Crooks

I bought into a break with pizza pulls. I spend over $500 on the break. While I was watching the breaker seemed to be very upset about the prices and how long it was taking for the break to fill. He ended up running the break unrecorded. He literally went offline to run the break . They stole my money. I reached out to fanatics and they can see clearly what happened. They told me it would be fixed within 24 hours. Well….it was never fixed and they refused to refund me. The support was absolutely terrible. It told me everything “they don’t care about the buyer” only thing that matters is the seller. It was the worst support ever and it makes it even worse with the amount of money I spend. If you ever have a problem don’t expect them to do the right thing. They have 0 integrity

Difficult to navigate

I can’t seem to find a search bar (if there even is one) to look up a certain breaker/streamer. Seems they just cater to whoever is making them the most money or some weird algorithm. App does not feel user friendly. I know it’s still new but just look at whatnot or drip. Those platforms are much easier to navigate. I only joined because I have a $60 free credit otherwise I never would have signed up. Once they work out the kinks and most flaws I’ll try and jump back in.

Deserves 0 Star’s

I’m all for change in the Hobby. This isn’t Change, this is a money hungry monopoly trying to control every single aspect of the market. Whatnot is 15X better (if not more) than this copy paste of a platform. If FanaticsLive would’ve been released in an organized working manner it might have been better. But once actually gaining access to FanaticsLive after multiple weeks of “being on the list” learning it’s just a terrible copy of whatnot was a big let down. We have to do better as a hobby/community.

Modern Snake Oil Salesmen

Save your money. This is just another form of gambling. And they take forever to ship. While this can be a reasonable way to get a shot at some rare cards if you pick the right price point and don’t keep chasing, these guys will absolutely HOUND people to buy expensive spots in breaks, serials, etc. and hype up all the supposed possibilities, even if you’ve already bought into a break. The reality is, sometimes you’ll get absolutely nothing. Most of the time, you’ll wildly overpay for a handful of basic cards. And even if you do get a hit, the actual value will be very minimal compared to all the noise and the hype. Don’t get caught up in the herd mentality. Stay grounded in reality.

Buggy app missing key features

It’s hard to believe that FanaticsLive has 4.8 stars… main annoying things about it: FanaticsLive is constantly trying to bring you back to the screen that shows how many credited dollars are in your fanatics account? FanaticsLive is constantly switching me back to the billing tab, any time I leave FanaticsLive or open Notification Center or anything, it’ll snap back to the billing tab, almost like they’re trying to encourage me to spend the promo dollars ASAP. But this persists even when my wallet balance is zero?? Another very annoying thing and this surprising: why on earth would there not be a tab or a page that displays only the upcoming shows that I have a paid slot in. It’s hard to believe in FanaticsLive that I can’t go from ‘my orders’ directly to the show link that I have a paid slot in. FanaticsLive is awful. Once my promo dollars run out, I’ll delete it simply because of how annoying it is to manage FanaticsLive. Lastly, when sellers or breakers send me links within FanaticsLive to shows ON YOUR APP, that link should open within the same app, or at least present an option within safari to reopen that link back inside of FanaticsLive .

So many bugs. FanaticsLive needs help. People must be blindly rating it before they even use it.

Pretty bad for pokemon

Basically no pokemon, why would PSA give their subscribers credit towards FanaticsLive. I have $120 credit from PSA that I just can’t use because there are hardly any pokemon breakers on FanaticsLive , and the ones that are there charge far above market price per pack, even with the time they put in and resources they use to do it, a 2023 pokemon booster pack is not 50 dollars. From a pokemon point of view FanaticsLive is a 1 star, however I am giving it a 2 star because FanaticsLive is not solely a pokemon app and others could make use of the sports products on FanaticsLive

Customer service

The shows themselves are great. The customer service when you have any issues is pretty much nonexistent. I’ve been locked out of my account for over a week and have been constantly trying to get a hold of customer support. The only option is to send them an email that they never respond to. Unfortunately I’m getting to the point where I’ll just use whatnot again for my breaks. Pretty awful service your fanatics you should have this figured out by now.

Please Fix the app!

Every time I open FanaticsLive , it doesn’t take me straight to the home page. It shows a window of a stream that ended & what stream is going to play next, which I have to exit out of, every time. Also, FanaticsLive automatically closes right after my low battery window pops up & disappears or I slide down to see my phone's notification window. App also closes when I maximize to full screen after it was in Picture in Picture mode. It’s frustrating when watching a break, then it closes on you.

App Needs Work

There are many times where FanaticsLive will glitch when trying to bid on a product and the bids don’t process, so you can’t win. It’s also hard to navigate the page channels and view live versus recent streams. It needs to be more user friendly like twitch. There’s also the issue that the breaks on FanaticsLive generally cost 1.5-2x what it costs to buy in on Instagram breaks. Overall, it just seems Michael Rubin is money hungry and doesn’t care what the consumers want. Hobby and blaster boxes used to be much cheaper and produce better quality than what they do now.

Not user friendly for buyers

I'll say the positive first: FanaticsLive opens smoothly and didn't crash. That warrants two stars.

Now the negatives: the interface is too busy. All I see are endless thumbnails of streamers without being able to see what products they are currently opening. FanaticsLive is just a collection of breakers but doesn't provide useful information.

When I filter by sport, it displays any breaker who offers a product from that sport, but no way to further filter by who is currently breaking product from that sport. So if I want to jump into a hockey break, I'd have to manually click into every displayed thumbnail to see if they are actually opening that product. I also cannot filter by specific product.

Pricing transparency is also non-existent. I can't sort breakers by product and compare break style (say, random team vs. pick your team) and respective pricing. I also am unable to see ratings or reviews for individual breakers, nor can I leave public reviews.

Overall, this seems like a perfect example of the fanatics experience: shiny and new, but without substance.

Too many issue

1st you cannot watch replays on iPad without watching entire video. Not compatible for iPad cause it will not allow me to fast forward to certain breaks.
2nd when trying to watch replays and a live goes for a long period time, it won’t show the entirety of the video. Sometimes the last 4 hours of the break. Support claims issue will be resolved but it never gets resolved.
When someone misses a break and can’t watch the replay. Then the purchaser has to trust the breaker will send the cards won in the break. There is an abundance of dishonesty in this industry. Transparency should be the most important part of FanaticsLive and fanatics has failed.

Lacking Customer Necessities

Don’t buy into a break that you can’t wait to watch because navigating through 12-24hr stream replays with no help is hopeless. Especially when a breaker shows zero/poor indication of what break they are on or who has what team/s. Additionally, when you buy into breaks there is no record of which team/player/break you had within your receipt.
Another major concern in this industry is security. It would also be nice if Fanstics set the standard and required their breakers to have multiple camera angles in order to join. Especially with everything it is lacking regarding order tracking.
I am looking forward to the possibility of some drastic improvements. The potential is there.

Notifications need work

Some of the Breakers are great and have fun shows. Prices tend to be on the higher side compared to other apps and shipping costs could be more transparent.
I get very frustrated with the notifications. I constantly get push notifications from breakers I am not interested in and there is no way to unsubscribe from them without turning all notifications off (and missing posts from shows I want to follow).

“An unknown error has occurred”

Half of the time, I’m not able to start FanaticsLive from some kind of crash/error that always pops up stating that “an unknown error has occurred” at times, I think maybe FanaticsLive just needs me to update, but there’s never an update available whenever I check. The other thing is, I can’t understand why you can’t scroll from stream to stream vs minimizing every stream and clicking to a new stream? Not very impressed after over a year since the launch.

Still working out the kinks.

Overall ease of use for users. Breakers are still getting to know the system. Some randomizers could be better. Ease of use when wanting to purchase more than one spot or team in a break would be nice instead of 38 purchases which tends to lock your account or bank card. Some breakers are forces to make placer breaks or not actual breaks just to be able to use the randomizer for other purposes during the stream. Would like to see a price comp feature to see what other breakers are charging for the same spots or teams. Once you find a breaker I feel you will tend to stick with them picking spots you may not necessarily want. Other breakers may have breaks you would much more prefer but never visit there stream. Also would like to see a fanatics rewards system built in for customers. Random giveaways or promotions to help build the brand and the breakers who use your platform

Could be better

I like the idea but it is the same as whatnot except with less, you have the bidding but there is no store so I can not just go and by something like a specific card or box. It is new so I fell like if they would add that it would be perfect.

One thing that is cool is they have a glossary whatnot does not have that is they add that one thing it is easily five stars. Have great potential because they own everything.

Live recordings and push notifications.

I missed two breaks yesterday. I spent thousands of dollars and have no idea who or if I hit anything. Live recordings are a must. Secondarily we can’t all Sit around for hours and wait for breaks to fill. Once a break fills a push notification on a break you are in would be ideal. The first obviously takes care of the second.

Greatest Live Break App Ever!!!

So many different breaks to choose from! Football, basketball, baseball, they’ve got them all! Not into sports cards but enjoy Star Wars or Pokémon, they’ve got them! Choose your favorite breakers, favorite methods of breaking, and they’re all here! Small budget or large budget, it doesn’t matter there’s a breaker for you! This has been the best app I’ve found! I’m here to stay! Thank you Fanatics!

Best online "Breaking" applications out there!

I've had the best experience buying into breaks throughout all applications that exist. Love getting very card I've won! Everybody has been exceptional in regard to manners and content as well. Finally, although it's a large company doing it, it's being done correctly. Thank you Fanatics, Filthbomb Stephen, Mike and the guys. Thanks to the entire crew at Monster Card Shop! You guys really are the epitome of this industry!

Better than whatnot

While I appreciate the approach your app leaves a lot to be desired. Breakers talk down to the audience when they clearly screwed up. Full shipping charged for multiple purchases. You allow breakers with no integrity you will become what you are trying to destroy.

Extremely concerning. From purchase to delivery. If you manage to make a fair purchase, chances are the cards were damaged already. The handling of the cards while ripping, they see a superfractor then pile 250 cards on top of it then when they get to it play hide and seek rubbing another card against it. Hits are stacked in a pile and protected later.. You think, thats alright I got 7 refractors that sell for 250 each graded you'll get your money back on. To find it was all packaged in a team bag inside a bubble mailer with no protection. You won a free pack so maybe youll get something not damaged there! You open the package to find a couple base cards in a toploader labeled topps series 1 hobby pack. Expect each spot to sell for around $100 on 30 teams with only $1k of product being opened with the breaker claiming the spots are selling for free... Even after the chase team was hit on first wheel spin. I experienced the same issues at many of the shops, and they are all popular ones. Buying, ripping, and receiving would all need to greatly improve before id recommend. For now I'd warn against using.
