Liist - Make Maps with Friends Reviews

I’m a total type-A person when it comes to lists for travel. For years I’ve been making Frankenstein lists with apple notes and google maps and screenshots from Instagram. I’ve always wanted something that complies my lists into a more visual way with an option for map-view. this app feels like someone went into my brain and made an app with all the features I need! It’s so easy and pulls the necessary data quickly, plus I have the option to customize photo previews to my liking, accept suggestions from friends, and send lists of my favorite places to friends and followers. Now I use it for my than just travel locations — I have lists for scouted photo locations around town too! 💗

I’m always finding places as I scroll social media and don’t have a way to keep them in one place outside of me making a list and writing them down. Even then, it’s time consuming adding the name of the place, where it’s located, and what I liked about it. With this app I have the location and pictures all in one place. You can create sub lists too like “go someday”, “local places”, or however you want to set them up. My only note as a downside is that it only works with geotags on instagram posts. If you see a reel of a place there’s no geotag so unless you go specifically search for that place/geotag, you can’t add it to any of your lists.

I had such a light bulb moment when I discovered this app-- it's Liist we all didn't know we needed. Being the planner that I am, it is insanely satisfying to not only effectively compile all of my saved pictures from different sources into one place, but to also have them converted into a map. Although I do not get to travel as much as I would like, I even catch myself entertaining my inner daydreamer by creating boards for fun. It is also super convenient because you can share your this app boards with friends. Very well thought out app--Cannot wait to see how it grows. In. love. with. this app.

I never leave reviews but Liist needs to get shared. This is making my trip planning so much easier I highly recommend. I love the map too so I can draw out my route. Especially for other countries. Even if I know a place I already want to go I can search it and add it. Also hiking in other countries isn’t easy because you really don’t know where to go, but this is a good start. THE DOWNSIDE is that it hardly saves things. You have to go through and try to save it multiple times and check if it worked. I wish they would fix that but other than that I love it. And I haven’t seen ads and no subscriptions for extra use. I love that

Liist is a nice idea when you see something on Instagram or TikTok you want to visit but the actual app needs a lot of work. First, you can't delete "default lists" they have set up or change the name which can be annoyance. Second, I just tried to delete one single destination but it ended up deleting all of the places I've already saved. They don't even have a trash area where you can restore these deleted items. Third, the map they have isn't very expansive. You have to fully type out the name of the place you're looking for, for the map to understand. Even then, if you're looking for a specific place that has a common name or is a chain, the map only shows 3 different options. App developers step your game up!

Every time I’d see a place I wanted to visit to eat id write it down but it was always hard to remember which place was what. But now with Liist, not only can I save the places automatically from tiktok or Instagram, it has photos of the food AND it shows all their locations on a map. So if I drive 30 minutes out of my usual area and feel like eating, I’ll always turn to Liist to see if I have anything in the area that I’ve been wanting to try. It makes things immensely easier!

Liist is perfect fit the avid traveler or the “would-be” traveler who needs inspiration to begin their travels.

It’s a great idea and know it’s a relatively in it’s early stages so I know there’s a lot more features to be made because I think more locations should pop up on the reader feature based on where I’m located. That, or I’m still getting used to Liist since I’ve been using it mostly from Tik Tok app. It’s also a little frustrating when people don’t include the location info, but people in the comments section help out a lot so I can add the location to my travels.

really have been enjoying Liist! I like the feature that also allows you to explore newer places (not sure of those suggestions are based on what I’ve already added). Also this really helps me organize the places I want to visit in a more visual sense and i can easily decide where to go based on the way this app pins based on a map location. Overall really great app, and looking forward to see what other features are added over the course of development!

I travel a lot and sometimes it’s challenging to find new and exciting destinations within certain locations. With this app, I can pin places from all over the globe easily and efficiently with visual references so that I always have something to look forward to! I love how easy it is to save from Instagram and while I haven’t tried saving from tiktok I’m sure it’s just as convenient! Keep up the great work guys Liist is awesome!

Liist lets you save tik toks or Instagram post with locations and adds them all to a map for you!! And if you’re traveling to a specific place you can type it in and they give you different options of places to go and things to do!! I’ve been using it for a few months and it’s so cool to actually have a map of all the cool places I see online!

As someone that spends too much time tagging friends in new places to go around the city on TikTok and IG, this was Liist I needed before I even realized it. Adding locations to your map is seamless from the integrations and makes deciding where to go for dinner or a night out a breeze when I can just open my this app map and see everywhere around me I’ve flagged that I wanted to try.

Living in a major city I often look to tik tok to provide recommendations for activities, restaurants and events. Just liking or favoriting the tik tok isn’t a always helpful since I would spend tons of time looking through them to find the video. this app is extremely helpful in organizing and saving the videos and makes planning outings way easier! 10/10

I was unexpectedly logged out of my account. I attempted to log in and ended up creating a new account. I could not navigate to settings to log out of the new account. Fortunately I have two instagrams so I was able to link the second account to this new log in BUT Liist is forcing me to wait until the first DM aid cataloged before I can navigate to the settings button. The forced routing went unnoticed when I made the original account. The lack of user choice is pretty annoying.

I love planning trips and following new places to try on Instagram but by the time I take the trip I always forget what those places are called. This has changed everything, my husband and I are headed to Ireland in a couple months and I am so glad I found Liist to put all the places I’ve been wanting to try in one place!

After moving to a new city in a pandemic I’ve been trying to find ways to save all the exciting places I want to visit! this app is incredible for compiling all this information and all the categories I’ve developed make it so easy to plan an adventure! I never ever write reviews but I seriously love Liist and want everyone to download and use it!

Liist is AMAZING!! I’m able to save items from tik tok and save them all in one place. It saves the videos, not just the place, which is definitely helpful with my memory 😅

Also able to share lists with friends! Which is definitely a plus. Definitely a need for making your list for hot girl summer!

Love the concept of Liist! It’s so much easier to have one place to store all of the cool destinations I see on Insta/TikTok. Liist developer cares about user experience and listens to feedback as Liist continues to grow. Being able to see spots saved on the map makes it easy to plan ahead for vacations or to try new spots in your hometown

I've been using this ap almost over 3 months and I love it. It keeps all the place I want to see in one area. The only thing I wish this can save reel on IG. I know I should take one star away but I figure away to save it on this app. Definitely recommend Liist. You can save and complete with no issue or problems.

One of the most useful apps I’ve ever seen. I am constantly finding new places I want to check out, whether it’s a restaurant nearby or a vacation someday in the future I can add to Liist and map in seconds right before I forget the place exists.

Map layout is awesome and the connection to TikTok and insta is so easy

Finally putting all of those screenshots to work! I do all of my trip research through IG but have never found a convenient way to store and categorize what I find. This helps a TON! I especially love the “share to DM” feature because I don’t even have to leave IG or compile a bunch of screenshots into my photos.

I really love this app’s design and execution! It’s clean and user-friendly, which makes it easy to organise the places you want to visit. There are a few problems I have had with Liist itself however.
- Every time I try to tag a location with an emoji, I have to keep doing it three to four times until it is actually tagged.
- There have been a few times in which I have tried to rearrange locations and Liist crashes. It also lags and then crashed whenever I add a new location.

And a few things that would be cool to have in the next update:
- Introduce more emoji tags! There are some emojis I would like to use as tags, but they aren’t on there :(
- Maybe allow for the rearrangement of main cities/locations?

Opened Liist and there’s a prompt telling me to DM Instagram to save places. The timer starts at 6 minutes and there’s no way to skip it. The next time, the timer goes to 10 minutes. App is slow, clunky and crashes all the time. Stick to Google Maps to save places.
