My Shift Planner Reviews

MyShiftPlanner seemed confused, sometimes showing US date format (month, day, year) and sometimes international. I couldn’t find a way to change it, so I ditched MyShiftPlanner . The developer says this is down to the settings on the phone, and there lies the problem. So many apps rely on this, it’s extremely annoying. Provide an option to change settings within MyShiftPlanner ! So many apps seem to think that because I’m in the UK I use metric measures. WRONG. So I have had to switch to US settings to force apps to use miles, for example. Ideally every app should allow independent setting of date format, and metric vs imperial measurements, as you are forced to choose one or the other being wrong.

Awesome scheduling app and I love that it connects to my phone calendar. I do however with there was a pay period setting. In my line of work and with the schedule I have I get paid different amounts per check based on how many days per pay period. If there was a feature that would calculate days works per each pay period that would be cool. Also I get paid on 15th and 30th the current set up is every two weeks or monthly and if I try and enter it every 2 weeks down the road the dates become way off from the 15th and 30th.

I like the different options for shifts (ie. Night, day, midday, etc.), and I appreciate that they are different colors! You don’t designate colors based on different facilities you work at, like some apps do, but instead based on the type of shift you are working. This works great for me because I work nights and midday shifts, and I only work at one facility. It’s easy to text a picture of the schedule to my family so they can save it too! I like it!
There are adds at the bottom of the screen, but they don’t get in the way. It would also be cool if you could customize the name and/or color of your shifts.

One of the things I would love to see added would be is a “who’s on” feature. I have four calendars set up using the DuPont Schedule for the four different shifts we have, A,B,C,D. I would like a way to quickly see which shifts are on, off. We have two shifts each day, a day shift and a night shift. I think the easiest way would be to have a “who’s on” tab beside the “am I on” tab, have it look across the calendars you have. It would be nice if each day would show the opposite shift based on which calendar you’re currently using, but the “who’s on” tab seems simpler, it would be nice to se it in each shift calendar though.

MyShiftPlanner is such a lifesaver! My husbands schedule rotates in a really odd fashion and I could never keep up. My schedule flips opposite each week(work Wednesday and Thursday off the other days, next week off Wednesday and Thursday work the other days in That week) it was impossible for me to coordinate appointments on the go, until I set us both up on MyShiftPlanner! Now I can see what either of us work at any point!
It does bear saying that it was a wee bit of a headache to schedule both of them, the interface could be better but overall it works very well!

Before I downloaded it, I saw other apps but the cost was either to high or it just didn’t do what I was looking for. I’ve had MyShiftPlanner for two weeks and it’s great! Easy to enter my time for the week and it keeps track of it. Haven’t gotten Pro yet but will do soon. I would recommend MyShiftPlanner. Update: I updated to Pro and it is great. I can find out my total hours for the week or month. Great extra features in pro that allow you do more if needed. UPDATE: MyShiftPlanner continues to be my favorite. It does what it supposed to and more. I would recommend it greatly.

Been working what I now know is the DuPont schedule for 13 years now and have used numerous apps attempting to track it. This one is by far the easiest I’ve ever encountered. The only thing I wish it it had was an option to set it so that after like, 40 hours in a period it counted it as overtime hours but that’s only because MyShiftPlanner amazingly tracks your hours for you or I’d have never even thought about it.

When I first downloaded MyShiftPlanner it was a little buggy and hard to work. Let me tell you after a few updates, this has been my go to. Perfect for anyone with a rotating schedule, boss having to schedule everyone or someone just wanting to keep up with their paydays.
I’m enjoying every minute of my crazy schedule because I know what’s coming up next.

I would probably have been fired by now if it wasn’t for MyShiftPlanner. My work has a crazy rotating schedule and MyShiftPlanner has been everything to me the past 5 years that I’ve been using it. You can enter custom rotations if they don’t have a preset one that matches. You can also mark vacations, holidays, and paydays. I’m telling you without this app my life would be upside down

Once you figure out how to use MyShiftPlanner it’s really simple and incredibly efficient to set your calendar. I work in the oil field and my schedule is two weeks on/two weeks off. It was hard when someone asked me when I was gonna be free in October, but now that I have my calendar marked ahead; I’m able to let someone know when I’m available. Hopefully MyShiftPlanner works for you as great as it did for me. Oh and it’s free! Give it a shot!

I work a rotating 12 hour schedule. I work 3 day shifts and then 2 off, then 2 night shifts then 3 off, then 2 day shifts, then 2 off then 3 night shifts, then 2 off, then 2 day shifts, then 3 off, then 2 night shifts then 2 off. This is a 28 day repeater. This schedule tracker can do that indefinitely as well as manage overtime, vacation and holiday time and even sick time. If it can handle all that, it should be a breeze for the 9-5.

Before I started using “my shift”, I had tried several other apps, but none has given me the kind of satisfaction I have enjoyed with this. It has helped me to stay organized and focused without missing out on the most important tasks relating to my work schedule. I have since introduced several of my friends to MyShiftPlanner , and they are having the same experience and satisfaction. Thank you “my shift”.

I work the DuPont schedule, and was pleased to find an app that knows what this is! I have been using this app for almost 4 years now. It makes scheduling appointments a breeze since I can see months/years in advance. It’s highly customizable, but not overly complicated. My favorite feature is that I can overlay my schedule with my friend’s schedule which allows us to plan get togethers. I highly recommend MyShiftPlanner.

I normally don’t write reviews, but for MyShiftPlanner I must. MyShiftPlanner is by far, better than any app I have tested. I’ve tried several other shift apps but this one takes the cake. It’s extremely customizable, extremely easy to set up my schedule, and has a ton of other features. One of other reasons I decided on MyShiftPlanner over others was that I can share my schedule and in real time with other “my shift planner “ users. I did choose the subscribe option, but with what MyShiftPlanner offers it was a no brainer.

I can potentially work many different shifts and duties in our hospital pharmacy. It is crazy to try and keep them all straight, especially if you are randomly assigned a weekend! MyShiftPlanner has been a game changer. I have set up all the shifts, I enter them in the calendar when the new schedule is posted, love them option for an alert, AND I can share it to my phone calendar and get extra alerts on days I wouldn’t normally work. Love it!!! 💙

My current place of employment doesn’t utilize a work schedule app like whenIWork or Stogo. And the schedule changes so frequently, it started to become pointless to write it out by hand. The ability to create shifts and patterns helps significantly. And the option to edit one shift without destroying the base pattern is wonderful. So while my schedule is still all over the place, this app makes it easier to keep track and make last minute changes.

I recently went back to work; as a third party Independent Contractor, when I receive my bookings MyShiftPlanner makes it really convenient and easy! I can add to what days and what appointment times I will be having - not only within the week but month. This is a great app to oversee the month and get a glimpse of your busy day ahead. I have to make sure I have guest names, times and what type of Massage Treatment they will be having so this makes it really nice to oversee my day in MyShiftPlanner .

MyShiftPlanner is easy to use and I can glance very quickly at it and be able to see exactly which days I’m working because the day is highlighted and I am able to notice if it’s day or night shift. And when I click on the day I can add a note for what floor it is. Love MyShiftPlanner and helps me keep up with everything. Will be really handy when school starts and clinicals and I can differentiate between work clinical and school right away. Highly recommend.

MyShiftPlanner has been a calming effect on us my husband (retired) just couldn’t remember my schedule and if I picked up extra days. So when my daughter started with her new schedule noc shift she found MyShiftPlanner from recommendations so now my husband can see both our schedules and with MyShiftPlanner he was able to plan a trip for the two of us around my bulk days off. Now my son is back to work and he has also put in his schedule for both of his jobs

Love the automatic shift feature I work a 4 on 4 off schedule and this is the only app that has that as a pre scheduled option. One downside is that it can get confusing on the night turns because it doesn’t actually show the first night that you come out just the morning when you finish the shift. Definitely the best app though hands down.
