I bit the bullet and switched to Kualia from YNAB. After playing around with EnvelopeBudget for a while, I’ve come to the conclusion that Kualia is an excellent YNAB replacement. While it IS missing a few features that YNAB has (reordering of accts, inability to sync with investment, retirement, loan accts - tho EnvelopeBudget does say this is coming soon) it’s definitely something I can look past.
Both the UI and UX have been superior to YNAB in my opinion; a lot cleaner and with a more minimalist look.
Igor the dev has been excellent in responding to questions and concerns and EnvelopeBudget does have an area where the users can vote on new features which is an awesome feature for new apps or services.
Much like any new app or startup tho, I do hope Kualia sticks with their plans to add new features while maintaining a fair (and hopefully lower) price compared to their competitors. Time will tell and until then, I’ll be using Kualia for the foreseeable future.
