I loved this app until

I got a new phone. Everything was wiped even though app data for every other app persisted. Not only was none of my data saved in iCloud, there’s no accounts so nothing was stored in the backend either. I can’t see any of my progress since I started tracking 2 years ago. Not only that, the values it gives you are extremely misleading.

I set my stats as 6’0” 210 pounds with little to no activity and it’s telling me my TDEE is 4200 calories. That is utterly insane. It’s telling me that if I eat 4200 calories per day, I’ll maintain my weight. In fact, if I ate 4200 calories per day, I would gain over 4 pounds of fat per week. How it can get that so wrong is insane and dangerous for people who may not know what their TDEE is beforehand. A week ago, calorieai was 5 stars for me but now it’s beyond useless

Really good app need one change

This is a really good app with great technology to help you meet your goals. One thing that I would recommend to the company is to make it so you can put more than one entry without having to close and reopen calorieai . If you don’t, it just replaces the entry that you made previously with your new entry. Other than that great app, super user-friendly overall amazing!

For the minimalist 4.5/5

Excellent minimalist design I was looking for. Top 3 features:
-NO LOGIN REQUIRED (devs whatever you do do not change this!!)
-Easy, quick food entry and searches
-Daily weight logs

I wanted a simplistic meal tracker that didn’t require an account login and this is the one

Devs to achieve a full 5 star rating I believe these changes:

-Data export either pdf or doc form
-Show the remaining caloric values instead if just the percentage (eg. “40g remaining“ or -40g etc.)
-Calendar view (show the entire months progress on one page color coded to which days met the target values) as of now it is a bit cumbersome switching between the days to check past progress

Simple and Effective

I just started using calorieai and for being free. I think it offers a lot of wonderful options. I like the dark mode viewing, I like how to see the fat, calorie, and carb percentages, and I like being able to specifically set my daily allowance for each thing and not rely on a preset number.

The one thing I would like to see is if the developer could make it so features could cross talk with each other. Like when I want to add, saved items that I could pull from past days of entries, or past meals, or use prior exercise logs for future days. We create an option where you save specific exercises that you know you’ll do every day.

One other helpful suggestion, if we could specify what the serving actually represented : by ounces, cups, grams, etc.

Overall, I am going to try and use this more often .

Great app, needs one improvement

This is a great calorie counter app. I have already recommended to friends that are trying to lose weight. My only suggestion is I would like to see the ability to re-run the questionnaire that runs on first use. When you launch it asks you your weight, height, and how aggressive you want to be in losing weight. This is great but as I lose weight, I want to run it again so calorieai can calculate my goal calories again. If this option exists, I can’t find it.

Almost perfect

Love calorieai and how efficient/simple it is. The ai feature also seems to be accurate enough for estimates which is very handy. Only issue is you aren’t able to adjust your calorie goals/macros after you do the original survey at the beginning when you download. would love that functionality to adjust things as your body changes or if your goals change between cut/Bulk/maintain

Amazing option to track calories

Amazing app to track calories. I don’t need all that information that other apps offer, and the AI option here to add foods works pretty well. I wish that add soon the possibility of syncing the info with iCloud and Apple Health. Giving 5 stars so far.

Made fixes

The developers fixed the bug I have below. So all good. Nice simple app and interface.

Old bug - Consistently overwrites previous entries. When I enter food for dinner, something from lunch disappears. Essentially, this means that calorieai fails at doing the one thing it’s supposed to do.

Absolutely Amazing App

I literally can’t say anything bad about calorieai. It’s perfectly designed. It’s completely free as many fitness apps should be. It’s easy to use. It has AI scanning, barcode scanning, and you can save meal plans as a preset. It’s UI is impeccable. It looks and feels flawless like an app made by Apple.

my first ever review and all i can say is its easy to use and everything that you need to lose weight. and better then everything else ITS FREE FOR EVERYTHING IT OFFERS. if your looking to lose weight and not want to work out calorieai is definitely recommended

Completely free

I haven’t written a review in a while. I wanted to thank the dev(s) for making such useful and simple app to track macros. I used to use myfitnesspal when it was “free” now they ask for subscription to even freakin scan a barcode. So i am glad I downloaded calorieai.

My favorite calorie tracker!

I love calorieai! It’s simple, straightforward, and it’s completely free. You don’t need to subscribe to an irritating subscription program to access basic content.
One thing though: I would like the ability to add the times you ate something. I forget what time I ate something a few days after, and I would really appreciate the ability to have it down in the same app.

Great App, Super Clean and Easy

This is a great app. I used to use MyFitnessPal but it got complicated and was looking for something simple. This idea it! Super easy, clean, slick. I would appreciate a feature to automatically add manual adds to saved foods and also be able to pull aingle (vs full day) past entries into the current day.

So simple

I love the fact that there are no ads, it’s super straightforward, and it looks amazing. calorieai might save my weight loss journey. It’s so easy to use. I also love the AI built inside, which helps me when trying to calculate more difficult meals. It can be sort of a hassle at times, but it’s a great feature.

But I had a question beside appreciating developers for making such an amazing awesome app and it’s FREE! So
If you guys could make iPhone widgets for calorieai so that even wi though having to open calorieai we could get a glance on our micronutrients intake that would be on another level really recommended app

Easiest calorie Journal

This is the simplest, easiest calorie journal I have used!!! Love the AI add because I make my own meals and make up some crazy recipes and hate having to take the time to find and add each individual ingredient one by one like the other apps but with this I can just describe it in writing and it comes up with the rest for me, it’s so easy!

Great App

Very simple design and not overbearing. Love it a lot more than any other app i’ve tried! main thing i’d like added is a search bar to search through my saved food items. after a while it gets a little hard to find something in the giant list that you’ll eventually have.
if that gets added calorieai would be perfect!

Simple and Elegant

I absolutely love this calorie tracker. It’s straight forward, easy to navigate, and perfect for my needs. I hate the other apps that charge exorbitant subscription prices and hound you with unnecessary clutter like recipe suggestions and notifications. calorieai just does exactly what you need and none of the other clutter. The only thing I would like to see added is an option to track your fiber intake.

Doesn’t work…

Okay so I put in all my information and it says I need to eat 416g of protein (actually impossible) and I just need to eat 3704kcal which is like 3 million calories. And I can’t even change it to regular calories. I’m so very confused
