WidgetBeats: Music Widget Reviews

I figured one star was harsh, so I’m going half. The visual of the widget is so frickin cool. The cassette look is my favorite. But the rest are really cool.

The downside is the widget doesn’t update with the songs, and the controls don’t work. You try to click them, and it just brings you to their app.

Needs some way to make that happen, if possible. But the idea is great. Keep it going.

It didn’t even work. The widget freezes all black even if you connect Spotify or Apple Music doesn’t work. I have iPhone 13, so I doubt it’s the phones fault. Very bad review from me.

The widget doesn’t load with Spotify

I love the idea of WidgetBeats but the widget doesn’t appear when i am playing music. The widget just shows the buttons but it’s blurry like nothing is playing and i’m not sure how to fix that. I am on the new software update. Thank you.

I want my $5 back for premium because it doesn't even work and im very unhappy. Vinyl doesn't spin wi5h premium. Music is way behind anf doesn't keep up with the song that's currently playing. Horrible horrible premium. DO NOT BUY PREMIUM! Waste of money i will never get back. When you click on the widget it takes you yo their app. Not my music.

The idea is AWSOME. But the widget does not update when switching through songs PLEASE FIX THIS AND HAVE AN UPDATE ASAP . I payed 3$ and the least y’all can do is make WidgetBeats work 90% functional. 😫

I added it to my home screen after i bought premium for the vinyl feature and nothing loads in. don’t download

When you don’t have premium you are limited to only 1 type with different sizes and all widgets should just be free

Saw a TikTok about WidgetBeats and thought it looked cool. Now let’s keep it a buck, no one uses Apple Music, I know maybe 2 people in my life that use Apple Music. Quicker Spotify support would be amazing.

not everyone that has an iphone uses apple music or spotify.. why cant youtube music be apart of WidgetBeats ? thats my main source of music and from what i seen WidgetBeats seems rlly cool so im extremely disappointed.

Y’all need to chill WidgetBeats just came out and they are going to have problems right now!! I think WidgetBeats is nice tho I wish hopefully soon they add the feature with Spotify and YouTube music!! but overall WidgetBeats does have some problems but they could get fixed soon yall just need to be patient

I downloaded it… seems like a pretty cool idea but no Spotify connection yet, any idea when that will be out?

I enjoy WidgetBeats I love how it can look.
The only problem I have if the Spotify is not on their it says aiming soon but those are never true.

You need to update soon I’ll come back and give a 5 star if Spotify works with it in a few days.

i like it but it doesnt have my music streaming app because i dont use spotify or apple music i use an app called musi so if u could add it then that would be really nice thanks!

I love this. I just wish it worked. Paid for premium and it is delayed. It takes half the wing for it to update the widget. I will keep WidgetBeats in hopes of it improving.

Don’t waste your money

I have seen this on instagram and I thought I was cool so I downloaded it. WidgetBeats finished downloading and I open it, when I open it, it has to choices.
1: Apple Music
2:Spotify
So I choose Spotify, Then it said coming soon.
So please add Spotify soon pls.

EDIT: I figured out how to Restore, just click “Purchase Premium” and it will restore premium access no charge! This is a really cool app and I’m glad I found you!! Keep up the great work!!

I upgraded to your Premium package on Sep 28 and everything worked great till I bought the new iPhone yesterday. When I tried to “Restore Purchase” it just spins and spins. This is supposed to be a lifetime purchase. I enjoy your app but not enough to pay for it again!! Please fix!!

Add spotify please

Hello, we appreciate this new updated version, but I was once a subscriber and now it doesn't show me as a subscriber anymore. It's not even displayed on the screen anymore. What's really going on? Please fix it.

The player wont pop up, i want want my money back. Definitely could’ve spent my money on a nicer one

Visually very pleasing. the vinyl spinning looks great with the songs artwork - when it works. sometimes it doesn’t switch when the song changes, or it take a minute to refresh to the new song. also wish that by clicking the widget the music app would open instead of the widget app. i’ll keep WidgetBeats in hopes that future updates will improve the function but as for now i’m going back to apple’s own music widget.

WidgetBeats is junk. It doesn’t change songs. It doesn’t work most of the time. Great idea that doesn’t do what it was intended to do. Don’t waste your money.

Just purchased this and was really excited about the Spotify connection. However, it doesn’t do anything!

I tried to reinstall…now the “lifetime” premium I purchased can’t be found. Yeah, seems legit!

Saw an ad on Instagram, decided to give it a try. Looked good in theory, but once downloaded and paid 2.99 for premium, it does nothing. Won’t show anything but a greyed out interface and box. Deleted and redownloaded it thinking it may be a glitch, but to no avail. Don’t waste your money, it doesn’t work.

Got WidgetBeats after updating my phone to iOS 17. Least to say I’m disappointed. I’ve tried countless times, it doesn’t give me the “transparent background” nor does it show the music on the widget when I add it to my home screen.

When adding the widget on the phone, it’s completely grayed out with just a gray box. This is a wonderful idea and I would love to see it fixed. Thanks so much!

Doesn’t work. Not even the standard non transparent mode works. If I could go back in time I wouldn’t buy this

With transparency mode it doesn’t even add to your home screen. WidgetBeats is trash
