Need Nintendo online membership

Honestly I was pretty exited for this app. It looked cool and the no spoiler feature is an awesome idea. The app is free, which is cool, but you have to have an online membership to use any function of the app. Honestly I am not really surprised but still disappointed to realize this. I don’t believe that Nintendo will change this either, but having a pay wall to listen to music like this is just kind of unfair to the people who like their games and music but can’t afford to have an online membership; or people who don’t have internet and don’t want to spend extra money on something that they can’t get the most out of anyway. -- I also think that having to sign in at all is not needed. Not everybody who has a switch has a linked Nintendo account. So I think it would be cool if you could listen as a guest, but have the option to sign in. When signed in as a guest, you are not given many recommendations just songs that are popular. But when you are logged in, the app will look at the games you have and the amount of time that you have spent on these applications. My most played game on my switch is “The Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild”, so the app could pick up on this and give me more recommendations from this title then say “Tears of the Kingdom”, which I have less time put into. But that is just a recommendation.

Fine app, meh service

The app itself works great and is easy to navigate, but there are two major issues. The first is the lack of songwriter credits, which is absolutely astounding. Every game in the catalog has its composers mentioned in the credits of their games or elsewhere. It is a disservice to the artists to not credit them next to their music like on any other platform. Nintendo has the credits; there's no reason they can't be shown here. The second issue is the game library; there's an incredibly small selection of games at launch. I'm very glad to see them pulling music from all areas of their history, like Wii system music and two versions of Metroid for different systems, but so many iconic songs and games are missing for no good reason. We don't know the update release schedule yet, but the drip-feed approach is completely unnecessary here. There is no reason there can't be more soundtracks at once, but for some reason we have to wait to get more. And of course, your favorite game isn't guaranteed to be added. all of this is to say that i want t rhythm heaven music please nintendo please please

Extremely bugged

When I heard about this app’s release I was shocked. I would have never expected this to ever exist in some form but by some miracle, it does! On the first day that I used it, it functioned perfectly. While it has a poor variety of game soundtracks available, this is just its launch and I expect more to come in the near future. However, on the second day it refused to load. It was stuck on a permanent loading screen for about 20 minutes. I decided to delete the app and reinstall it and somehow it worked again. However, if I were to try to listen to one song on one soundtrack and change to another from a different console, I would get an error message. I decided to close the app and reopen it and it worked again. This app is very well made but a bug like this should take priority before any new soundtracks are added. Also, I recommend adding the composer’s name to every song in the app. I hope this helps.
