I like the product principles on display, but the design has sacrificed basic usability on the altar of minimalism. Folks, an edge swipe gesture cannot be the only way to go back up a navigation stack, and a vertical swipe cannot be the only way to close a modal sheet. In this app you cannot leave a modal sheet or a navigation child view when using VoiceOver. Default touch UI users also have expectation and muscle memory to tap a back button where it usually appears, which does not function.
This is a productivity tool, not SnapChat. Please use the basic toolbox and conventions of iOS.

I absolutely love the way Anytype functions in the user interface. It is super easy to organize spaces, create notes and lists. This app has so much potential, however the backend is so buggy it makes nearly unusable. The sync feature between iPhone, MacBook, and iMac constantly creates “untitled” files that have nothing in them and which don’t correspond to any file I created.
The files I create in a collection don’t sync to that same collection on my other devices. I have to spend time hunting them down in the all objects folder and move them to where they belong.
For now, I’m leaving AnyType, but I’ll keep my eye on it in hopes these sync issues are able to be fixed.

It is difficult to use when writing notes you cannot easily select all the text you write if there are new lines they want you to individually click on each block of text! No way to easily export from your individual notes on mobile. Graph view is buggy. It takes multiple clicks to add something as simple as a tag to a note. The concept of sets doesn’t seem to easily allow selecting multiple different object types with a similar relation.
Overall, too much extra annoyance for what should have been a simple user interface. Disappointing because local first is a great idea.
