Paid app that went subscription

I bought HomeBatteries and it went subscription. I guess that’s fine since my purchase was maintained, but when I open HomeBatteries I get an ad to upgrade. It’s very annoying. There’s no option to turn it off from what I can see.

Great idea but…

It doesn’t show battery status for Aqara sensors.

Update: Note to developer. Consider updating HomeBatteries description to add the detail from your reply below. Currently it states that it can show batteries from all HomeKit devices, which isn’t exactly true. It doesn’t pick up battery level from Schlage locks either (at least one other App does). Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate HomeBatteries but I was bummed to learn about its limitations after buying.

Overall a good app

Just what I need to monitor battery conditions of all HomeKit accessories and recent update brought improvements with notifications and battery types used by accessories. However, I do wish the battery type info can be synced through iCloud so I do not need re-enter all the info again on iPad/iPhone. Also wish that we can order the accessories listed based on battery percentage left.

Add iCloud sync and this would be a lot more useful.

I just added all my battery details using my iPad, thinking they’d sync to my phone. But they don’t, and this likely means I’ll lose all that data if I ever have to restore from iCloud.

Clean and Simple

I like HomeBatteries. As the title implies, HomeBatteries is clean and simple. Developer communication is great, despite that the info I was looking for would’ve been self-diagnosed had I read the help section first. It’s a shame that some great and new devices from reputable manufacturers don’t send battery levels to HomeKit, but that doesn’t reflect on HomeBatteries. The only thing id ask for HomeBatteries to do is sync between devices.

Detailed Information?

Update: Thanks for the update with more detailed information!

Would be nice if more detailed information is provided after tapping the name of the device—if it’s a camera by Eufy, motion sensor by Hue, etc.

Nicely implemented status feature missing in native Home app

Well done app. A must for any Home App user with more than a few battery operated accessories.

The best app for Smart Device Batteries

I have several HomeKit type apps that do many things and some have similar functions to thus app but just a Swiss Army knife doesn’t excel at any one thing, Home batteries is the best app I’ve found for displaying information on my devices and battery states. The new 2.0 update is awesome. Also note it’s not just subscription based there is a low one time lifetime purchase price which is what I’m on board with it. This is for battery trends. Don’t need trends? Just use it a free app!

Works as advertised

Awesome! I can now keep track of the battery level on my Aqara G4 Doorbell from my Home Screen.

Just Get It

Outstanding app. Very useful if you have tons (or even just a few) of HomeKit accessories that use battery power. A great one stop shop to monitor batteries.

Doesn’t work with Aqara sensors

I’m giving 5 stars because it’s not the developers fault. Aqara doesn’t expose sensor data to HomeKit. Just wanted to warn people so they can make an informed purchase.

Amazing update in version 2.x

The number of updated and added features in version 2 made this already useful app even better. It was an instant subscribe for me. I regularly spend more than the annual subscription price on a single drink at a restaurant, and I get far less value from the drink. Thanks for continuing to add useful features to this somewhat niche app!

Great Home Utility

I absolutely love this tool. I’m running multiple devices on Homebridge. It even identifies them. My main problem is remembering what battery goes in each device.

Perfect

I absolutely love HomeBatteries . Checking all my HomeKit batteries on a single screen is super helpful. And also knowing what batteries I need.
Widgets are great too, seeing any low batteries without opening HomeBatteries . Perfect price too.

Terrific app for showing status in one place

I have several battery-powered HomeKit devices (flood sensors, motion sensors, door sensors, etc). It’s never easy in the Home app to determine which, if any, are nearing the end of their battery life. HomeBatteries solves this problem for you. Definitely worth the modest price and the Developer was very responsive to an issue I reported with v1.0.

A must have app for your small home

Great app, very straightforward to use. Helps me keep track of many HomeKit devices with replaceable and rechargeable batteries. Saves me time by aggregating all of the battery levels in one place.

Works as promised!

Does it exactly what it says. I would like a place to make notes as to what battery goes in what device (ie Eve weather CR2450). It would be awesome if HomeBatteries could tell me that without me entering the info, but I suspect that may be too complex.

Exactly what I was looking for!

Simple, easy to use, and does exactly what it promises. In addition, at the time of this writing, the developer is both responsive and releases timely updates. Not sure there’s anything more I could ask for. Very happy.

Super handy

I’ve got a bunch of shades and other devices all bundled together. It’s a pain to see battery levels in the Home app. HomeBatteries makes it super easy to check battery levels for everything - even the motion and door sensors in my security system. 5 stars.

Works

Does exactly what it states it will do, show your battery percentage. This is a super helpful app. I’m giving HomeBatteries 5 stars as it does the job. I would ask if notification’s can be added when a battery drops to a certain level. Thanks for adding notifications. HomeBatteries is a must have all HomeKit users.

Solid app

Appreciate the ability to get notifications when a battery runs low.

Features

HomeBatteries enables you to view all of your Apple Home device battery levels in one place and get notified before they run out of power.

If you have ever found yourself in the situation where a battery powered HomeKit accessory has stopped working, then HomeBatteries can prevent it from happening again.

View a history of your accessory battery levels and see when it was last charged/replaced so you can determine how long a battery lasts.

Not all battery powered devices expose their battery level to HomeKit and will therefore not appear in HomeBatteries or the Home app.

Use your device, or even HomePod, to get battery levels, last charge date and see which accessories are running low.
