iPhone 12 Pro Bezel Blocks Cards

Great game and very fun! However the only critique that I have is that while playing the bottom of the cards in my hand aren’t viewable. In Steam (pc) this wasn’t an issue, but on mobile it makes it impossible to know all the details your cards do without having to tap them get them bigger to view. The text on the cards are very very small as well when they are in your hand, very hard to read. All of this combined with the iOS swipe up mechanic in landscape mode make it where I frequent accidentally swipe out of the game to see the cards. This was never a problem in Legions card game for Everguild. Over solid game, definitely love Warpforge!

Good Gameplay, needs a little work

Decks feel balanced, it’s easy to unlock every deck, gameplay doesn’t have much new compared to other card games, but it takes from good examples. Biggest con is that we need more to do, it feels like a game that after a month there won’t be anything left to do, but it’s brand new so we’ll see.

By

Great Game!

Been playing since Beta. Front end cost to get a top end single faction deck was a few hundred USD. After having that deck the daily cost is 0 USD because I can win pretty consistently with my deck and collect other faction decks. This is way better than games like strategy/raiding games that have $20+ daily cost to be in the top end guilds.

By

Excellent card game

People dumping bad reviews on both Pc and now app is a joke. Easy to get cards, you absolutely do not have to spend money to get cards. If you’re even half decent at drafting you get plenty of rewards, missions for currency to get cards refresh non stop. Only gripe I have is starting decks are utter garbage.

By

Clunky

Cool art, interesting mechanics, but the execution just feels off. Switching from melee to range attacks doesn’t feel smooth, mistakes happen often because of this, and having the turn count down in a small bubble on the right makes it very easy to miss. There should be something in the middle of the screen like a rope or warning, most people are right hand dominant and moving stuff in the middle of the screen hides the bubble with your hand.

By

Only one thing to fix

It plays pretty similar to pc. The only thing I would like to have as an option is to adjust the card sizes on the field because it’s hard to see and analyze the number values when making decisions. Good job on launch otherwise!

What a fail of a game

The game looks pretty good but it’s like they forgot that a game is supposed to be fun to play. It starts off overwhelming, confusing and quite honestly with some of the slowest and most boring gameplay I’ve seen in a long time.
I gave the game an hour but I seriously couldn’t take it more at that point and uninstalled it.
They should have looked at games like Marvel Snap to understand what makes a game like this fun to play and coke back to over and over again.
This….is not my warhammer.

By

Amazing!

Sound quality and graphics are incredible, but it does seem just a tad unbalanced when you go first, as the enemy can just destroy your card as soon as you place it down.

By

Warhammer meets Hearthstone

And it’s great! Sure the cards are a little small but that’s why we can examine them in combat. Seriously I don’t get why people are whining about this, aside from technical stuff which is fair. It’s hearthstone but in Warhammer, how can you not like that!? :D

By

OMG

This is…it’s just soo bad I keep giving it chances and chances! Practice mode you can’t even win, you do the best possible moves with what you have and still can’t get anywhere, not enough energy to do anything and you use what you have and have no energy for the good cards at the end. It just came out so hopefully we get better fixes soon, until then UNINSTALL

By

Better than the other one.

I’m just saying the mobile version or warhammer cards were fun but this is better.

By

Good, not just a clone.

Interesting cards, fun combos, not really pay to win at all, just needs more content which I'm sure will come with time.

By

Slow Progression

Very unfortunate. This feels like a big step back from Horus Heresy: Legions. I was hoping this would be a similar game and mechanically speaking it is.

The monetization of it all is a bit too much though in my opinion. As someone who has played and followed the previous game for 6 years and spent plenty of money on it, this feels more like a cash cow then the previous game. I will probably not get into this one until many of the hardcore money grabbing is fixed.
I’d like to see these changes.

-Return to the ticket and booster pack system of old.
-Similar currency to Legions
-Much less confusing and more streamlined deck collection.

Played steam prior

Fun game. Takes a bit to get a deck going. Once you get rid of trash starter cards and get new ones its a solid experience

By

Good game but have issues

The gameplay is great but sometimes during a match both casual and ranked, I get kicked out of the game. When I return back to the game, I was at the menu, as if I forfit the game. Can you please fix it please.

By

Some factions need to be balanced

Some factions have overpowered units like the tyrranids

By

Great BUT…

5 star game but as of now its 1 star, reason being that its pay to win. Not only that but the in app purchases are extremely expensive all the while grinding to forge cards is too hard. They aren’t going to keep players like this which is a shame because the actual gameplay is amazing.

By

Cool game but unplayable

Cool game but every time I try and play multiplayer the game pairs me up with someone who has way better cards than me even though I just started so no matter what I do I always end up losing

By

First

One of the first to download today, good luck!

By

Not What I Expected 😔

it has very limited options for single players. The gameplay is very uninteresting and very slow. I had pre ordered the game and got nothing from pre ordering it 😡

By

A solid tactical card game!

This game knows what it it wants to be , and who it’s audience is, and seems well positioned to do exactly what it wants to do.

After resolving some early issues with things being hard to read on mobile this game seems to be in a good place. If you’ve played Magic or Hearthstone you have a pretty good idea of what’s going on. I love the faction specific mechanics, Space Marines feel tactical and “mariney” orks feel orky, eldar feel eldary you get it. If you are a fan of 40K and collectible card games, this is a no brainer. If you are a fan of ccgs and don’t know 40K , I think there’s still a lot to offer. If you love 40K but hate ccgs this game may not be for you.

Weird learning curve but enjoying anyway

Weirdly I started off going 3-19 when I first downloaded Warhammer40000 . Then I turned some kind of learning curve corner and went 17-4 after that. Since then things have more or less leveled out but my one message to others would be not to get too discouraged if you can’t seem to get a win to save your life when you start out. The game just has a weirdly steep learning curve, somehow in both directions, at the start.

By

For the God-Emperor!

The game is great fun, knowing that it is brand new there will be limited factions to chose from, I would love to see more Space Marine chapters and other factions. Still must play game for any warhammer fans there are

By

Coming Along Well

The game has a great start so far. The highlight is the ability to try out all factions and several warlords of each faction before you have to commit to buy one. They have in game currency but I only get you so far which is why for star’s for now. If, like in HHL, they make it so all currencies are rewards you get in game, this would be a five star game.

By

Excellent

I played Horus Heresy Legions, and Warpforge is a natural growth from it. Excellent game. Free to play and you can win by skill and experience. I’m having a great time with it.

By

New to 40k

As someone that is new to 40k, this game does a great job at giving the player some insight into the different factions and their mannerisms. Solid TCG game. I can’t wait to see more units and hopefully more factions because I know there are a lot of them.

By

Pay to win

You can’t get anywhere as a free to play player. Even at the bottom of the ladder in the “new zone” there are people that have been playing the game/payed for the game and they will stomp you out.
Card rarity is extremely similar to hearthstone.
Common, Rare, Epic, legendary. And the higher rarity cards which are brutally overpowered cost a small fortune.
The game literally makes you food for paid players and to get anywhere you have to drop Im guesstimating $50-$100.

Fun game, great graphics for a mobile game, but the monetization just absolutely ruins it.

By

Grim dark done right

Staunch 40k title. Very fun to play! A must for any 40k fan, or card game fan.

By

Are you going to make another faction?

I really like the factions that you actually put in the game. but do you know what I really like? the astra Militarum!

By

Great Warhammer 40K game

Stunning visual. Love it.

By

Fix your graphics

We literally can't even see the card texts. Cmon guys, it's mobile. Relate a little

By

Dev has nothing to say

Nothing to say about every warhammer game costing so much money, just trying to milk warhammer fans because there aren’t a ton of non tabletop options that are good. Sad.

By

Scummy monetization tacticus

Garbage game. Forces 5 star review from you before even finishing tutorial. Waste of time, and garbage lore connection. Don’t waste your time.

By

P2w trash

Another mobile game.

By

Boring

It’s a tragically boring mess.

By

Good, but some things could use tweeking

The basics are there, it’s got a lot of good game play options.
One thing that would help is having a screen lock or something so when you swipe you don’t swipe off the game. I’ve lost so many times because of timing out for that.
Second, the switch between ranged and melee is not always the easiest to manipulate. Sometimes I just bring up the card id screen. It wastes a lot of time in a timed hand game.
Third is that I hope to see imperial guard makes its way into this game. Hopefully these are just the starting factions.

By

Seems Like a Lot of Fun But…

You can’t create a faction deck without a warlord, and it seems like you have to get lucky and draw a warlord in a booster pack, which means you won’t be able to play your favorite faction until you spend enough money and get lucky enough to draw a warlord. That’s dumb. You should be able to buy the basic cards to start playing as your favorite faction immediately.

Also, I won’t be spending any money on this game - period - until the Sisters of Battle are made a playable faction. I simp for the sisters.
#shameless

A lot of technical and UI issues

I want to like this game but can’t. There are a LOT of bugs with the way cards move, at times being locked out for full games because you pressed one amid a turn start animation. The animations throughout the matches are slow and make games drag on, quickly overstaying their welcome. As well, any mobile player will QUICKLY notice the hit boxes are weirdly placed and far too small.

Overall this could be a good game but it’s plagued by a lot of poor design decisions. Personally, I’m going back to Legions.

By

Great warhammer game, good card game

Very fun if you are a fan of warhammer40k, as a card game it is a bit lacking in cards and playstyles. All cards are obtainable without spending money. It really needs more cards and factions to be more enjoyable. The devs seem proactive at making balance changes and bug issues. I recommend if you want something fun

By

Fun, but wanting.

Game is very fun, but only for about 5 games. The games seem to last a long time, and maybe because of a lack of neutral cards, they are very repetitive. I’m sure they will fix this in time as more cards come out. But for now I had to rate it 3 star.

By

Meh…

PAY TO PLAY! The draft system is RIGGED ! 100% “RNG”. Do NOT spend money on this game, and expect massive amount of Frustration

By

Fix Chaos

Omg fix chaos. Faction is cracked. Dark pacts are insane. Game is unplayable in ranked because Chaos is everywhere.

By

Seemed cool but what to do?

It looked like a cool game but I played the tutorial and one additional mission then I was clueless as what to do next. Multiplayer was closed for the season and I couldn’t seem to find a campaign mode.

By

Devs still don’t know how to balance a game

If you’re insisting on playing, just buy abbadon, a handful a boosters, and you’re set. Unless they debuff how easy it is to steamroll with chaos, you’ll only lose if your draw hand is abysmal.

Blood for the blood God!

Though it’s too early to fully rate this game, I can say Warpforge has an incredibly fun, deep, tactical, addictive, graphically stunning five star foundation in place that can easily become a must play CCG if the developers continue to build on what is already in place. If you like Warhammer, CCGs, or anything turn based with strategic depth, this game is probably already a must play for you as it was for me.

Between daily rewards, missions, weekly rewards, campaigns, the forge, and the shop there is a good variety of ways to acquire cards. Another fun way to add to your collection is a free daily draft that offers rewards upon completion. The draft is also a great way to try out cards you’ve not acquired yet.

I’ve tried just about every CCG on the market for decades now and I think Warpforge definitely has the potential to be considered among the best of the best in time. After playing so many games over the years it’s difficult for a new one to impress me, but this one has thoroughly done so, and I’m excited for the factions yet to come! Blood for the blood God indeed!

Was excited but seems like a cash grab

I was excited to see the game I’ve been super interested in the lore and have been watching other 40k related games on yt I also was super in to mtg mobile so I was excited to check it out and when I first played through the tutorial I was excited for it but I am greatly disappointed with the outcome of the gameplay. The starting deck is extremely interesting in concept with the cards main idea being behind soul stones that troops drop after death to empower other card ability’s or spell cards but in practice the moment you try and practice or go into multiplayer it’s incredibly hard to win a single match with the deck you can say it’s a skill issue but I’ve had some success in MTG and I think the skill would translate a bit and this started deck just seems to be made very poorly to encourage the purchase of packs or a whole new deck to make the game easier and more fun to play. Disappointed and I wish it wasn’t so because I was excited to play.

By

Cards too small

The games decent but the cards and graphics are way too small and theres no way to change anything in the settings. Dont know if theyre trying to hide the card graphics but I just wish there was more to look at besides the usual hit points, attack, etc, etc

By

Unbalanced Mess

The game started out fine with minor balance issues. Was excited when they released the Tau until I saw what it did to the game.

The game is just not fun and has worse balancing issues in its current state (as of this posting) than any other TCG I have played besides MTG, which is the gold standard for terrible balance and pay to win mechanics.

If you want more MTG, play this game, otherwise avoid.

By

Amazing game!

I love this game! It’s so fun. I highly recommend playing it for its complexity, lore connections, and high-effort graphics.

By

Good solid game

I took a lot of drugs before I played this game, now I’m on slightly less drugs. Thanks warpforge your keeping me from overdosing.
