Very disappointed!!!.WARNING!!!I think it’s a SCAM!!!

So, I input all my credentials to create my account, and after I completed in putting all my credentials, I was immediately denied access. I went to the chat today, Monday, April 28, 2025, and asked why I was denied. I didn’t receive a response. The chat bot said I would receive a response after a few minutes. And it never happened. I even deleted JIM after 30 minutes of not receiving a response. Then I downloaded JIM again and went right back to the chat and ask a question again, and still no response. My previous questions were still there and not deleted. Therefore I think JIM is a scam. Also, the fact that you can only sign up using your Apple ID , you can’t even choose your own email to sign up, yet it’s supposed to be a business account. I was wanting to use my business email, but I’m not able to do so. This is a huge issue that no one even responded back to me. Another thing is that there’s no phone number for this business, no Customer Service number or anything. The only way to contact someone is through a chat and you can’t even get through to anybody. I do not recommend downloading JIM at all. I knew it sounded too good to be true usually when something seems too good to be true, it most likely is. WARNING!!! Don’t fall for the OKIE DOKE!

So disappointed

JIM allows you to accept money but I can’t use my funds. I’ve applied it to my apple wallet and have not been able to use not even at the gas station. The card declines every transaction even though the money is clearly on JIM ! There is no way to transfer the funds off this card either so my money just sits here and unable to be used. Essentially I feel like they’ve scammed and stolen my funds. I’d much rather just receive my funds to my business account! Stay away from JIM until they figure this out!

Very Limited Options

So the concept of JIM is wonderful but they make it so restricted. For example you can’t add funds to Apple Cash they don’t allow it. You can’t pull the funds from bank side that’s not allowed as well. You can’t even see your information to update it anywhere I could find in JIM without contacting customer service. They don’t give many options at all which is fine going with minimal but there is some things that is a bit to minimal and causes inconvenience and headache for their clients such as myself. I see JIM having great potential but right now it’s by far lower on the rating scale due to the headache of not being allowed to do something so simple such as to view and update personal info (example: view/edit address, email, phone number and lack of valid instructions to do these things.

Service

I’m give them a “3 star rating” until they do more updates. I’ve had them since may and this second time my account funds goes on hold. Just $14. without least notifying me. I just used the card earlier with no problem. It’s embarrassing to go into store and your card declined because they locked it. Thank god I got other cards too use. They need to upgrade they security where they notify they customers if they account on hold or to verify transactions. Other than that , they are good and it’s good card to use. But I wouldn’t suggest nobody to keep lot money on it.

Update: They are scam. Got email saying my account is terminated for no reasons . And $14 is being hold . Guess they terminated after my bad review. I don’t care. I’m filing complaint with the BBB

Don’t do it

Do not use JIM. It is a waste of time. You can only have your money on the virtual card you cannot transfer to any bank account or anything you can add it to Apple Pay but then you can’t use it on Apple Pay to send money to anyone it keeps declining it then when I call, they’re telling me oh we don’t have this feature reworking on. It’s no way for you to cash out and your card is being declined at lots of places so the money is just sitting on their virtual card.

The reason I don’t like the app

Earlier today I was looking and the money in my account. I just started a small business of making plates of food and bakery items like cookies, brownies, cakes and other items. I when
tried taking the money out of my account. And into an actual bank account. In the process I found out JIM doesn’t allow transfer transactions. Be aware of this because now I am forced to spend my money thru JIM ’s card when my intentions were to save the money.

Terrible

I signed up for this app. During onboarding I was asked to submit some documents and I submitted all that was asked and a day or so later my account was opened. I didn’t use the account right away as I didn’t have any clients making purchase with a card during the first few days that the account was opened. I received an email from this app about a week later saying that my account was being deactivated due to noncompliance with their terms and conditions…this after never using this app or even attempting to use this app. Imagine if I had used this joke processor and had funds tied up with them. These people are sketchy all around and any legitimate business should avoid this app like the plague.

I rather not use it

I was on TikTok and came across JIM. Upon checking out the advertisement, I decided to register but as I was almost done, I always have love reading reviews because it will tell me how good or bad the service is. So this being said, I downloaded the software and started reading more reviews. “ But”, One bad thing people saying, after they get paid, no transfers can’t be done and another is, someone register and couldn’t login and many other bad things. So I will not be signing with this company. It’s a deal breaker for me.

CAN’T LOG IN OR ACCESS FUNDS ANYMORE

At first, this app was extremely easy to set up as well as log in, and I was able to take payments for my business. However, after a few weeks, I am no longer able to even log in. Therefore, I have no access to my funds. I’ve contacted support but they have offered no help to find a solution to my inconvenience, in addition to their “hiccup” that they claim to be “working on.” I would advise to stay away from JIM if the issue to log in and access my funds remains to be unresolved. I will update this review if my issue is resolved.

Pros and Cons of using JIM

After one week of using this app, here’s what I wish I knew before. Probably wouldn’t have moved forward with using and providing all of my personal and business information.

PROS
✅ Easy to use, on your phone
✅ 1.99% instead of 3% most card readers charge

CONS
❌ You can ONLY use the money on your this app card through your phone, like Apple Pay
❌ You cannot deposit money from your sales into your business or checking account
❌ You cannot withdraw cash at an ATM
❌ It’s basically a prepaid card that you can only use for spending
❌ it didn’t accept my customers Costco Visa credit card. I had to use my normal credit card processor and it went through right away
❌ you cannot send invoices through email, manually input credit card numbers or take payments over the phone
❌ you cannot see what your balance is on JIM . You have to ask the AI Chatbot for your remaining balance.

Overall, I think it’s OK for taking payments if you have a small side hustle. But probably not best for running a small business. It’s still at the beginning stages. Hopefully it improves over time, but it still has a way to go.

Horrible customer service.

The only plus I see is funds are available almost instantly. I’m able to buy things online w Apple Pay. Unfortunately on Saturday I tried to pay at Home Depot and my card declined. Attempted to pay at Lowe’s, declined. I tried to get in touch w customer service and they are closed on the weekend. I pretty sure small businesses are using JIM. I use it for weekend markets. God help you if you don’t have a backup and need help on the weekend. It’s Monday morning and I’ve been waiting on the the online customer service chat for 30 mins and counting. This may work for others, not for me. Goodbye Jimmy.

STAY AWAY

So I was able to take 1 payment. I thought everything was good once I received the money in my bank account. The customer wanted me to fix a different phone so when I went to charge them it wouldn’t go thru. I ask customer service and they couldn’t even tell me why. The customer had the funds. this app just didn’t let the transaction go through. So if you have repeat customers it’s not going to work for them, Weird.

Good applicatikn downside can not transfer fund to primary bamk

The application is useful for backing up sales transactions, especially if you're selling a lot of products. However, one major downside is that you can't transfer funds to your primary business account. You can only use the debit card for purchases.
I would prefer to have the option to transfer my earnings directly to my main account. Hopefully, they’ll add that feature soon.

Works great unless you need cash or want to transfer money to another account.

Feels extremely sketchy to me that there is no way you can transfer money to another account or pull cash from an ATM. If you’re comfortable with them locking every penny away within JIM only allowing you Purchase things where Apple Pay is accepted then JIM is pretty great. Apple Pay or tap to pay whatever you wanna call it isn’t available everywhere and it’s extremely Limiting with what you can do with your hard earned money. Not to mention there’s tons of websites that just won’t let you pay with a virtual card. If they issue a physical debit card where you could pull out cash then I’d give it 5 stars but until then I will only be using JIM when I have no other option for accepting payment because feels like there’s some shady sketchy stuff going on here….

Catch

Yes there is a catch. You cannot simply pull your money out. You can use your it for Apple Pay and pay bills but you don’t have physical card. If you want to pull money you have to go buy something from Kroger and pull it that way. You can’t transfer it either. Also some of my clients won’t accept the receipt they claim its generic. Now I will say that they have added a tip feature which is good. I have it 5 stars because it’s still good just certain things you can and can’t do

Suspicious Activity

Easy set up! Verification went smoothly. I took 2 payments went through perfectly fine. When I ask for my sale history it’s shows a message “I’ll fetch your recent sale history right away”. But it never does. JIM needs more updates and features to make a business owner feel more comfortable with their wages.

Absolutely amazing app

I love it, it’s legit. You can take card payments as long as they have tap to pay on it and other phones work as well. There are a few gripes like no settings for JIM , pretty bare bones. I don’t like how I am not able to offer refunds directly from JIM , or even if there is a way to do so at all. Just more user functionality would be useful like the ability to name the specific item customer is buying etc. other than those things JIM the pretty amazing.

Really fast and easy to use

This is a great app and really simple to use. I make a sale, and the money is available immediately to spend via the this app card built into JIM . If I need to check historical sales or send receipts, I can do that really easily by asking the AI chat assistant to produce that for me.

Must Have

Must Have for any Small Business! It’s the easiest payment app available today. Have been using it for months and haven’t run into ANY problems! Very easy to add descriptions & tips to sale, depending of course whatever your purchasing. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic app & service

This is truly an excellent app for running a small business, not only is JIM awesome but I must say that the customer service and developer is top notch. I love it, and as it’s become a well-polished app since its launch. I couldn’t be without it. A must have!!!
