YOU HAVE TO PAY ?? For a this app that probably won’t even work. And it’s the fact that it’s not permanent, you have to pay 27 dollars every month, and if you want it permanently you have to pay 40 dollars. What a rip off.

Don’t try to trick me I hate that Remote is not ROKU and it is not free. Apple should be ashamed for putting it up first in a Roku search. It looks like Roku the colors are the same as Roku BUT ITS NOT ROKU. Its a trick

Ok so at first, it was working really well and I was surprised. But now it’s not letting ANY of the buttons work and says I need to pay for a trial to unlock some of the buttons. I guess by SOME they meant ALL.

Sorry for the bad review but I’m just being honest. Thanks for letting me use 2 clicks I guess..

Unable to do anything with app without subscribing. Downloaded to use with Roku and was unable to even complete the set up process due to the pay wall. Appears Remote knows it’s bad as when trying to delete it they have a small messages asking you not to remove Remote .

If u don’t want to waste money, don’t download. You have to pay a whole subscription just to use more than 2 buttons, like wthhh??? Just download the official Roku app, I should’ve have done it before downloading this one. The Roku app is free and they have many more options, I love it so much. YOU CAN EVEN USE YOUR AIRPODS ON THE TVV!! (On the official Roku app). So go download the other one because this one is not worth it. 😾

Roku has the same app for free! And even when you do pay for it ($7 per week crazy) it doesn’t work well. THIS IS A SCAM!!! I wonder how they have accumulated all those 5 star reviews must be bots or something…

I’m not saying this is a bad app, I’m sure it works! But I really would not know because I have to pay for literally every button you click. I understand you need to pay for things, but everything? Even the up down left and right and ok button? Are you serious dude? What if I’m just getting Remote because I need it and I’m a child? I’m not always going to have enough money for WEEKLY things. At least make the middle

This is a scam as soon as you try to touch any of the buttons it says that you have to get a subscription to get all the buttons So I did not recommend this to anybody

I couldn’t press nothing because I have to do a free trial and it dad if you don’t pay you get to press some buttons but when I didn’t pay I could press nothing . PLEASE DONT MAKE THENSAME MISTAKE I DID. 🙏🏾

I purchased the premium version and it never works. We can't change the volume or use the back button. I attempted to contact support 3 different times through email and Facebook and they do not respond. Remote is a scam.

Including tax, Remote costs $7.55 per week, which adds up to $392 each year. Why would anyone pay $392 for a TV this app on one’s phone? I didn’t realize I was paying for Remote every week, oops. No idea if Remote works.

Remote would be amazing but you have to pay for literally EVERYTHING. Every single button you press you have to pay for. And I was sitting in my room trying to connect because my this app needs new batteries but you have to pay for every button even the up, down, left, right, ok, AND POWER ON BUTTON. LIKE SERIOUSLY?! Not only that, it couldn’t connect to the tv that is 5 feet in front of me. You need to work on Remote A LOT.

I downloaded Remote and signed up for a free trial, cancelled it after it was done and now they try to say owe them money! Many other good Roku apps do NOT download this one they will scam you unless you want to pay for features you can get for free on another app!

I’ve used this in the past when I’m in a bind or can’t find my this app. Now they want 6.99 a month or 40 for a life time pass! FOR A this app! I’m so tired of every single company trying to get a piece of my paycheck. My current this app just broke so I’m stuck with no this app until I can replace it, I thought I would use this to get me by but now I can’t even do that! I’m so sick and tired of it. If there was a half decent option available I’d switch to them. This is disgusting customer service and a pathetic attempt at trying to rinse your customers.

I have vacation rental homes in the poconos.
In all we have 60. Yes 60. TCL ROKU TV’s.
I have had Roku app for years and really enjoyed. The private listening feature where I could use wired headphones plugged into my IPhone and not disturb my wife. Out of nowhere the feature no longer works in Remote . The option is still there. Just no sound through phone speaker or headphones. So i figure they have another app more up to date. Well Remote Store was very limited and the only one I found with private listening want to charge $6.99 per week. Outrageous

DO NOT download this at all. Here’s the story: so currently I cannot find my roku this app. I use hotspot on my tv bc I haven’t gotten Wi-Fi yet. So my tv gets cut off the internet when my hotspot turns off or when I turn it off. Every app I’ve downloaded says I need to have my tv connected to the same internet as my phone to use the universal mobile this app… how am I gonna do that when I can’t find my this app to connect my tv to the hotspot 😡😡. This is the only app I found where I didn’t need to have both my phone and tv connected to the same internet to use it. In conclusion… u have to pay for Remote to use a SINGLE button on it. RIDICULOUS SCAMMERS!

I never do app reviews, but it’s gotten to the point where I have to. As you know, lots of people lose their TV remotes in the couch cushions in blankets like it’s a normal thing well what if in the event you are sick and your body hurts to move and you’ve been stuck on the couch for a week now and you lose your TV this app but you wanna sit and watch TV and you see there’s an app where you can use your phone to control your TV when I saw this, I immediately thought that’s great now if I lose my this app, I know it’s on my phone and I’ll still be able to look for my this app, but I’m able to continue watching my show on my TV with my phone this app and go to the reviews as Remote is downloading and quickly come to see that not many people like Remote so I decide to go see what’s going on and I’m not even able to sync Remote to my TV without it asking for me to pay. I hit the exit at the top and I can’t even press the button without asking for money. what if I am short on money but still wanna watch my Netflix series please get back to me as soon as possible but this is not OK and I really hope that you take my review and finally understand that loads of customers are upset about not being able to controller TV from their phone

I’m not gonna be mean about this but let me be honest. If you make something for everyone to use a four year should be able to download this and use it immediately without Remote asking for money. Don’t make Remote if it’s not gonna be free especially when people actually need to use it because not everybody got money. I’m not trying to be mean but honestly bsfr 😭

I only had Remote for a day or so before uninstalling it. Why would I pay for a this app app when there are free ones out there? And then come to find out that I’ve been getting charged 7 dollars a week for a subscription to a this app app that I don’t have!! Unbelievable! Why wouldn’t I just buy a replacement this app instead of spending $42 on a mediocre this app app?

I really don’t see why you have to pay for this it’s literally a this app and every button I click I have to pay but sometimes people can’t pay cause they are children and don’t have a job but just want to have something that they can have but I dont like how they are charging me for EVERY button I click like you could just at least let us do the up down left right and ok button and I’m sure it works fine but I will never know cause I’m not paying for this

They have made it impossible to cancel their subscription once purchased. The customer service department only responds every few days via Facebook message. If you attempt to contact any other way there is no response. When they do they give you instructions to do things in Remote that don’t exist to prolong the subscription. They also refuse to cancel it for you. Absolute nightmare of an experience with Remote. Save your time and money and just go buy a this app these people are criminals.

Got Remote bc my sister accidentally packed the this app with her when she went home to Philly. So literally jus waiting for it in the mail. Well I can’t even watch tv bc you have to pay for every button you press. This is a crazy concept. I only gave you one star bc I couldn’t give you none. Terrible app

I would like to have the this app on my phone and I wasn’t sure what app was the official at first so I just got this one. I have to pay to use the this app part- at this rate just make it so you have to pay for Remote ? Like what? As a teen that as a TV I’m not gonna ask my parent to pay for a app this app.

OK but kind of ridiculous it wants to charge $6.99 weekly for a this app app. I wound up paying $30 for the lifetime subscription for the this app but it's asinine that it cost that much. It should have cost $6.99 for the lifetime subscription. Next time I will reconsider purchasing a roku TV if they are going to be this greedy over the this app for the TV!!

So when I loaded up my TV for this and I found my thing, everything is going perfectly and until when I tried to connect even though it said it was available I connected and it said unable to connect to your TV unable, and it said it was available so I’m just buzzed out on that

This is a great app so far but there are a few in app purchases that block you initially from using this this app. It has volume control where my actual Roku this app does not. Way more features overall. Great app!

Very nice for Roku tv owners. No need to pay for a subscription for a this app app when Roku offers this free app not just for the this app but to look at new release movies and shows. I lost my this app more then once and the this app app on here helps a lot. Thanks ROKU.
