To be honest, TripBFF would have been a cool idea but it is executed very poorly. TripBFF is all over the place. As an avid traveler, I wouldn’t use TripBFF. Who is going to actually go on a trip with strangers they don’t know, unless it’s organized by a company or creator?? That is danger ready to happen. I was happy to see that they added travelers nearby, the only feature I found great, but now I can’t use it, because it costs money a month, why would I pay when I can use the same feature on tinder, bumble bff, hostel world or going solo? What a joke. Like the idea, hate the execution. Hopefully they can step it up..

Too much lack of functionality. I’ve made 2 groups targeted towards finding girl travel partners and all who were joining were guys cause they can’t read or leave girls alone anywhere we go. I wanted to remove them from my groups but guess what? I can’t remove people from my group, there is no feature for that. The most basic feature is missing. You also don’t get a notification or can easily find people that DM you. That location is hidden in a small spot. I found old DM requests weeks later. I also can’t leave a review that button on TripBFF won’t work at all. And the report button on TripBFF also only takes you to your phone settings, that’s it. What a waste of my money. I had nothing to gain from TripBFF.

I assume TripBFF is full of bots because the retention rate for people is next to none. Everyone makes a group chat and says where they’re going to go and what time but no one text among each other maybe once in a blue moon but it’s so uncoordinated they can only make sense that the developers have better things to do since TripBFF hasn’t been updated in a month, it is very bad and it’s going to be very rare for you to find anyone to travel with since no one stays on TripBFF longer than a day

At the surface TripBFF seems great, but the more you try to use it the more you realize there are significant flaws. I tried to add a trip to Big Bend National Park but TripBFF doesn’t seem to recognize the park or even the nearby town as a destination. The best I could do is add El Paso as the destination which still doesn’t make sense given its 4 hours away from Big Bend. Additionally, there’s no way to search for trips in a specific date range. This is really important for people who aren’t picky about where they are going but have limited time availability. The idea of TripBFF is great but there needs to be significant upgrades.

I signed up for a three day free trial and found TripBFF well designed but unfortunately didn’t really help me meet anyone while solo traveling. Furthermore they lock you into an annual subscription from the start with no refund policy, which seems a bit predatory given most will only use TripBFF a couple months out of the year. It’s got potential but feel like early days and they need to allow for month to month subscriptions.

There seems to be an issue on here with men sending messages to women under the guise of “trying to get to know them” and once they’re rejected they send very nasty hateful messages. This isn’t a dating app, it’s to find people to travel with and activities to do. I don’t like that I’ve had TripBFF not even a week and already dealt with multiple men being weird and then hateful towards me. This is something that needs to be monitored better for me to fully enjoy it.

This is a cool app and a pretty neat way into making friends/acquaintances that are like minded into traveling. I think it has a lot of potential, but I can definitely see this potentially being a little sketchy/dangerous. There needs to be a definite way to screen every user for authentication before use. Like, passport verification, or something.

Other than that, TripBFF crashes A LOT. If you try loading the “nearby travelers” tab, TripBFF freaks out and crashes. Idk why, but it’s extremely annoying.

I think TripBFF is great - the creator did an amazing job with it. A few suggestions I would have is adding a selection for mid range or luxury travel and filter selections for finding travelers in the same age range or with similar interests. That said, maybe have users select 1-5 designated things that they are interested in when traveling so there’s a way to match on similarities.

Also, a future enhancement might be allowing users to select/add countries they’ve been to so other users can reach out for suggestions/recommendations.

Overall this is a really great platform!

Just started using TripBFF and its a great concept. Already connected with some people visiting my city. Got some points i hope get looked at by the developers-

Improvement:
- add more subcategories for countries like the US where each state could be its own travel destination
- add user verification, hard to travel with people you've never met especially via a social platform

Other add-ons which would be great to see -
- maybe have the option for people to become “local experts” or “travel gurus”. Being based out of NY i have a lot of valuable insight for the many people coming here and have found myself sharing the same restaurants and places to see in many of the groups. If I had a page could have all of that in one place for people to view and follow if they like my content.
Could also incorporate past trips onto this page, if i have visited paris and know some great locations i could outline it on a map or with a button to take people to the map location.

I would really like it if in the section in the profile where it asks for your nationality, there was a way to add multiple because most people are not just one ethnicity

So far so good however I’m disappointed that there’s no way to search for trips within a specific date range regardless of destination. At the moment the only thing I’ve seen has been to search for a specific location within a set of dates, but for a student like myself and several others our limitations aren’t necessarily destination but rather time. With that in mind, I would love a feature like that because it would help me to think of places that I otherwise wouldn’t have thought to search for.

In other words, have a search feature where there is no specified destination, and the search results show trips various locations that are within a specific date range, could be anywhere.

TripBFF is great. As someone who wasn’t raised into a family with a tun of money, but loves to travel. It’s hard finding someone to travel with. This makes it easy and more affordable. And a good way to meet great people!

I wish I had found out about this up sooner. This is such a necessity for solo travelers, I feel so comfortable and excited to meet people who have the same traveling interests me, and are in the same age range. It is extremely easy to connect, find opportunities, and even make your own catered to whatever audience you please.

I love TripBFF! I’ve tried a few others, WhatsApp, and Facebook groups but never connected the anyone my age or similar to me. TripBFF is perfect for anyone trying to meet new friends around the world with similar interests! So glad someone has finally created an app that is able to bring people together

TripBFF is the best thing that happened to me. Very easy to use and to understand, they have a premium feature which can be a con for some people but it is only 4.99 and you can do SO much! I love their teleport feature where you can see travelers all over the world and message them! Keep at it guys!

TripBFF is very straight forward for everything. where your going, what you would be doing, and the purpose for it. You can connect with other people you are going to travel with before you even meet them which I think is pretty cool so I would definitely recommend TripBFF to other people.

Does TripBFF need some work with its features? Absolutely. Did it lead me to meeting my husband? My lips are sealed. I made a group for solo travelers in Tokyo, my husband joined the group and sent me a message, we spent the whole week in Tokyo together and the rest is history. And while we were on the initial trip everyone kept asking us how we met (cause even though we had just met, it was love at first sight as corny as that sounds lol) and we told everyone it was through this app. This of course inspired others to download TripBFF , but we must have told over 100 people. That being said, I don’t think anyone could be a bigger this app advocate than I am. Let me sponsor you <3 xoxo

this app is extremely helpful when traveling!! I love Solo Traveling a lot and TripBFF gave me the amazing opportunity to connect with other people and meet up and explore the world together! It used to be so hard for me to find people to travel with but since I’ve been using TripBFF it has made it so much easier! I’m recommending this app to everyone who loves to travel:)

It’s has been a pain to find a travel buddy specially when the trip is on business days as most our people are working or busy with something else. With TripBFF I could find a travel buddy in the easiest way, our dates were just the same in the same city which is AMAZING. I truly recommend TripBFF for solo travelers, you can find someone in your destination whom is available to share with you time and create new experiences.

Just downloaded TripBFF after seeing it come up on Instagram. First impressions so far are that it’s easy to make a post/respond to others sorted by country and interests. I also like the “plan” section which has similar posts to travel Facebook groups but also has some more niche interests/opportunities. Looking forward to using TripBFF more for my upcoming travels and to give me ideas on where to go next!

You can find others with similar interests or destinations in mind and really make the most of the experience with someone to share it with. TripBFF was recommended to me by a friend because we were looking for something to do in Italy and TripBFF came in so handy!!! We found a kind and fun group of people that made it so fun and since it was our first time, we didn't know what to do but they definitely had everything planned out and we did more than what we would've if we were alone plus we made so many new connections and friends. The service is top-notch, the community is great, the interface is easy to navigate, and there are so many options to choose from. I usually never write reviews but I feel TripBFF deserved one. 10/10

I just downloaded TripBFF to see what it was like and I’m very impressed. TripBFF is well interfaced and pretty interactive. I very much like the matching interests section, however I’d like to be able to pick more interests than just four. Furthermore I’d love if there was an option to “befriend” someone and get suggestions based on what groups your “friends” join. It would also be nice to be able to see who’s in a group before joining it to see if the people represent what your interests are. Overall TripBFF is really well done. I’m excited to use it.

P.s. I almost forgot to mention, I met one of the founders in one of the groups and she was super kind! It’s nice to know the people developing TripBFF have true interests in what they are providing.

i’ve been in whatsapp groupchats, facebook groups and random groupmes, and until finding TripBFF i was never able to find the right type of people to meet up with while solo traveling. but TripBFF is my new favorite way to!! while i’m not currently solo traveling, i’ve already had the chance to reach out to others on TripBFF to start planning my next trip!!! i’m so excited for everything that will come from this app :)
