Fax From IPhone: Send &Receive Reviews

In the first sentence in the description of FaxFromIPhone is the question: “Have to work from home?” I bought FaxFromIPhone because I do have to work from home and I do not have a landline installed, so I thought this application would give me the tools to receive and print faxes. Receiving the fax worked well, I was even notified quickly of the received fax, but I cannot print the fax. I have an iPad Pro with the latest iPadOS installed. When I click on the box with an up arrow that should give me multiple options, including print, nothing happens. I wrote the support team before 2:00 pm and it is now almost 8:00 pm and I still have not received a reply to my request for help. I really wish I had chosen one of the many other fax programs rather than this one. Almost any program can have issues, but there needs to be a support staff that will respond within a couple hours to your needs.

I need it to receive an important fax so I figured I’ll just let me go and download FaxFromIPhone and set up a fax number so that I can receive the information I needed. Unfortunately FaxFromIPhone takes at least a minute to start and I know it’s not my phone because I’m using an iPhone 12 Pro Max and every other app that I open on my phone seems to run flawlessly. Everything seem to be working properly until I paid, once I paid for the one week subscription FaxFromIPhone started acting up. I tried to go into settings and look and see what the fax number what’s that for but every time I go to that section in FaxFromIPhone it just keeps spinning, I’ve tried it on cellular connectivity and with Wi-Fi connectivity and I’m still unable to get this I have to respond properly. Definitely going to be requesting a refund for the subscription fee since I never got a chance to use it.

I have been very discouraged trying to use FaxFromIPhone. First it’s difficult to open up on my iPhone 11 unlike other app. Then when I send the fax it takes forever and then I can’t tell what it was sent or not. If I go back and look at history it says it wasn’t sent. I have tried this in multiple locate locations after multiple times during the day and different days. Have been trying it on Wi-Fi and cellular doesn’t seem to make a difference. I’ve contacted the developer and have had no response yet. I’m about ready to give up and try another one.I read the reviews on their site. I seem to be having the same problem that those were having it a year ago we’re having.I tried it out first on the free even though it didn’t work I decide to subscribe for year it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

Signed up for FaxFromIPhone , as I needed fast delivery of an emergency fax. I liked the benefit of having my own fax number and was willing to pay the $8.99 a week for the service. (I chose not to pay the $89 for the year thankfully.) The record of the fax was “sent” on the sender’s end and verified by a different agent than the one who sent. I did not receive. Still hasn’t shown 3 days later. I also see even if you pay annually this mobile fax app company will shift and give you a new fax number every 30 days. Great for a drug dealer or scam artist, but not for me. I cancelled the service. Would like the $8.99 refunded to my car developers.

I had some paperwork I had to fax in which is normally not a problem. With all the stay at home rules I am forced to work at home with no real access to simple office tools. After reading several app descriptions and reviews I picked this one. SUPER simple and easy to use. My ONLY complaint is there are no price choices for people who only need it in rare instances. Hate to cancel my subscription but I can’t justify the cost with maybe 1 use every 3-4 months.

I had to receive a fax so I paid for a week of FaxFromIPhone. I received the fax, but then could only read it on my mobile device or re-fax it out. The forwarding functionality to email, messages, etc is broken in FaxFromIPhone . Contacted customer support. No response. So I finally re-faxed it to an office store, which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place. Paid $8.99 to FaxFromIPhone clowns, drove an hour round trip to the office store, and paid a dollar a page for the fax I had to re-send. Most expensive and frustrating fax of my life. Needless to say I’ve cancelled my subscription on FaxFromIPhone and deleted it from my device.

No details, no indication as to whether it had attempted dialing, no information as to whether the problem was on my end or the other, deleting, will use another app. Would not recommend.

Edit to prior review: the developer has added a canned response to roughly 2 dozen reviews claiming technical problems “yesterday”, despite this being 2 weeks ago.
Further additional information: they charged the fee IMMEDIATELY, which I know because I canceled my subscription within 3 minutes of accepting the free first day trial. Apple has already refunded that, but if there was any way to further reduce my score past 0 stars, I would!

FaxFromIPhone does not work, don't waste your time.

Downloaded app, then opened. It took A long to open but finally did. Cost is $8.99 a week or there is a monthly/yearly option. Selected a weekly option with plan to cancel after I sent to document… Drafted a fax without issue, tried to send and it would never send. Drafted again, same issue. Deleted app to try again. Same issue, slow to open. Once open, it won’t recognize the current subscription… Finally deleted FaxFromIPhone and requested a refund. Waste of time app should be removed.

Warning!! FaxFromIPhone is a scam!! It immediately charges you $4.99 then wont allow you to access photo but instead makes you scan..then it claims “it takes two minutes to send s fax”...so i scanned my document, hit send and it claims it takes 9 minutes to send..but never finishes sending..then just shuts FaxFromIPhone each time you try to resend. It keeps trying to send my fax from a foreign country using the “1” before the areacode...and we all know most fax machine software doesnt accept foreign phone numbers due to large amounts of spam. I tried for over a hour and im tech savy!! Dont waste your time!!! No refunds!!

FaxFromIPhone sucked. I paid $8 or $9 bucks whatever the amt was, and I wasn’t able to use it! FaxFromIPhone kept on freezing and taking a long time to load. I tried faxing numerous times, and was never able to complete a fax. I tried getting my fax number, so I could forward it to my colleagues, and it just kept reloading forever and ever and ever!! I emailed the company and never got a response. I’m glad I tried it out for one week before committing to a year. Don’t waste your money with this one. And before you ask about my phone, it’s a brand new iPhone, so....🤷‍♀️

I don’t even have this any longer and it keeps on charging my bank account. It’s $9 a month it’s a complete scam. It works to send a fax. But if you only need to send one fax and try to stop it it won’t stop charging your account each month. Beware if you don’t intend to keep using it!!! I have to cancel my entire debit card in order to stop the charges. $9 a month added up for nothing being used is WAY TO EXPENSIVE!!! I would put just 0 stars but I had to put one to post this warning to everyone.

Easy to use, no ridiculous fees, and a sent confirmation. It does take a few minutes to send each page, so if you are faxing a long document, expect it to take a little while. But that’s how manual faxes are, too. All in all, I am pleased with FaxFromIPhone and will be keeping it for future use.

So far, FaxFromIPhone is doing what it states. Sending faxes for free. It’s very simple with basically no frills but does allow one to add a basic cover page to an outgoing fax. Unless it stops working or begins to charge for sending faxes, it will remain a 5 star for me. Could it use an update and more functions? Sure... but it works... And it’s free... And for that, I’m happy. Thank you.

Downloaded app, tried sending an 11-page PDF fax (with cover) to my own fax number as a test, and it failed to send though it seemed to make the attempt. Saw a message to Resend, tapped the Resend button, saw an ad appear, I closed the ad and I was still unable to send with no valid indication as to why. I deleted the test fax from my queue, recreated the fax, retried sending and the fax would not send at all (not even make an attempt like the first test) though I kept seeing ads pop-up.

I have chosen to delete FaxFromIPhone . Totally doesn’t do what it claims.

App was laggy from the beginning (iPhone XR). Could not even load my fax number to view it (app force shut down after loading for several minutes). Unable to send fax to known working phone number, even via multiple file types (through built-in camera, pdf, from photo library) over multiple attempts. Finally forced to fax using a different app, which worked perfectly. Very disappointed at company, which makes a fine scanner app. Spent 9 dollars and got a nonfunctional app in return.

Got rid of my fax machine and don’t really need to fax much anymore. FaxFromIPhone did the job and was reliable with other party receiving promptly. Plus it’s free where other apps charge money to do same thing on your phone. 5 star app

I bought this membership hoping that it would be my go to fax application. I can’t send a fax with it so what’s the point of paying for it though? I am sending this fax to college board so there’s no way their number is incorrect, even if it was I spent the last hour on the phone with them to get an alternative number. That didn’t work either. Why am I paying for a service that cannot complete it’s only function? Don’t buy this if you want to actually fax documents.

FaxFromIPhone appears to function however; 1. I find the fact that you cannot keep a record of the fax a major problem, 2. There is no way to confirm that the recipient actually received the fax, 3. The cover sheet calls for the senders fax number which in fact is one’s own cell number and not an actual fax number.
It would be appreciated if someone would address these issues with a response and a solution.

Purchase so I could fax over documents. After waiting 17 minutes my fax did not go through at all. It says “the fax has failed due to some unexpected errors, even after multiple attempts” “Your fax may go through if you try again.”

This is my 4th time trying to fax documents, the fax number is correct but FaxFromIPhone isn’t sending. I’m getting frustrated because I just purchased the week subscription today. I definitely want a refund.

I needed to fax a document to a service provider. FaxFromIPhone lets you send a document immediately after download! No tricks, no gimmicks, no registration. Of course, you’ll want to set up an account so you’ll never have to make another trip to the printer or office supply store!

I am 70’s + female with NO TECH SKILLS
I was able to download app, take photo of necessary paper, fax it. All in under 15 minutes.
Thank you for making me feel tech smart. I will look for more of your products.

Great app 👍🏼my faxes reached there destinations quickly. The free level of service is perfect for my fax needs, interface is easy and user friendly and the ads are no bother at all just 5 quick seconds.

Where can I find the confirmation that the fax went through?
Otherwise, love FaxFromIPhone ! But since I can’t tell if it was successfully transmitted or not, I still have to go find a paper fax machine and resend just to be sure. It is an IRS filing, so confirmation is imperative.

After trying several apps, this is absolutely the best because it does what it says it will do, which is extremely rare almost nonexistent, it is also easy to use.

My first try, waiting to confirm, very simple. I had the doc in PDF & couldn’t figure out how to send that way. But, scanned with phone camera & on my way. Super easy! Oh & did I mention FREE! It confirmed while I wrote this AWESOME!

Easy to use. Worked perfectly. If I had a need for a lot of faxing I would definitely set up an account. Will look for your other apps too!

There are too ads on FaxFromIPhone. When you’re trying to do work, every time you click on a button, an ad pops up with a video that you must watch. I ended up losing workthat I had spent a long time creating because FaxFromIPhone froze during one of the ads. I don’t recommend FaxFromIPhone at all. I will delete as soon as I finish this review.

I needed to fax some paperwork fast and couldn’t make it to town to use a fax machine so I looked up FaxFromIPhone and it is awesome! Especially when you need to fax something in a hurry or on the go!

Great app easy to use save my life with a last minute fax that had to be sent before the end of the day took a picture of papers faxed right over!!

It’s a free fax service. I sent a 16 page fax. It only seems to work from an active scan or photos but that makes life easy.

FaxFromIPhone is my go to when I need to send a fax while on the go. It has been a life saver. App works perfectly even get a free cover letter!
