Dear this app Support Team,

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with my recent experience using the this app app. I had high hopes for this tool as a means of conveniently summarizing lengthy texts, but my encounter with it has left me utterly dissatisfied.

To my disbelief, after just one paragraph of summarization, Summarify abruptly halted and demanded that I upgrade to the pro version in order to access the full functionality. This is not only inconvenient but also misleading. Nowhere during the initial setup or usage was I informed that the free version has such severe limitations. It is absurd that users are lured in with the promise of a helpful summarization tool, only to be held hostage by an unexpected paywall.

Moreover, to add insult to injury, the one paragraph I received was riddled with inaccuracies. How can I trust the credibility of a tool that fails to provide accurate and reliable information even in its limited output? It is disheartening to see such a fundamental flaw in an app that claims to enhance productivity and efficiency.

I strongly believe that users should be given the opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of Summarify before deciding to invest in the pro version. The current strategy employed by this app feels misleading, deceptive, and ultimately undermines user trust.

I implore you to reconsider your approach to the free version and provide a more transparent experience for your users. The provision of a more comprehensive trial or a fairer system of limitations would greatly contribute to restoring confidence in this app as a reputable summarization tool.

Regrettably, based on my encounter with Summarify , I cannot in good conscience recommend this app to others. I hope that you take my feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to enhance user experience and restore faith in your product.

After you pay for the service, the token limits on the summary will be drastically reduced. Even 10 minute videos will get rejected for being too long. I’ve sent messages multiple times to address this but the only bump up for one or two more before they reduce it again. Stay with the free service where you can process 1 hour video without a problem.

Summarify is FANTASTIC on iPhone. Love the Key Takeawas feature the most.
What would bring up the star-rating would be a working app on Mac, where I need it the most. Even after following the steps in the error message popup (prompting a login to YouTube via Safari), it still won't allow summarizing via the Mac app.

The reason why I gave only 3 stars is because when I was trying the with the free 10 or 9 summaries I was so pleased and decided to subscribe an annual subscription but I’ve noticed that in the last 3 summaries, you guys stopped providing the complete transcript of a video. So I went ahead and subscribed for one month and cancelled immediately and I’m looking for an app that provides what you did provide before. Your app is worth 5 stars minus 2 because of that. Knowing that you can do a better job and you just decided not to kind of bothers me.

This was amazing when it first popped up. Now, other apps seem to produce better results.

I recommend Summarify for videos under 20 minutes. API calls are limited. For lectures and audiobooks, Summarify will skip ahead by hours.

I have been using a Chrome extension to summarize YouTube videos on my laptop, and I have been looking for a similar alternative on my iPhone. Summarify delivered that. Compared to the YouTube summarizer in the ChatGPT store, Summarify runs much faster and works with the share sheet.

However, it has its limitations. For example, it doesn't work well for videos longer than 30 minutes. My guess is that it's using ChatGPT 3.5, which has a shorter context window. If you ask it to analyze content that appears in the backend of a really long video, Summarify will not get it right. This is a limitation of the GPT 3.5 model. I wish there were an option for me to use GPT-4. To save costs for the developer. I can also provide my own OpenAI key.

Another limitation that I find is that if you need to ask multiple questions about a single video, the current user flow is not the smoothest. Every time you need to analyze a new video, you need to kind of reopen the video, and Summarify would download the metadata of the video again, which takes a couple of seconds. So, I wish the developer could optimize this user flow for us to ask multiple questions.

But occasionally it stops short and I’m prompted to report an error or problem to customer support, but it’s unclear how or if that is possible.

Great app, it would be even better if you could set the language for summaries.

I’ve searched the web, checked Reddit, and even asked AI Chatbots without any success. Somehow, I’ve stumbled across this app and can’t believe how well it works! Also, the subscription price is pretty reasonable compared to other mobile or web apps. I highly recommend trying out the free version, which provides a few free summaries. I was sold on Summarify after the first two summaries.

If you watch YouTube for information and learning, this is a must have. I use Summarify daily to save me hours of having to watch videos to get a quick detailed summary of videos.

Summarify is, at the time of this writing the best AI summarizer I have found for YouTube. The thing that sets it apart and makes it special, is the different summarized modes. Particularly the data extraction mode which is really handy for me summarizing video game Videos. It breaks down the data points into easily partible headings with bulleted wrists underneath so you can Transcribe 47 minutes of someone bothering on about a video game strategy into a clear concise bulleted list. A+. I just wish the developer made a similar app for webpages

This is my new go to app for saving time primarily with YouTube videos. It allows me to get an overview of a video before deciding if it’s worth my time watching the whole thing. It also allows me to quickly extract the high-points and information I need from videos.
