I’m not gonna be mean about this but let me be honest. If you make something for everyone to use a four year should be able to download this and use it immediately without TVRemoteSmartTVControl asking for money. Don’t make TVRemoteSmartTVControl if it’s not gonna be free especially when people actually need to use it because not everybody got money. I’m not trying to be mean but honestly bsfr 😭

Unable to do anything with app without subscribing. Downloaded to use with Roku and was unable to even complete the set up process due to the pay wall. Appears TVRemoteSmartTVControl knows it’s bad as when trying to delete it they have a small messages asking you not to remove TVRemoteSmartTVControl .

They are trying to charge you for something that the official Roku app does completely free. It tricked me, but I took the time to leave this review!

I purchased TVRemoteSmartTVControl for 3 days free trial to try if is working on my tvs before buy and they charged on my credit card at the moment

I downloaded this to make it easier on myself instead of buying loads of triple A batteries, but why would i download a free app only to pay to actually use its main function. A little disappointed

I downloaded TVRemoteSmartTVControl and signed up for a free trial, cancelled it after it was done and now they try to say owe them money! Many other good Roku apps do NOT download this one they will scam you unless you want to pay for features you can get for free on another app!

If u don’t want to waste money, don’t download. You have to pay a whole subscription just to use more than 2 buttons, like wthhh??? Just download the official Roku app, I should’ve have done it before downloading this one. The Roku app is free and they have many more options, I love it so much. YOU CAN EVEN USE YOUR AIRPODS ON THE TVV!! (On the official Roku app). So go download the other one because this one is not worth it. 😾

Including tax, TVRemoteSmartTVControl costs $7.55 per week, which adds up to $392 each year. Why would anyone pay $392 for a TV remote on one’s phone? I didn’t realize I was paying for TVRemoteSmartTVControl every week, oops. No idea if TVRemoteSmartTVControl works.

YOU HAVE TO PAY ?? For a remote that probably won’t even work. And it’s the fact that it’s not permanent, you have to pay 27 dollars every month, and if you want it permanently you have to pay 40 dollars. What a rip off.

I’m not saying this is a bad app, I’m sure it works! But I really would not know because I have to pay for literally every button you click. I understand you need to pay for things, but everything? Even the up down left and right and ok button? Are you serious dude? What if I’m just getting TVRemoteSmartTVControl because I need it and I’m a child? I’m not always going to have enough money for WEEKLY things. At least make the middle

Why pay $7.00 every month just for a iPhone remote if you can just buy a new one if you lose it and you could just be paying it if you don’t even use your tv that often it’s absolutely useless and they just want your money

roku has its own app where you can control it for free. These ppl are trying to make you pay 30+ dollars to press the buttons. SCAM

TVRemoteSmartTVControl would be amazing but you have to pay for literally EVERYTHING. Every single button you press you have to pay for. And I was sitting in my room trying to connect because my remote needs new batteries but you have to pay for every button even the up, down, left, right, ok, AND POWER ON BUTTON. LIKE SERIOUSLY?! Not only that, it couldn’t connect to the tv that is 5 feet in front of me. You need to work on TVRemoteSmartTVControl A LOT.

I’ve used this in the past when I’m in a bind or can’t find my remote. Now they want 6.99 a month or 40 for a life time pass! FOR A REMOTE! I’m so tired of every single company trying to get a piece of my paycheck. My current remote just broke so I’m stuck with no remote until I can replace it, I thought I would use this to get me by but now I can’t even do that! I’m so sick and tired of it. If there was a half decent option available I’d switch to them. This is disgusting customer service and a pathetic attempt at trying to rinse your customers.

Got TVRemoteSmartTVControl bc my sister accidentally packed the remote with her when she went home to Philly. So literally jus waiting for it in the mail. Well I can’t even watch tv bc you have to pay for every button you press. This is a crazy concept. I only gave you one star bc I couldn’t give you none. Terrible app

I never do app reviews, but it’s gotten to the point where I have to. As you know, lots of people lose their TV remotes in the couch cushions in blankets like it’s a normal thing well what if in the event you are sick and your body hurts to move and you’ve been stuck on the couch for a week now and you lose your TV remote but you wanna sit and watch TV and you see there’s an app where you can use your phone to control your TV when I saw this, I immediately thought that’s great now if I lose my remote, I know it’s on my phone and I’ll still be able to look for my remote, but I’m able to continue watching my show on my TV with my phone remote and go to the reviews as TVRemoteSmartTVControl is downloading and quickly come to see that not many people like TVRemoteSmartTVControl so I decide to go see what’s going on and I’m not even able to sync TVRemoteSmartTVControl to my TV without it asking for me to pay. I hit the exit at the top and I can’t even press the button without asking for money. what if I am short on money but still wanna watch my Netflix series please get back to me as soon as possible but this is not OK and I really hope that you take my review and finally understand that loads of customers are upset about not being able to controller TV from their phone

DO NOT download this at all. Here’s the story: so currently I cannot find my roku remote. I use hotspot on my tv bc I haven’t gotten Wi-Fi yet. So my tv gets cut off the internet when my hotspot turns off or when I turn it off. Every app I’ve downloaded says I need to have my tv connected to the same internet as my phone to use the universal mobile remote… how am I gonna do that when I can’t find my remote to connect my tv to the hotspot 😡😡. This is the only app I found where I didn’t need to have both my phone and tv connected to the same internet to use it. In conclusion… u have to pay for TVRemoteSmartTVControl to use a SINGLE button on it. RIDICULOUS SCAMMERS!

I have vacation rental homes in the poconos.
In all we have 60. Yes 60. TCL ROKU TV’s.
I have had Roku app for years and really enjoyed. The private listening feature where I could use wired headphones plugged into my IPhone and not disturb my wife. Out of nowhere the feature no longer works in TVRemoteSmartTVControl . The option is still there. Just no sound through phone speaker or headphones. So i figure they have another app more up to date. Well TVRemoteSmartTVControl Store was very limited and the only one I found with private listening want to charge $6.99 per week. Outrageous

They have made it impossible to cancel their subscription once purchased. The customer service department only responds every few days via Facebook message. If you attempt to contact any other way there is no response. When they do they give you instructions to do things in TVRemoteSmartTVControl that don’t exist to prolong the subscription. They also refuse to cancel it for you. Absolute nightmare of an experience with TVRemoteSmartTVControl. Save your time and money and just go buy a remote these people are criminals.

I really don’t see why you have to pay for this it’s literally a remote and every button I click I have to pay but sometimes people can’t pay cause they are children and don’t have a job but just want to have something that they can have but I dont like how they are charging me for EVERY button I click like you could just at least let us do the up down left right and ok button and I’m sure it works fine but I will never know cause I’m not paying for this

I only had TVRemoteSmartTVControl for a day or so before uninstalling it. Why would I pay for a remote app when there are free ones out there? And then come to find out that I’ve been getting charged 7 dollars a week for a subscription to a remote app that I don’t have!! Unbelievable! Why wouldn’t I just buy a replacement remote instead of spending $42 on a mediocre remote app?

Sounds all good. Until you go through the 5 minute set up, answering questions and such just to realize that you’re gonna have to pay a subscription…. Ummm. NO!

I can’t use remote because to many pop up advertisements

Ok so at first, it was working really well and I was surprised. But now it’s not letting ANY of the buttons work and says I need to pay for a trial to unlock some of the buttons. I guess by SOME they meant ALL.

Don’t try to trick me I hate that TVRemoteSmartTVControl is not ROKU and it is not free. Apple should be ashamed for putting it up first in a Roku search. It looks like Roku the colors are the same as Roku BUT ITS NOT ROKU. Its a trick

Fails to connect to network

I purchased the premium version and it never works. We can't change the volume or use the back button. I attempted to contact support 3 different times through email and Facebook and they do not respond. TVRemoteSmartTVControl is a scam.

Terrible. You get an add or a reminder to upgrade every 2 clicks. Don’t download it!

Roku has the same app for free! And even when you do pay for it ($7 per week crazy) it doesn’t work well. THIS IS A SCAM!!! I wonder how they have accumulated all those 5 star reviews must be bots or something…

Doesnt let me hit more then 2 buttons without a long video ad.🙄after awhile it didnt let me use any buttons without trying to make me spend $$$

This is a scam as soon as you try to touch any of the buttons it says that you have to get a subscription to get all the buttons So I did not recommend this to anybody

I couldn’t press nothing because I have to do a free trial and it dad if you don’t pay you get to press some buttons but when I didn’t pay I could press nothing . PLEASE DONT MAKE THENSAME MISTAKE I DID. 🙏🏾

I would like to have the remote on my phone and I wasn’t sure what app was the official at first so I just got this one. I have to pay to use the remote part- at this rate just make it so you have to pay for TVRemoteSmartTVControl ? Like what? As a teen that as a TV I’m not gonna ask my parent to pay for a app remote.

So when I loaded up my TV for this and I found my thing, everything is going perfectly and until when I tried to connect even though it said it was available I connected and it said unable to connect to your TV unable, and it said it was available so I’m just buzzed out on that

OK but kind of ridiculous it wants to charge $6.99 weekly for a remote app. I wound up paying $30 for the lifetime subscription for the remote but it's asinine that it cost that much. It should have cost $6.99 for the lifetime subscription. Next time I will reconsider purchasing a roku TV if they are going to be this greedy over the remote for the TV!!

Basically I downloaded TVRemoteSmartTVControl cool but it was all fine until I made-a mistake and pressed the headphone button and now I can’t hear I keep turning it off and on but still is not working

As soon as I got TVRemoteSmartTVControl cause I lost my remote i tried to connect it but it wouldn’t work. As soon as I connected it everything said free trial $6.99 it’s ridiculous

I cannot write a review at this time because I have sent ROKU a message that I am experiencing huge difficulty getting my new apple iPhone remote ROKU connected and operating the television in my bedroom and, the home theatre and now the gathering room which has always connected well, now NO ROKU AVAILABLE!!!

This is a great app so far but there are a few in app purchases that block you initially from using this remote. It has volume control where my actual Roku remote does not. Way more features overall. Great app!

Really helpful when I can’t find my control

Very nice for Roku tv owners. No need to pay for a subscription for a remote app when Roku offers this free app not just for the remote but to look at new release movies and shows. I lost my remote more then once and the remote app on here helps a lot. Thanks ROKU.

I can finally prank my family when there watching tv

This the best one I have used and it is actually more better than the one I have it keeps me on the tv I was on last time I was on and was very happy
