I mean you take a picture of a full pallet with 36 boxes on it. 4 high, 9 per layer. And it tells me there are 18 boxes. Even when Iโ€™m angled to see the boxes on top. Clearly 9 on top. All it counted was 9 on the side of the pallet and 9 on the front. Meaning it counted 3 of the boxes twice because it could see 2 sides of the corner boxes

Interesting, but EXPENSIVE

I have a hardwood business and it would be nice to have an App that can count our pallets. But this thing is $99 dollars a month if you want to count more than 10 items,$99 dollars A MONTH! Absurd.

Cool idea, but I can't wait for someone less greedy to copy it and offer it at a fair monthly or lifetime price.

Marketing dept on drugs

These guys are counting too many marijuana cigarettes. You guys are so unrealistic in your selling price that someone else will provide this for free with ads. I'll be back in a month and someone else would have developed an alternative.

Too expensive

99USD for one month is just ridiculous.
I understand that a lot of time has been expended producing CountThingsfromPhotos, but itโ€™s just too expensive.
Thatโ€™s almost 1200USD a year.
Just not worth the money.
It works, my one star rating is because of the cost.

Works well

I like CountThingsfromPhotos but itโ€™s really expensive for what it is. Donโ€™t think I will be using it again.

Log counting

I recently used a trail version of CountThingsfromPhotos to count stacked logs in the woods and I found it very helpful and an excellent tool for the forest industry. To extended the free trial is $99.99/month/user, I find this a quite pricy for an app that I would use only occasionally. Is there a possibility of a lower cost option for users that may only use this in limited situations? This is an amazing tool that my business could use, but just can justify the cost.

Stones not counted correctly

When looking at a set of pebbles top pebbles are counted but even visible bottom stones are not counted. So its good when counting distinct objects but not objects partially hidden which a human eye and brain can count

Great for counting fish

I breed goldfish and was delighted to find the tilapia template. I used it to count a recent spawn of 900 fry and it worked great.

All around great

We were looking for an app to count metal pipe for our business and stumbled upon countthings. We tried the free trial and it worked great. The customer service department was excellent and worked with us to develop a customized plan to fit our business needs. We highly recommend CountThingsfromPhotos if youโ€™re looking for an app to count product. Know that their CS will take care of you and any concerns you man have. Thanks Cristian, and the Count Things team!

Great app....Too expensive!!!

Billy S.

I downloaded CountThingsfromPhotos and it worked great right away. Very self explanatory for my use.

Why is this rated so low!?!?

I am baffled as to how CountThingsfromPhotos is rated so low. It is revolutionary technology in the field of inventory management.

Amazing

Put Xs on napkin and it counted them perfectly. Canโ€™t wait to use it for other things

This app does not work as advertised

I chose the template as instructed. I then put 30 pills on a tabletop. CountThingsfromPhotos to 10 times the time it took me to count the and the came back with an answer of 224.

Good idea

I really enjoyed it

Pretty Accurate
