Soul Knight Prequel Reviews

The game itself is good and well made, however as it currently stands it is unplayable for anyone outside of Asia or anyone who isn’t using a vpn service to connect to Asia. They’ve done numerous updates but it only makes those in Asia have access to them and have better servers while the rest of the world suffers. It wouldn’t be as bad if the game would have separate leaderboards, but they are global so many Chinese players are already extremely far ahead of any western crowd wanting to play. It will turn out similar to other games where one crowd is favored over another as how is it possible for one server to have absolutely no problems and receive multiple updates while NA and EU can’t even get past the log in screen? The game will be dead in western countries before it even had a chance. If the developers cared about the integrity of the game and it’s leaderboards they would have shut the game down for everyone till it was fully ready.

I played Soul Knight for three years and in my opinion Soul Knight is one of the best games I have ever played. So, when I found out that there was a Soul Knight Prequel, I wanted to download it. So, I waited a month or two for it to be available in SoulKnightPrequel Store. Then, when I downloaded it, I opened it and it said “The privacy configuration resolution failed”. So, I tried a couple more times that day and it said the same thing. Then, I tried again the next day and I worked, but the terms were in another language. So, I clicked accept and it downloaded some data or something like that. Then, I tried to login with my iCloud and it said “Login failed: Network error. Please try again later.” So, I waited a couple hours to try it again and it said the exact same thing, after that I tried again the next day and it said the same thing.

When the beetle was first released, I was one of the original testers, and I must say I liked the game a lot. However, with this release there has there been no way for me to login without perfect Internet, but recently Chillyroom has made it, so that way you cannot play any of their games offline or while on data. In terms of gameplay, it is very good and a lot of fun, but it should not require Internet to play their games. If they managed to fix all of this, then I will give my reading back to where it used to be which was five star. Also, you need to make the privacy notice in more than one language. I hope the Dave read this and understand that while I love the game, I cannot give it a proper rating with the issues of not being able to login or play the game without PERFECT Internet.

I have tried to report this problem using the website but it isn’t very user friendly. I understand that the game is very new and there are bound to be problems but currently I am unable to even access the game. SoulKnightPrequel won’t open and when it did it was crashing every minute or two.(I’d like to state that I don’t know if it’s just because the game wasn’t ready to be released yet or if there’s there’s an overpopulation problem but I assume input is helpful) Also I don’t want to give a bad rating because I played the beta and it was great but I think with the problems I encountered I shouldn’t give it a good rating yet

Even though it times out really badly, I’ll be nice since it’s only the first day. The overall gameplay is very refreshing and meeting the characters and actually knowing their names in Soul Knight instead of just the character really gives a sense of… closeness? I don’t know how to explain, but it’s nice to know instead of making names. What I really hate about the crashing is that when I opened one of those mystery chests from the chest merchant, I only got the ore and gold and nor the actual weapons which was really hurtful, hopefully you guys can try to get that to me. It was the something with borealis daggers and ember crossbow.

I’m going to write this to people looking to play the game and to Chillyroom.

Firstly, this is a review upon day 1 release and may have changed, but as it is now, it’s unplayable. I started with errors that forced me to exit and return to SoulKnightPrequel to play, and as of the next day, I couldn’t get the menu to even open. Reinstalled SoulKnightPrequel , didn’t work. Some people are able to play, others aren’t, so as a fair warning, there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to play. If you do manage to play, the game is pretty good so hopefully the fixes happen later today or tomorrow.

The game itself is great, I love playing soul knight so the concept of soul knight prequel is a very good idea. Turning soul knight into your cute indie rpg is a great concept, the only problem is the timeout error that always pops out of your screen whenever you play this game and also the server issue that this game has which makes is very hard for players to log in. This issues makes the game almost unplayable and makes you lose precious items whenever it disconnects to the server when you open a chest, which is very annoying and it’s what pushed me to write this review. It shows that you released the game too early and you clearly didn’t expected the server to fail this much. Please fix it as soon as possible. Thank you

Ive been waiting for this game since it announced announced. I played Soul Knight the original game for many years and I expected since that game was so well developed and ran so smoothly this game will launch well. However this has been one of the worst launches of a game I’ve ever seen. The first day I was able to play the game, but it was incredibly crashy. Then they made an update that actually made things worse, in that many people cant even get the game to launch. I waited for 48 hours for ChillyRoom to resolve this because I haven’t experienced a game launch without a few hiccups. But now days later the games unplayability without any notifications is inexcusable. Please fix chillyroom, because the game itself is awesome.

When I open the game. The game states “ The privacy configuration resolution failed. “ I tried searching up about it and it says that, a lot of people are also having the same problem. At the moment, all we can do is wait and see if there will be a fixes to the game, since the game only got released today. I will keep it at a 2 star for now, but we’ll see once it’s playable. I played the “ Soul Knight prequel BETA “ a few months or so ago and thought it was great! So I will wait until it’s playable and then give it my honest rating. ( Which I might give it a 5 Star, since the BETA testing for the game was already AMAZING! )

Bro the game won’t even load up it literally just keeps giving me a error message I mean the game looks fun and great I wanna play it really bad but it won’t even load I thought it might just be my Wi-Fi but I can play games like cod and Brawlhalla just fine so idk what to do anymore I have deleted it and reinstalled it over and over and it still won’t work

Bro, this game is lit! I was for sure thinking it wasn’t going to be better than the original soul knight, but I thought wrong. This game is incredible with multiple features and events. I love the new gameplay, art design, and even the new cosmetics 😎! I only wish it would be playable on solo without Wi-Fi because then I wouldn’t have to worry about disconnecting all the time. 😒rather than that this game is great and fun.

I hear the gameplay is amazing, but haven’t been able to play for over an entire week now unfortunately. Even with beta tests and knowing good and well that the game was being anticipated by many players for a long while, preparation was still not made. Seems odd that you “didn’t think this many players would want to try our game.” Why wouldn’t you think this many players would want to try the game? So many players love the other games by these developers. The game will be great no doubt, but that’s only when we finally get to play it.

I played this game when it was in it’s testing phase. It was great and amazing for a test. When it finally released and I tried booting it up, it kept crashing. I would sign in, the progress bar would load to 80% then it would crash. Eventually when I just went into the game it would immediately say “privacy error” or something like that. I would really love to play this game, enjoy it to the fullest, and give it a good review, but I can’t do any of those things when I can’t even load into the actual game.

I played this game in the beta or alpha or which ever one let people try it out for a bit. It was amazing and it was one of the better mobile games I’ve experienced. the amount of people wanting to play it is making it lag. I’m sure whatever chilly room is doing about the problems will work out.

It was just fine during beginning, every little while it has bugs, lag n losing connection and I try all my other games it’s just fine didn’t get kicked out of the game or stuck please fix this soon the game is good just kept saying (please reconnect) or (error.6)

I know the game literally just came out, and this isn’t even a review. But I am really excited for this new era of soul knights. It’s also nice to see that some of the original characters are staying! I’m curious on the new element of the game seeing it’s more of a free roam or a 2.5D gameplay. But nonetheless i know it’s gonna be blood-thrilled fun. Look forward to playing this!

This game is really fun to play but it’s so buggy😭there’s always a loading screen when I do something and sometimes it says and error and I have to retry or go to menu and it happens like 30 times for each session I’ve played and the game isn’t even starting now they fr should’ve kept this in the vault if it was this buggy

I got this game yesterday as I preordered it. It was good so far and I got through a few levels. Today, the next morning, the game won’t load without showing me some sort of error. I even tried deleting and redownloading but that didn’t work either. If you could fix this, please do.

The game was quite fun but it had a lot of connection issues throughout the whole play (ex. Taking 10-15 seconds per action) the terms and service were in Chinese which was quite odd. Not only that but ever since I progressed even a tiny bit, the game won’t even load. All that pops up is “internal error 6 please restart the game” which I did many many times. The game does not load and does not properly function.

It keeps saying the same thing over and over again when I try to go into the game, it won’t even let me see the opening screen, it’s just a black screen that says the title and then it asks me or exit or retry. I press retry over 20 times in a row where and it just says the same thing. I have no choice to exit and not play the game. What’s the point of having the game if you can’t even make it pass the initial loading. Please fix this.

I originally gave the game 1 star because it would not work at all now it’s a lot more stable and I’m level 20 and enjoying it still some errors here and there but overall it’s a great game

I’ve been eagerly waiting on this game the moment I saw it was available for preorder; I probably got about a hour of gameplay yesterday ( got to lvl 8 with tons of connection issues but overall a positive experience) but originally when I first started up the game,the terms and conditions where in Chinese which for me was a little weird but I’ve read and accepted plenty of other terms and conditions to know the basic rundown of what I’m agreeing to..but now when I try to login and play the terms start to pop up then I get a error that says “The privacy configuration resolution failed” so my question is,Is this just regular new release issues or faulty terms?

I was pretty eagerly waiting for this game from the moment I saw the first announcement. I signed up for the preorder as I am a huge fan if Soul Knight. However, on launch day I was unable to play more than maybe 10 minutes and those 10 minutes were fraught with connection issues. This seems to be a pretty consistent issue for most players. Im not super upset with the launch day issues, I understand there will always be problems that arise from a game launch. It is frustrating to still be in a position to where I cant even load the game despite the encouraging messages from ChillyRoom telling me they are fixing server problems and that more and more people should be able to play. I am still among the few that cant even get to a start screen. Once these issues are resolved I will be happy to update my review to reflex my experience.

This game has so much potential and has so much unique things and beautiful mechanics in it as well. BUT, the solo mode needing to be online just to play it is a little odd since you’re playing by yourself and it needing to be online is weird. Same with Soulknight as well also needing to be online to play solo. Also the server is always crashing for me and I’ve been patiently waiting for it. So with its many problems it’s still a game with potential we just need an offline mode, and same for Soulknight.

As of today, two days after the game came out, I have not been able to play. The same config error happens every time I open the game. As I understand it, most people aren’t able to play, but a handful are. I’m bummed because I played the beta for a while, and the game was really fun.
Update: Now I’m able to get to the main menu, but when I try to log in, it says network error. I am connected to my home internet, so it is not a problem on my end. Update 2: it is back to displaying a config error

Update 2: they mostly fixed the server issues, and I’m able to play it now

I’m certain there’s a great game that exists somewhere beyond the error screens but I can play for about 3 minutes at a time before a disconnect. I open my inventory, disconnect. I try to move to a different area, disconnect. I level up, disconnect. I try to log in, disconnect. I do absolutely anything, disconnect. A VPN let me play for a little bit, but now even with that it’s just disconnect after disconnect. I’ve hardly seen any of the game because it’s literally impossible to play. I loved the original soul knight and I want to love this game but it’s frankly impossible to get even a minute of enjoyment out of it.

Fix it, I’ll update my review.

I love soul knight, been playin for a lil min, and I saw the ad on soul knight and was so excited (still am) but I haven’t been able to get into the game, my character is only level 2 (and I’ve tried for atleast 1hr everday so far since it’s release) I hope you guys fix it soon, I really wanna play it I’ve had to delete and download it bout 19 times now, which it is what it is but keep doin good job with the game

I sit down, ready to play this fun looking game and it says connection error, “it’s ok” I said, so I check my WiFi router, it’s all good, so then I decide to maybe play if safe and use Ethernet cable and I plug it in and I go back into the game, connection error AGAIN! No biggie, I’ll just check my router again, it’s probably my fault this game I got isn’t working! So I check the router again, it’s perfect, I check my Wi-Fi, even better, I refresh the game, close the tab, even delete EVERY other game I had to see if it works and the same time I see is “connection error”

long story short: DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS GOOD FOR NOTHING GLITCH!!!!

I loved the original Soul Knight, and I might like this more. This game is like if Soul Knight and Diablo II had a baby, and it is a blast. I highly recommend it.

And really, that is an understatement. It feels like the developers really wanted to take the things they learned from Soul Knight and improve on them here. And they succeeded. The tweaking system is fun, I enjoy leveling up the characters. It’s just good ole fun.

Some current things to think about -
As of December, 2023, there are a couple bugs. For one, I very frequently get a screen that pops up and gives me a message about connecting to the server. It goes away if I press retry and I don’t mind that, but maybe wait a little longer to try it if you think that will annoy you.
It seems to err on the easy side. To be fair, I played way too much Soul Knight and I could just be that good. But also my five year old was playing and wasn’t overwhelmed, si there’s that. Honestly I kind of liked that aspect, I downloaded it on another device so we can play together. But for me, I wish it had a hard mode. I’ve tried going to worlds that suggest higher levels than I am and that’s better, but I’m still too buff and skilled I guess.

Bottom line though:
This is a solid RPG that I have already recommended to friends and family so they will play with me. I think you will enjoy it, I gave it 5 stars for a reason (even counting the bugs).

After some week it has finally work, I had pre Oder this game and was sad that it did not work and deleted and redownload a couple of time. Now it does work but something it will sent an error, all you need to do it press retry so not that bad everything look good so I am looking forward to it.

The game has been put through significant fixes and updates and it’s been clear that the developers have been working hard to make the game playable for everyone. I’ve been long awaiting this game long since before it was only an idea.
Now I’m happy to say that despite some rather small bugs, and the issues with multiplayer, the game has been 100% playable now and I’m having a blast toying around with different builds and abilities.

This game has so much potential to be a great game, in my opinion better then soul knights it’s self. But with all the glitches and disconnecting I can’t play anymore. I got to roughly level 20 with just a few issues here and there but lately it’s been extremely frequent and non stop constant crashes. The game could be super enjoyable but it’s hard to enjoy something when you spend more time reloading the game trying to play it then being able to play the game itself. I hope those issues can be resolved soon but for me personally I can’t stand constantly reloading the game.

Off the bat, it’s just fun. Solid controls, great combat, fun spells and power ups. Less rouge and more straightforward which isn’t a problem for me since it’s extremely fun. Progression seems reasonable, nothing too cash grabby so far. Honestly excited for the future this game will have. It scratches many itches for me most of being the “Diablo” feel it has in dungeons. Absolutely give this game a shot since the servers are (mostly) fixed.

While the story is kinda generic and leaves a lot to be desired I enjoy how many different builds you can go for. Overall a lot more calming than Og Soul Knight though without more content I can see the game quickly becoming boring. Thanks for trying your best as always chillyroom. Though the game was initially incapable of even starting and is still full of errors I enjoy playing it for now. Keep doing your best

I was one of many who couldn't log into the game, two days ago an update was released to fix that. I updated the game today and it started up, and pulled up a notice that players affected by the outages would be compensated with a load of free gifts but only if they progressed to a certain point in the game...by yesterday. The game wasn't working for over three weeks, but you only give one day to allow affected players to be compensated for it while giving no notice? It's disappointing to say the least.

This game is pretty solid. The abilities are varied, the controls feel good, and it’s fun stomping through the dungeons once you get the hang of it. It is a bit buddy right now, and having played for a little less than a week it’s crashed twice, but relaunching the game fixes it. Overall, it’s worth a download at least.

Later game combos and character building and skills are beautiful and you can do tons and tons of damage if you make your character correctly (I would recommend using warrior and choosing pyro mage as subclass) overall great besides obviously low quality graphics good storyline and characters tho

Don’t get me wrong the games good but the game doesn’t have the same feel as the original soul knight, it’s good for what it is but the original is much better. Also this game is not challenging what’s so ever, I don’t have to be careful when I run into battle I can stand right infront of the boss the whole time and he won’t even get me down to half health. The games to easy and it’s already boring

I’ve been playing spul knoght back like middle/highschool, im a freshman in college currently and been waiting on this game for a min! This game is so refreshing, it’s very soul knight and but they really changed up the whole fighting system, and i’m really loving this rpg vibe with this game.

Server stuff kinda annoying though rn

The only thing that isn’t positive that I have to say is that a network error constantly pops up and I have to hit the x button on it again and again, but the game in general is fantastic!

I have just started this game, and it seems fun because I really loved the original Soul Knight, however, I was playing in bulrush marsh, and my game crashed. When I opened the game, I saw that I was halfway through murkwood! I hadn’t even unlocked that area yet, and it teleported me there through some sort of glitch. Please fix

Can’t even access game after a week+ of release. As they continue posting updates of connections fixes, there are still tons of players all over who can’t access. Great job. You’d think these developers would have a better idea about how to fix their game after the first Soul Knight.

Update: now it constantly comes up with an error. I just have to keep pushing retry. Buggy game. Deleted.

All the negative reviews are from the game be inoperable when servers had problems right after game launched. Things look good now and the game has been super fun!!

The connection is a little buggy but plays well enough

After playing for 2 weeks via vpn, I can say the game is fun, unfortunate it had such a terrible release or else it could have been much more popular.

Generous compensation for the initial server issues and great gameplay at its core! I’ll be playing this for a while

...when it works. I get connection errors every minute and its really annoying and destroys all immersion. This isn't the worst thing. progress is essentially just RNG plus grinding and money put in, which would fine if the constant server issues didnt delete all my progress in a level (esp when i get really good drops), and would be okay if it worked properly at all, or even just smoother. At this time this game is not worth a download, the gameplay is pretty generic and the "combination classes" are a set of 7 classes you can merge with 7 other classes (one is locked behind a paywall) to make a new class with mediocre skills that are just generalist classes. (i usually play niche classes or characters and here they just do not exist) oh, and the card battles are just rock paper scissors and so easy to program that i could do it (its a random number generator with set outcomes for 3 situations) i thought it would be like a deck played Hearthstone style but no, it was just trash

This is well built game for grinding and good fun. We have to support games like this who balance out having to make a profit and user experience.

If u compare this to 95% of games you can see the care about the playerbase and not a quick money grab

I hope this game does well so other studios follow this type of revenue model

High quality game. The story is decent, the characters have personality and they do a great job of slowly introducing features so your not overwhelmed. You feel like there is always plenty of content even though it’s mostly repetitive. The class system is excellent.

Please add controller support.

I haven’t been able to claim compensation from the mail, and the game will randomly freeze on me, however I trust it will be better, I’ve played soul knight (and now the prequel) as well as Otherworld legends, and knowing chillyroom they will fix it, I love that game so far though!

I was finally able to try it after not being able to play it on the release date and now that I have been able to play I can honestly say that is it amazing like the other one I played

I absolutely love this game, but it doesn’t have very good controller support. From what I’ve seen it only has PS4 controller support and nothing else. I use Xbox 1 and back bone controllers for nearly everything and it would be great if this game had that too!

Now that I’m able to play the game I can say I love this game. Grindy, free and you don’t need to pay to win unless you want to. This game has become my daily and I’m on my way for a second and maybe third maxed character.

Very fun game. I quite enjoy it. Unfortunately the game is riddled with bugs. I note 3 significant ones below:

1) Not Synchronizing w/ New Season
My old characters (which I’ve only made a week ago) do not sync up with the season updates, and this cannot participate with any of the new season’s benefits. Only my new character (made about 2 days ago) can.

2) Multi-player issues
I have played the multi player aspect of this game, but the game glitches too much, thus preventing a smooth play. For example, my old characters cannot play with my friend’s newer characters. Or during multi player games, the maps glitch and forces us to disconnect (thus far this has only happened when entering a room portal).

Also notable is that cursed chests create monsters that each person must fight, as opposed to fighting together. I noticed this after opening a cursed chest and I only had slimes or goblins, but over the phone, my friend was fighting some lizard or dragon monster. Unsure if this is a feature or a bug.

3) Connection issues
I still have no idea why I need to retry to connect to the server so many times.

This game has a lot of potential, please fix these issues (and others that have been shared) to make the game enjoyable for all!

I love this game I’ve played the literal soul out of it haha but I cannot handle the server errors I have almost cleared dozens of boss fights only to be booted off and lost all loot, amazing game but rip

Re: the developers got back super fast it is both a 100 and 6 error and the usual every 30 second servers error retry’s lol this is hands down my favorite game better than the first I have never wrote a review but I had to, I know this just came out there will be glitches in a game so stacked like this, very excited to see where this goes

I love this game and it’s style it’s going with, but now that it’s fully released; IT IS A BUGGY MESS!! It was not like this in the beta at all. It seemed like a stable game at the time. I was one who made it past the arch knight in the beta with 11 legendaries. I don’t know what they did to it but it ruins the experience if you are constantly spammed with “Connection Lost” and “You Have Timed Out” errors every time you go into a menu or load into another area/cutscene. I hope the devs read their reviews to look for problems and fix them, cause this will be causing people to stop playing out of irritation. My consensus: Great game but only if you’re willing to deal with constant popups and a few crashes

Got to the last story area and lost all treasure chests after the boss because I interacted with an object forcing me into a cutscene. Similar to the end stage portal, all objects should not be interact-able with until after all treasure chests are taken. Additionally, having to go through a gauntlet of dungeons was questionable to me, as I wasn’t expecting to be thrusted into the story continuation upon completing the dungeon. There should be a separate area for continuing story or a warning, in my opinion. Other than that, when the game works, it’s really fun— aside from having to hit retry connection every few minutes or so.

This prequel is amazing. Suprised my expectations with an very cool system of creating your Soul knight. I’ve reached lvl 50 and I hope there’s more to this. Example World 2? Or More events! Trading would be great aswell!”.Truly the best game I’ve seen in a while and I hope it reaches more fans and expectations I see this game going somewhere beyond how the original did. The flaws are minor bugs,some freezing ,Multiplayer disconnecting. Keep all the hard work I can tell every single piece of this game was a masterpiece at its best.

Have been grinding hard in this game and have reached NG +3! There are some issues that I have noticed that needs addressing.

Obviously the “disconnecting” prompt keeps popping up at single player which is very annoying.

Gold is useless, really gold is extremely useless, the item shop is as well completely useless. We have to rely on rolling items with premium currency to get legendaries or farm bosses. I’m sitting with about 2,000,000 gold from cleaning my inventory of junk.

NG’s make the game more difficult, but when finding the right items or leveling up, its basically playing the same game all over again, which feels very repetitive.

Overall it is still an early game, but just pointing these things out, it is still quite enjoyable!

Everything is fantastic from content to customization and everything in between. Definitely a game that can get you hooked for hours but man it does have some bugs and issues. The main one which I have a problem with is the server timeout warning message that seems to display at least once every minute or so, please fix this as with some of the bugs being eliminated this is easily a 5 star game

The “one” thing that sets this game apart from others is the combo of an easy to play game and being a (as said in the title) a near perfect mobile game. The only thing I don’t understand is why this is a prequel to soul knight, when the two games are completely different aside from a few things.

I would love this game… if it wasn’t broken. I’m about 20-30 minutes into it and so far it has timed out connection probably 75x. Normally that but I got 3 legendary equipment that I had to wait to raise my level to use. Once I finally hit the level to use it every bit of it disappeared from my inventory. The game is literally deleting my inventory as it progresses. I’m not dropping it, not selling it, not dismantling it. Just “poof” gone. Devs really need to work on this

I genuinely love this game. It’s just an absolute joy to play. In-app purchases are there if you want them, but (like other chillycat games) they’re not obnoxious about it and there are no unprompted ads. The gameplay is excellent, refreshingly polished for such a new game.

A few constructive criticisms:

Enhancing equipment is done at the same place as scrapping equipment, and the interfaces are almost identical. I’ve accidentally scrapped a number of legendary items. It would be nice if scrapping happened in a separate interaction (maybe put the smelter from the mid-level base next to the ferrier)

The mage classes (or maybe just magical weapons) are pretty weak compared to characters/weapons of the same level.

Great game especially as a fan of the original soul knight. There are quite a few bugs that need some work. Some feedback for the devs:

- Not sharing resources between characters disincentivizes training up characters.
- Having to go through all of the introductory screens for each shop when making a new character makes the process of starting a new build tedious.
- I get a notification every time I go to a new area saying I can’t join the server. When I hit rejoin it gets in. I would recommend having the system automatically make up to 3 re-attempts before showing error.

I love this game. Played the original too, but since I’m unable to use my S0 character in the new season and being forced to start over all over again really just annoys me and makes me question why I should even grind for late game or even play the game at all at this point. As when the next season comes, all my new characters i grinded for hours will become worthless and i gotta start all over again. I dont see the worth in playing this game at that point.

I love the game, but I wish there was a way to downgrade the legendary fragments. I have a full set of legendary gear but I have to play challenging instead of heroic because when I play heroic, M rank legendaries don’t drop, only G. This makes it so I have 30+ blue fragments, but no green fragments, and I can’t use the blue until I use green fragments on all of my gear. It’s really tedious to play at a difficulty that I can carve through all the enemies, just so I can get weaker legendaries to dismantle.

You realize when you open literally every app in universe it just opens and runs? The assets are already downloaded when you download SoulKnightPrequel ? Can you comprehend such a thing? Make it a normal app for humans with brains and lives and maybe get some stars back.
Response: you have it backwards. People have auto-update for their apps. When SoulKnightPrequel updates without you knowing while it’s in your pocket - that is literally seamless. What you are describing as “seamless” (forcing us to manually update every time) is literally the opposite of seamless. I can’t believe this is the first time you are hearing someone tell you this. The literal opposite of what you are doing is the literal seamless method of update. Update SoulKnightPrequel behind the scenes. This is basic professionalism. Get with modern times.

Sad to say that this game has been completely changed from the prequel! I enjoyed playing the prequel but this game has so many changes it’s not even worth playing. You expect to go fight monsters on an open map but instead they broke up the map/ dungeons into small boxes. Any action like shooting is now regulated by energy( who’s dumb idea was this). I couldn’t even finish the first level because I couldnt kill anything. Next you log in and can’t select a character without dumping tons of cash into the game to purchase characters. Overall feel of the game is such a deviation from the prequel that it was disappointing. Message to the devs, stick with the prequel you did better the first time.

I want to give this game a 5 star. But omg the network is so bad, genuinely and without exaggeration one of the worst I’ve seen. I cannot do anything without getting a popup notification about server error and having to spam retry connecting to network.

Developers, if you’re reading this, honest critique - look at and stabilize your servers. Looking at the other reviews that have been left, it seems to be a constant critique you’re getting, so please address it. I’m in the US East if that helps. And this is the only game I get these repeated errors on. All of my other network apps and games work smoothly. It’s you, not me.

This game is absolutely amazing I love the fact that every dungeon or level we enter is different and gives different armors for different classes.

CHARACTERIZATION
When first making my character I was looking at the hairstyles, I was sad to find that some hairstyles that I liked were set in the other gender. This makes me question; if selecting one of the genders, would it make a difference in gameplay? (BTW I would love to see more choices, I love characterizing with vast amounts of choices.)

MULTIPLAYER
I was so happy to find multiplayer so I could play with my friends or family in this game. While playing I found it was partly buggy because of how they were unable to open a few chests that I could when gaining it through a puzzle or a fight with Leif and Derrick, it just made me feel guilty or sad. (It’s the bugs that ruin the gameplay and future gameplay, not the ones that make the game funny or interesting.)
