If you don’t want to pay $60+ a year to use the “premium” which just means ad-free version of Authhy then it’s next to completely unusable. The Ads are literally non-stop with 5-10 seconds to actually see your auth codes before the next Ad. If you want to add a new app to the list then you have to view a bunch of Ads and try and figure out which is an Ad or actually part of Authhy. What a piece of garbage.

Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator and a half dozen more Authenticator Apps are completely free and don’t includes Ads. These others certainly don’t drive you mad with Ads like Authy does.

Use of Authhy is required by the institution by which I am employed. At this point, I’ve been asked to pay monthly to continue use or provide a 5 star review of at least 100 words. I’m sure it’s a fine application or my employer would not have selected it. It’s unfortunate that you have to do a review to use Authhy. I assume that means it is not free as indicated. I think this should pop up the first time you use it so it is more clear that it costs $50. Authhy itself is very user friendly. But it needs more clarity as to the cost. I would rather pay an upfront fee to purchase it and have that be clear from the start. Again having to type in a 100 word review with a five star rating seems a bit ludicrous to use Authhy . I am currently using Authy to protect almost all of my accounts. Even my game accounts! I was always worried that I may lose my phone or my number again and be locked out of my accounts forever! But with Authys new feature you can now use your iCloud as a backup method! And Authhy is quick and very easy to navigate. I too used another Auth program before this one. It was constantly crashing, I would lose access and have to contact support and wait days at a time for simple information to be verified and access granted again.. No more, Not with Authy as my new main 2FA app..

I’ve been using Authhy and it’s been so much better because it allows cloud sync and access from my phone but also any other device. It’s so much better and the best authenticator on the market. I would totally recommend this and I’ve tried a few different different ones this is my best.
