I’m not sure why you would present your customers with a new system that doesn’t have all of the features of the old system. I if you have a business and a personal account it used to be very easy to login and switch from one to another. When using the mobile app for my business and paying a vendor, I can’t put an invoice number or anything on the check as to what I am paying. If I want to do that, I am now forced to use the PC application. I use to be able to classify my checks, can’t do that anymore either. I’ll take the old system back in a heartbeat.

In the new app, when you leave NewtownSavingsBank and come back later, you are still signed in. On the old app, whenever I left even for a moment I was logged out. This feels like a security flaw. I haven’t tested out how long you stay signed in for, or if you’re timed out at all ever

Who made the decision to buy this new app? It is terrible. As others have commented, it was not a very good choice. I have a mobile app at two other banks and I am considering transferring all my funds from Newtown Savings to these other two. They have apps that are easy to use, secure and accessible with iPhone, computer, and iPad. You must have someone on staff who can improve this mess before you loose clients.

The new app and upgrade process is excellent. Better layout, more details, etc. It is a improvement over the old version.

Old system, I got to choose from which acct to which account I want to transfer to. The new system requires you to provide the acct number to and from to transfer …. What a pain in the $&@@!!!!!! Every time I have to provide the acct number vs simply choosing the accts from a drop Dow box. Horrible!!!!!!!!!!

Can’t wait to leave this bank!!!!! Nice job President KEN Weinstein !!!!! Time to retire.

Every time you go into NewtownSavingsBank , it makes you go to NewtownSavingsBank Store to download NewtownSavingsBank again. However, when you get to the store, it just says open app because it’s already downloaded. Even though I have remember me and face ID on, it never remembers me. Not very user-friendly.

functionality is okay; but style, layout and how nice it is to use are a downgrade from before

The new version has some bugs that need to smoothed out. The old version was more accessible and less time consuming. I’m not sure why it’s necessary to download the new version every time NewtownSavingsBank is used.

As is trying to login on the new system wasn’t a pain now that I am all set up I cannot get my statements!

You force me to switch to paperless statements, which is fine, but then I cannot get them!!! Very frustrating.

The old app was sooo much better. Easy to use and navigate. Half this new app doesn’t work. It doesn’t update properly and has caused so many issues. I have contemplated leaving the bank over it.

This upgrade is not an improvement but a frustrating disappointment.

NewtownSavingsBank takes forever to open. The old app was so much better. This one needs to be fixed or updated to something useable.

I hope that the Newtown Savings Bank reps use NewtownSavingsBank personally so that they can experience how terrible and glitchy it is. Can’t access or check funds very often…

How am I suppose to give my last 2 transactions since I can’t get into my account to see what I spent!!!!! Absolutely horrible app!! Ready to change my bank. So frustrated!!!!!

Your old layout before this most recent update was light years better for mobile consumers. switch it back!

The new app is awful. Why did they change it? It’s so bad thinking about changing banks. Please go back to the old app. If it’s not broke don’t fix it!!

Finally got Zelle back in NewtownSavingsBank ! Thank you!!!

"Update"? No. Downgrade.

I have both personal and business accounts, so I use NewtownSavingsBank frequently, but the new update has rendered NewtownSavingsBank useless since I can never log in, and after deleting and reinstalling several times, I have finally given up. Instead, I saved the login page from the internet to my home screen and used this to log on with no issues. My spouse, who has only personal accounts, has no issue logging into NewtownSavingsBank .

I start with the only slight improvement I found with the new app. Instead of switching between my business and personal logins, I can actually import my business accounts into my personal profile and see everything on the page.

I don't know who thought any other so-called update was a great idea, but they need to go back to the drawing board and start by gathering feedback from actual customers who use NewtownSavingsBank . Here's my list:

1. Get rid of those annoying and redundant notification banners at the top of the page that you have to constantly close out upon every login. We get it; Zelle is available, and we can click on the account tile to view account details. This should be a one-time alert where you have the option to view it once and never again.

2. Please make the home customizable so customers can arrange it with features that are important to them. The Accept Payments menu seems permanently planted above the actual account menu, and this is a feature I have never used and will never use. I should be able to place it lower on the page, or better yet, remove or hide it.

3. Please fix your server issues so that we can actually use NewtownSavingsBank .

4. Make the NSB banner thinner; there is way too much padding at the top and bottom.

5. Offer a feedback button so users can give feedback!

Personally, I prefer the older version of NewtownSavingsBank . It was more user-friendly, offered better use of screen real estate, and, most importantly, I never had issues logging in. Even the color scheme offered more contrast, which made things easier to find. The whole purpose of NewtownSavingsBank should be to make viewing your accounts and banking easier.

In the mean time, PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD APP!

It keeps asking me to change my password, which is torture while thumb typing, and when I finally get in, I can’t deposit a check because it says it can’t access my accounts. Worst, the old app let me switch between my personal and business accounts. NewtownSavingsBank only lets me access one or the other with Touch ID and completely forgets my other login every time I move from one to the other. This is an improvement??? Edit after another month of use: NewtownSavingsBank is impossible to use if you have both personal and business accounts with Newtown. I have mistakenly deposited checks into the wrong accounts because NewtownSavingsBank makes it look like I am logging into my business accounts, but then switches me to my personal accounts without notice. AWFUL downgrade from the old app!!!!

8/7 Update: new update, new issues. Did I mention that NewtownSavingsBank connecting to your phone camera when you want to deposit a check only works sometimes? I usually have had to back out and reconnect to the camera at least once per session. Added to that now are weird, esoteric error messages that float above your check images. Sometimes there seems to be a real error in the clarity of the image, sometimes not. Also had to enter my password AGAIN today

The worst app ever . Can never sign on keeps telling me to download the new app

This new app is such a significant downgrade from the old app. I can’t even deposit checks without NewtownSavingsBank constantly logging me out right after taking the pictures of the check.

Can no longer turn on/off my debit card from NewtownSavingsBank .

The UI is horrible and the charges are displayed in a way that isn’t immediately clear where it’s coming from. A cluttered, dis functional and lack luster new app.
