Super glitchy, ruining my trip

I’m in a foreign country so I can’t use my cell phone number linked to my cap one account to verify my purchases or login. It should be ok because I can verify by tapping my card to my phone right? Wrong. It simply doesn’t work. I’ve tried 50 times and it worked one time. The one time I got it to work was by restarting my phone, and it didn’t work after that. It just does not recognize any of my three cards. Yes, I’ve done all the troubleshooting. Beyond frustrating. This needs to be fixed or offer another way to verify. I’ve wasted literal hours and countless dollars because of this.

I physically have the card, have the app, received the link, said yes to the text that it’s me making the purchase, and STILL refused! I have to now spend more money by going into the location to make this purchase. With the current exchange rate that’s significantly more money. The response from CapOne.. um, sometimes the system works and sometimes it doesn’t. That’s just great. When I’ve done ALL the verification checks, I should be allowed to make my purchase!!!!

Bored, and going "all in" on my ex-employer, I looked to see what other apps Capital One developed.
This caught my eye because my debit card has a key on the back. I logged in, the card seemed to be
"verified" and then end of process.
Don't know if I was scammed or what. Also, never heard of this app and l worked there a long time.
